Evans Tire maintains this is their headquarters. *** a driving safety NPO saving lives since ****, attempted to report the stolen **** auto binder, from Sports Arena Blvd SD where they charged over $2300 and then maliciously and criminally stole from the Thunderbird glovebox the **** binder with registration, insurance proof and other documents of value accrued over 20 years, the Evans manager was rude, and wanted to hangup when the *** rep said if he did not help they would seek damages and file consumer complaints, Evans said "O now your are tyring to exhort money!" when it is common and legal to suggest legal or consumer actions will be taken against a criminal or fraudster if they do not come clean. After the call "*****" from the Sports Arena shop admitted he had removed the binder that had a steering lock, but could not say he put it back or what happened to it, and refused to help. So with this confession it is proof they either maliciously stole it, or stole it for attempted identity theft or other crimes as this was dissevered as common practice when researched online. This theft and mendacity has stranded the *** as well as interred with essential public safety work now for over two days, and Evans should pay for this evil act.Business Response

I had positive experiences with Evans Tire in the past, but my recent visit to the Rancho Penasquitos branch was disappointing (05/02/2023). I went there because my Tesla Model 3 was vibrating at high speeds. They falsely diagnosed my car's vibration issue and performed a tire balance and wheel alignment, but the vibration issue persisted. I suggested that loose foam in the tire might be the cause (there were a lot of online posts about this issue at *****'s stock tires), but they dismissed the idea and said its not possible. After they performed the alignment service, and do a test drive with my car, they called me and told me that vibration problem is gone. However, the vibration problem remained. I returned again another day, but they still refused to check the foam, claiming it couldn't be the cause. They performed another round of wheel and tire balance, and test drive. When I receive the car problem was still there. I returned for the third time, and told them my car still vibrates. After three unsuccessful attempts of repair and communication, I took my car to *************************, where they discovered the root cause is infact the loose foam in the tire. They removed the loose foam, solving the vibration issue.Since Evans Tire's services didn't fix the issue, I am requesting a refund of $250 for the alignment service. I have reached out to Evans Tire through their website but have yet to receive a response. I have receipts from ****'s Tire if needed. Also, Evans Tire can reach out to Tesla ********* to get a confirmation about my car's loose foam issue.Initial Complaint

I went to Evans Tire and Service Centers on Roaecrans in ********** on March 30 **** for a suspected brake problem. I was quoted 2 options: replace rotors and pads for one axle or both axles. I was told one axle was completely bad and the other one was almost there. I opted to replace both pads and rotors for both axles. I paid $2000 which I thought was extremely high. I went to another auto shop March 31 to find out what the same job would cost at their shop and was quoted almost $1000 less. No mention was ever made of replacing calipers I never received a final invoice from Evans and the papers I received are missing pages 2 and 4. Evans charged me for replacing calipers, but these were not mentioned in original paperwork or conversations with Evans employee.Business Response

Purchase tires with them and include warranty. We had a blow tire over the weekend. Took it to get it replaced I was told they will be prorated so 80 bucks discount. They informed me I needed two tires because one will pull the car to one side. I agree and they proceeded to give me a verbal quote of 400+ for 2 tires. After I told them the whole set of tires was 650+ why is it so much for just 2 tires. They explained warranty will be covered on 1 tire not 2. After agreeing to only replaced 1 tire the final verbal cost was 170 the tire price 160. After telling them I was filling a law suite they got **** off and stop talking and did not provide me with a printed quote. Call representative over the phone they explained the information and gave me a quote of 152. According to them the same quote store gave me. When I ask for a copy of the quote, I was told me to go back to the store and ask for it. I told them I wanted to file a lawsuit and needed a copy. At which point neither phone or person at store wanted to print me a quote. Both the store and phone customer ********************** cover each other. No physical quote its a he/she said. No information of who to forward lawsuit or points of contact. After leaving Evans tires went to Discount tires they check life thread on each tire and provide me a screen shoot of findings. After reviewing all of the information provided by Discount tires. I purchase 4 brand new tires. Evans tires did not check tire treath or the tires at all. Everything was just verbal and a way to look for money. I could have taken the tire with out installing it and for 80 bucks and pay another shop to install it for under 50 bucks making the total less than 130.Business Response

the worst customer ********************** ever by sales and customer ********************** person named ***************************. Very rude and unpolite. I came into the store to request balancing and rotation of my set of tires using the warranty came with when I purchased the set of tires. They only did the rotation not the balancing. I asked ****** more than once include the balancing but still didn't do it. At the moment I noticed my vehicle was taken inside the shop to do the work I remembered about a noise under the car and I asked one the employees that was working in my car to please underneath my car for anything loose. Few minutes after the sales person *************************** came out aggressively, rude yelling I needed to check with him first. I told him that I didn't know and this was not the proper way to approach me. He represents the image of the company and the with that attitude he was very unprofessional. The moment I walked into the store I felt negative energy to me. Someone like ******************************* should to work directly with the clientele and should be remove immediately.Business Response

Of Friday February 3rd I presented at 740am to the ***** tire location on first ave in *********. Prior to this I was in the service center on January 30th for an oil change and break pads. I had come to the service location several times and felt like family; however since new management had taken over and tbh things just didnt feel right from the beginning. When I went in for an oil change **** miles prior, I was told breaks are good but next time you come in you will need new breaks nbd. This time some how some way things must have gone south and now all of as sudden I need all new Roters because they were too worn down. Ok fine, maybe but if that was the case I should have been told of the risk of that at my last visit. Seemed pretty routine though so I agreed. $1200 later I left and realized there was an extreme squealing sound which brought me in on Friday. Upon sitting there I over heard him speaking about low profit from services the day before. #RedFlags The solution according to the manager was to repair the right front bearing. The manager was rather crass in assuring me that that was definitely the problem. After hours of repair that didnt fix the problem. So he decided all new break pads again. They test drove it, and returned the vehicle to me. When pulling off the lot the sound was still there! I drove around the block and pulled right back in. After having been there for 6 hours and two trips to the location, the mechanic told me the problem was that the break hardware was too tight. So I never needed the bearing in the first place. The managers solution was to take off $150 for my time. This was a rather disgusting solution in my opinion. They should have never charged me for that in the first place. When I asked him he told me if I didnt do it my tire would have fallen off when driving and that it was a combo issues..another $510 from me. He lied and took advantage. Im very very upset and will most likely never return to this shop. again.Business Response

I went to go swap my tire from my rear passenger rim that was damaged on the inside lip caused by myself. I purchased a new rim and brought it in asking supervisor, whos name I didnt get, if it was possible for them to put the new rim on with tire on my damaged rim. He said no problem, just a little wait. Waited an hour patiently, and I discussed the **** sensor to make sure they know how to deal with that, because I have little knowledge on that subject. He agreed and assured everything will be good to go. Once damaged rim was taken off, a little wait and he contacted me saying the **** sensor broke. He explained he wasnt lying and the light for tire pressure should have been flashing and thats proof it was damaged before they touched my car. I then explain that it wasnt flashing and reading tire pressure this whole time before I brought my car in. I felt it wasnt right and I shouldnt have to pay for a new one when everything was fine before they touched it. And he then told his mechanic to just put the damaged rim and tire on and sent me on my way. As I drove home I noticed that NOW the sensor wasnt reading my pressure for that tire. Thats when it hit me that it was working before this whole time and after I took it in to Evans Tire it was now not working. I called corporate and immediately filed a complaint over the phone because it was a simple $30 install quoted and now turned into a $140 mistake not by anyone but someone from their shop who took the tire off. They made me feel like it was damaged when I damaged my rim. But I know Its not true when it was reading tire pressure before I took it to them. Very very upsetting, honestly and all they had to do is admit that it was a mistake and replace it for me. But instead sent me away with no fix and very unsatisfied. So much frustration that they would upsell me because of their mistake. Im Determined to hold them accountable. Sincerely, ***********************Business Response

I visited the Lemon Grove, SD location yesterday 12/6/22 to get a tire rotation and to check my alignment around 12:30pm. ***** was the man who we met. At 1:26pm he called describing further repairs that were needed. Including new struts, arms, and front tires. He quoted us around $225 when asked what the estimate would be walking out of the store. However, when I went to pick up the car, the invoice read it to be over $2500. ***** was not present, but was called on another employees phone. ***** was trite and sarcastically said, "No where in ********* will you get this work done for that price." We requested the recorded phone call, documenting the conversation we had. Within the Automotive Repair Act, I am guaranteed a total estimate of labor and parts, which was not given to me. I am willing to negotiate the price, but if met with the same kind of negligible service I will be getting a lawyer.Business Response

I purchased a part from Evans tire (100 amp alternator installed. Order number *******). The 100 amp alternator was faulty so Evans ordered another alternator. The replacement alternator was installed. As I was leaving the service tech came to me and said its only a 65 amp and not a 100 amp as ordered and paid for. The tech walked away before i could question him, he knew that it was not the correct alternator. I left as i wanted to check my order as to what I had ordered. Took a few days but I found my order. The order was clear a 100 amp alternator was orded and paid for. The 65 amp alternator caused battery problems as it could not handle 12 volt load in my jeep. Being involved in off road racing and car racing for many years I* knew I needed the 100 amp alterenator. to handle my power needs. It should be noted as required, no change order was noted, obvious they knew I would not accept the smaller alternator it cost less so Evans made more money I went to Carquest, I have the receipt, and bought the correct alternator, 100 amp. The alternator was $60.00 less, more money was made by Evans with the inflated price they charged me. I* went to Precision Tune in ******** and they said for a charge they would replace the alternators. (Invoice number290147) I have the 65 amp in hand to return but Evans have ignored my e-mails.Initial Complaint

Im a 12+ year customer, I dropped my vehicle off on Tuesday, October 4th at 7:30 AM, I was the very first person in line and the very first person to get helped. I was assisted by a short built, light skin, Mexican guy with tattoos all over his arms, I think ******. He promised that my car would be ready at the end of the day. Dropped my car off for an oil change, tire, rotation, tire balance and alignment. I specifically told the guy that I was dropping it off early so that I can have it back at the end of the day, because I was tired that every time I would drop my vehicle off before, they would call me right before they close to tell me they need to keep it overnight. On Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 6:30 PM. The same guy called me to tell me he was working on my car himself and that he was almost done and was going to have it ready tonight. I told the guy DO NOT rush the work, do it right and Ill pick it up tomorrow. He replied by saying, OK, thank you, come pick it up first thing in the morning when we open, it will be ready. On October 5, 2022, I was not able to pick up the vehicle when they first opened because I was hold up in meetings at work. I called at 10:30 AM on October 5, 2022 and the car was still not done. The same guy told me that the drain plug was not able to come out and that he didnt want to start the oil change until the replacement drain cap came in (which he now had) and that he was going to have the vehicle ready by 2pm. **Please note that on October 4, 2022 on my 6:30 PM call he told me the oil change was done**.I showed up at 2pm on October 5, 2022 to pick up the vehicle and was told nothing was done.Business Response

no one contacted me after the complaint. The response from Evans is a lie to try to cover themselves.
Corporate called me after the complaint and took down ALL information provided by me. Corporate called me and told me to start using another Evans location, which I've been doing.
The attachment on your response is work that DID NOT get completed, the mechanic confessed to the lie AND I have the text from him apologizing for NOT doing the work!
We can play these games, I have ALL the proof at ***** to win this. The more you lie to cover you, the worst it will get.

Hi,
I was out of the country and because of the time difference, I couldnt call back.
I was able to talk to the manager today and he will be doing some research on past work on my car and get back to me.
He will be looking at making sure that previous work was actually done on my car.
