      No issues with any of the loan officers with Pennymac. All went great. I recommend them highly.

      I am a Pennymac customer but only through deception by their loan officer Justin Doster. The loan office lied and told me that the mortgage could be recast. After closing on my new home, I was able to sell my existing home. I tried to use the proceeds to recast the new loan. I called and was given all of the wire information and wired a large amount of money to Pennymac for the recast. I was later told that I couldn’t do the recast. This is clearly a bait and switch on Pennymac’s part. Do not trust this company

      Our mortgage was sold to them about two years ago. I set preferences to paperless statements and notifications. I received a notice that my payments were behind and that the escrow payment had gone up some months ago. I paid the difference and adjusted my autopay thinking I missed the email notification. I received a similar letter dated October 25, 2023 saying the same thing. I checked my emails and had nothing from PennyMac except solicitations for new loans, I complained in a message to them and got a call tonight explaining to me that if I opt for paperless statements and notifications they don't send anything unless you go somewhere else in the account settings and request email notifications. Paperless with every other institution I do and have dealt with meant digital notification and statements, email. It didn't mean no notification. This appears to me a way for them to get more late payment fees.

      I have two other loans held by Pennymac but I didn't deal with Pennymac directly when I first obtained those; my loan officers had been with Keller Mortgage. This is the first time using Pennymac from preapproval to closing. I would do it again. I felt the process was pretty smooth and efficient. At the onset I was offered 1k in lender credit towards closing which had disappeared by the time I saw my closing disclosure. I raised hell and the leadership team eventually agreed to honor it. This miscommunication/misunderstanding was the only blip during the whole process. In the end everything worked out. The terms they offered were superior to other lenders I considered using.

      PennyMac has been our loan servicer for about four years now. We bought our first house in 2020 just as the pandemic was getting started, and the user interface on their website is excellent, with all of the information you could want at your fingertips. We enjoyed their service so much that we used them when we sold and bought our second house halfway across the country.

      I already have a loan and have never been late for over 10 years. I got a VA approval letter. I put down $7,000 in earnest money and the loan officer kept in touch with me stating everything was going perfect. He went on vacation and another took his place. That is when problems started. The new one kept requesting documents that had already been submitted and at one point wanted a new approval from VA. The VA told me it was faster if the loan company requested it. I told that to the loan officer and he said no, that I had to submit (which is incorrect). He kept making me resend statements that had already been submitted. Made me payoff my truck loan and then ONE day prior to closing they denied my loan! I was not going to be able to get my earnest money back. The loan officer said oh well call your realities it is not our problem. Thank God my realtor found another mortgage company that approved and closed in 5 days.

      Extremely disappointed at the insurance customer service!!
      I called to get my declaration page i have been on hold for 1 hour and 8 minutes
      They are extremely rude and instead of giving me a number for home insurance they gave me a number for health insurance. They just drop the call when they don't have an answer and refused to get me in contact with a supervisor
      The only info she gave me was her supposed name
