      Pennymac is my mortgage company and responsible for submitting my tax payments each year. I received a notice that there is a lienonmy home for unpaid taxes in 2023. I immediately escalated this for investigation and they acknowledged that "something happened" and part of my tax payment was overlooked. This is upsetting but things happen and, honestly, the city should have reached out at some point before placing a lein. Well this was 3 weeks ago and Pennymac has dome nothing to assist in resolving the issue. I was given a tracking number and have followed up several times but they're sitting on this payment, completely indifferent to the risk to my home and stress this is causing me. This is not the first time they've been awful to deal with over a problem they've created. Ive been with these people 5 years now and they absolutely do not care about their customers.

      PennyMac called me, tried to upsell a home equity product and after I respectfully declined (my words: "I'm sorry I'm not on the market for any new products right now, but thank you for calling" --- they promptly hung up the phone on me like a true professional. Whoever made that phone call at 3:34pm Central Time to me on 4/8/2025 should be taught some basic phone etiquette. It's impossible to speak to a human being to file this complaint because their only "live person line" is a dead line (the one ending in 4001). I tried calling that and it beeps that the line is not connected. I was able to connect with a human, but only when I selected that I was interested in a product on their automated voice line (go figure). The gentleman was friendly and took my information and said he'd pass it along, but my trust of that actually happening at this point is not very high. I hope someone from the company reads these reviews given this kind of experience, I'm not hopeful. Thanks for wasting more of my valuable time by having me get hung up on, research phone numbers, call dead phone lines, search for ways to file complaints online, have to do it through BBB because your website doesn't make it easy, and then type this super short post. This experience has been a wonderful inconvenience for me as a paying customer to your bank due to you soliciting me for products. Great job pennymac.

      My experience mirrors that of the other one star reviews to an alarmingly similar degree. I doubt the legitimacy of the 5 star reviews. I have called several times and had several issues without having anything resembling a good experience. Everyone is rude and they act like they know what they’re doing but they all say different things then blame you when you get confused. It’s predatory and sneaky too. Don’t take forbearance with them, it’s going to end in default anyway apparently.

      I wish they didn’t buy my mortgage! Amazing how they can just do that - and for what - so the CEO can make 7 million a year. They screwed up my account and made me spend a month calling foreign call centers in the Philippines before they stopped lying to me and admitted they also have call centers in the USA. ???? speaking of USA, why would team USA support a guy that makes $7 million dollars a year In this kind of a racket: maybe if the CEO didn’t need to make $7 million dollars a year Pennymac would not need to hire people in foreign call centers for probably %10 of what a job in the USA would pay, and maybe they wouldn’t screw up peoples loans/escrows! If you have a choice….use a different company; of course, if they buy your USA mortgage and have the Filipino call centers handle your calls…….good luck! Yay Team USA…..boo Pennymac! On a positive note, I’m sure the multi million dollar CEO of PennyMac will score some great free tickets to events, while the rest of us scrounge together our pennies to catch an event or two. Oh wait maybe I don’t have anything positive, but they won’t let me give 0 stars. Maybe one day they will figure out their error and give me my money back.
