      I agree with the majority of these reviews. This mortgage company is absolutely terrible. They shouldn't have an A+ rating. They don't care about their customers and will not do anything to help in any way. I spoke to them on the phone to ask for a one-time customer courtesy and they didn't care. All they said was "sorry". Please try and stay away from this company, The customer review rating should be no more than 2 stars. I've been in good standing with the company for over 7 years and never asked for any customer courtesy, the one time I ask for it they don't care and do not do anything to try and help. I asked to speak to a manager and they put me on a brief hold to transfer me to a manager. After 2 minutes a person came on the line with a different name but sounded exactly the same as the first person. This type of customer service is unprofessional and terrible. STAY AWAY FROM PENNYMAC.

      I’ve messaged Pennymac several times in the message center and they never reply back. Then when u need a partial release they take forever and don’t even get back to you. It’s terrible. Still waiting to get that.

      This company is terrible. They made mistakes on my escrow account and allowed my insurance to lap. This caused the price to go up. They don't care and are making Billions of Dollars of our backs. We should rise up, honestly. This is humiliating.

      I hope that this company never gets ahold of your mortgage. They do not care about their customers, on their money. When you try and get ahead of a looming financial hardship Pennymac wants you to default on your loan before they will even attempt to help you. When you call the call center to talk to someone about your options their script wont let them give you options until you are already in default on your loan. When you ask to speak with their department that deals with financial hardship, the supervisor will tell you that they can not transfer you to that department because you do not qualify for any of the services they offer. Everyone should hope and pray that this is not your mortgage company, and if they are, you should talk about getting your mortgage transferred to another company and run as far and as fast as you can.

      Go through someone else this place sucks… don’t you dare fall into financial hardship cause this place does not care if you are 1 day late on your payment passed the 30 days they will ruin your credit soon as that clock strikes passed midnight on day 30.. they could care less about you and any issues you have.. if I could’ve gone through someone else or could switch I definitely would..

      Terrible customer service when calling the Insurance Claim Check Department. They are so scripted and unable to explain why they are unable to release additional funds for work after a natural disaster that a legitimate contractor requests and Pennymac has received the funds from the insurance company and acts like it's their money and refuse to release the funds per the contractors agreement needed to start the rebuild on the home. And they can't explain why other than it's their policy. All the while they are earning interests on the money that the insurance company sent. They build walls vs bridges and make it extremely difficult to get work done on their/my home. It makes no sense and they just don't care that their customer is going through a tough time dealing with all of things that happened because of a natural disaster.

      Terrible customer service experience. Trying to find out anything about insurance from a real person, you get stuck in automated call loops with their insurance department. Call regular support and ask to be transferred to a real human in the insurance department, and you get disconnected before the transfer completes, or after the person in the insurance department puts you on hold. And of course, they won't call you back, so good luck starting that process again from the beginning.

      I have a mortgage through PennyMac and I just refinanced my home. The process was painful from start to finish. My loan officer would never get in touch with me directly and I only dealt with surface level people that I contacted through customer service because I could never get a call back from him. I requested multiple times that they contact me and only me and not my husband, because only I was working on the application, and they called him and only him every single time. It was frustrating for me an embarrassing for them because not only is this incredibly sexist, but the whole process took 3 months longer than it was supposed to because nobody got in touch with me and when I finally did manage to get a hold of the loan officer or somebody who works with him, I was talked over and interrupted constantly. Nobody had been updating each other on the status of our application. They called the wrong Title Company multiple times, and never called back the correct one when we finally put them in touch and they requested information from them. There was no communication with me or with each other. I couldn't even get the final dollar amount of the cash we needed to close until the morning of the signing, after having been told four separate totals within the previous 24 hours. They are over automated and embarrassingly disorganized, non-communicative, and despite having closed over a week ago, I'm still getting spammed with calls from them multiple times a day asking if I'd like to begin the refinance process. No matter who I talk to, I can't get my number taken off that list. I am not going to be working with them again and neither should you
