I advise people to stay away from them! We went to Paysafe because other businesses in our industry use them. As a new online business, we wanted to use a processor that worked with similar businesses. After taking payments for a week, we got an email saying they were closing our account because of risk. We reached out and contacted the Risk Analyst who made this decision. He was rude and didn't seem interested at all in helping us fix whatever the issue was. What we were told baffled us; they closed our account because we had too many declines, too many transactions that were "forced transactions." Not a single person in the industry could tell me it was a real term. They said they couldn't find our business website on Google. Our business is the first result on Google when you search it, so that's just absurd, and clearly, they never looked. All of our transactions went straight from the customer through the gateway to Paysafe. We don't have any hand in the transaction process. As for the declines, what online business doesn't have customers that get declined? They are holding all of our money from us for 180 days. We just started our business a week ago. We depended on these funds to keep our new business afloat. We explained how our business worked when we signed up, and we even expressed that because our sales were all online we needed higher-risk processing.
We contacted our account rep, who said he could run us a new application because our original one was set up as MOTO, which means Mail Order Telephone Order, which is not how we take payments, he processed a new application, which was denied because of our other account. When we reached out, our rep told us another set of reasons why our old account was closed. We were told 3 different sets of reasons why our original account was closed; we went to Paysafe because they specifically have a division that handles our higher-risk industry. Never again!

      Thank you for allowing
us the opportunity to address your concerns. The account is set up as a Video
Game Arcade with 100% keyed sales. During our initial review, we identified
several red flags, including 100% internet sales, high declines, forced sales,
prepaid cards, etc. These signs unfortunately are prevalent with identity theft/
fraud, and the decision was made to part ways, which is allowable under the
terms and conditions of the merchant processing agreement with or without
cause. We did receive a great deal of information from the merchant, and the
analyst escalated to management. We learned, and later confirmed with our sales
office, that the account was submitted in error as 100% MOTO (keyed), leading
to the issue noted previously. We also learned the issue with what appeared to
be forced sales is due to a fraud suite with Auth.net which categorizes these
as forced. A forced sale is one that is accepted without authorization, or
‘ticket only’ and often results in chargebacks. With the explanation from the
merchant and confirmation of this suite of settings with auth.net, we agreed to
have the merchant submit a new application as 100% internet. This was approved and
      is currently open as agreed.

At this time, all funds processed on the original
account have been deposited. The new account is open and active with no funds
held back. We do apologize for any misunderstandings around the initial
submission as 100% MOTO, and the issue around how the processing is interpreted.
We hope this satisfies your concerns and going forward we will monitor as
      normal.

      Thank you.

Do not trust this company. It is a truly a scam. Look at all the other reviews from people that are saying the same thing. This company literally took our money (over thousands of dollars) that 2 customers gave us from 2 different invoices we sent them for our services. Paysafe sent us ONE email stating they are closing our account because of “actual processing observed is inconsistent with expected”. The risk management analysis Monica would not even tell me or my husband who OWN our business, the reason why they took and withheld our money. She just kept repeating herself stating that they can’t disclose that information and after 180 days (6 months) there will hopefully be an explanation as in we should get our money back if everything checks out. We literally have never done anything wrong, we just started out at the end of 2020 meaning we didn’t even have employees until 2021. Since then, we have been by the book with everything. This Paysafe is literally a scam company. Do not trust them or SwipeSimple. They are associated with each other. SwipeSimple also withheld so much info from us when they tried to get our services. They didn’t mention that they are a financial institution and a risk department. You will regret it if you use their services, I promise you. Don’t fall into the same trap I did. If I can help at least ONE person or company from getting their money taken, that’s good with me. I usually never write reviews, but I just had to make others aware of Paysafe. This company should be shut down. It almost seems illegal to just take our money without a reason. We will most likely have to get our lawyer involved at this point and take further action. it is a real shame at this point. We are a small business trying to do right in life and make a future especially for our kids and Paysafe just steals our hard earned money. I literally can not believe that Miles who I was dealing with at SwipeSimple withheld all that information from us about Paysafe.

I opened my acct in March, for one transaction a month for a Long Term Rental. This was my first time to ever use a CC Merchant. The sales rep advised, I would not have to worry about all the fees, but just the 3% plus a minimal fee for 1 transaction. I watched the deposits for 3 mths and the fees were fine. However, in June, the fees jumped to $128, that is almost 9%. Then in July the fees were $184.90 which is 12.8%. When I called in Aug, they told me I was NON PCI Compliant, and the $59.95 was included and in July an additional $90 + was added because I entered the payment in SwipeSimple after 5:00pm, which is utterly ridiculous. They asked me about 7-10 questions that were also ridiculous and did not pertain to my monthly rental transaction, but they refunded me $59.95 for August. but refused to refund for June or July. I was never told anything about the NON-PCI Compliant fee specifically, and was told that non of the other fees pertained to me in the contract. Because I was trying to inquire about them to my rep when signing up. He seemed in a hurry to get off the phone also, as I recall. Mind you I only have one transaction a month. I attempted to call several times to discuss this with Paysafe, which I thought was Leaders Merchants, But, I could not get any resolution. Every person that answered the phone spoke English as their 2nd Language and difficult to understand. They refused to transfer to an English speaking person, or even to a manager. I called my Bank and filed a claim on the amts charged, and closed my account with Pay Safe.
I recvd a letter today from Bank Card Center, and does not say PaySafe anywhere or Leaders Merchants but the Merchant Services number at the bottom matched the number I called several times 1-XXX-327-0093. I spoke with a rep, also, English as his 2nd language, he refused to resolve the matter, but said he would escalate and gave me a tkt #. He did use threatening words that the amt owed would be reported to credit agencies.

      Greetings,
Thank you for your review. Our records indicate the merchant account was not billed for August, however there is an outstanding balance due for services rendered. One PCI Non action fee was refunded. The company will refund the 2nd PCI Non action fee once the Collections payment has been received.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our Customer Service team.
      Thank you.

We started using Leaders, The Merchant Services Company in May-2021. In those 2 years our account has been under “REVIEW” twice and credit card charges were blocked from being deposited into our bank account. The company that is in charge of the “REVIEW” is called PaySafe Group. The current “REVIEW” started on April 10, 2023 and is ongoing. We have not had any credit card charges deposited into our bank account since the “REVIEW” started. We did not know our account was under review until May 4th, 2023 which was 25 days after the review started. We learned about the “REVIEW” when we received an email from PaySafe Group requesting documentation, which we forwarded on May 5th, 2023. We was told on May 8th the review was complete and the money would be deposited into our account. On May 16th, 2023 We contacted PaySafe Group because the money was still not deposited into our bank account. I spoke to someone named Steve that worked at PaySafe Group (he refused to give me his last name) and was told that my account was still under review and our company would need to forward 3 months of bank statements. When I complained that our money had already been held up for 36 days S**** told me that our company was a liability to Leaders and that PaySafe could hold our funds for up to 6 months. During my conversation with Steve he was curt, rude and unprofessional.
The trend that I notice with PaySafe Group is they tell you the review will only take a couple of days and request documentation. When the couple of day has expired PaySafe Group will request more documentation. In this manner PaySafe Group drags the “REVIEW” process out making it take longer than expected. The process could take could take days, weeks or months. When you deal with PaySafe Group expect to be lied to by their employees. Any company dealing with PaySafe Group should expect to as treated as though you are guilty until proven innocent.

I have used its merchant service ( Paysafe, Flagship) since 2016. Last August in 2022, I switched it to another merchant company due to their high fees. My manager called them to cancel the service but was told it can only be canceled once the credit card reader has been returned. The company sent us a shipping label and we have returned the machine right away in 8/2022. I thought the account has been closed.
      It is not.
They continue to debit my business checking account even there is 0 activity since 8/5/2022. The fee is amazing once there are no activities. In Dec. it is $177.80. I have found the problem when I do my Taxes this Month. I contacted them for refund. They simply refused to refund. They insisted the account is not closed.
So I request to close the account. This time they send me an Email. Based on the instruction, I filled the form to request to close the account starting in last August. They granted my closing then sent me an Email to request the card reader to be returned or i will be charged for $145.
My manager called them again and this time they acknowledge they got the credit card reader last year, but still refused to refund the money they charged from 9/2022-4/2023.
This thing should never have happened if I received the Email to close the account first then return the credit card reader as they instructed me to do recently. In fact, we were misinformed and did what exactly they told us to do. We never received any Email to fill out a form to close an account.
There is no reason to continue to debit my account once they received my card reader since we could not do anything without it.

I would give MINUS 10 stars if I could. This deplorable, despicable company accepted my 35+ years in business application to process CC sales here and within days after approval, receiving their terminal and processing a few thousand dollars in sales, LOCKED MY ACCOUNT, HELD MY FUNDS AND THEN CLOSED THE ACCOUNT! Why? …because an imbecile at paysafe “says” because I sell INDOOR GARDEN SUPPLIES people buy to grow cannabis, i must be selling cannabis. The ignorance is dumbfounding. I don’t sell cannabis or run a dispensary, a choice I made long ago. The idiot at paysafe evidently just can’t handle that truth. Complaint being foiled with BBB, NYS DCP and FTC. Just look at the hundreds of Paysafe complaints on BBB alone!

      Greetings,
The merchant processing account was boarded as a Music Store. During early reviews, products which are prohibited by the sponsor bank, such as CBD, Delta 8 and Hemp were identified through online reviews. During our merchant interview, merchant confirmed business has transitioned to the sale of cannabis growing supplies, 'from seed to consumption'. It should be noted that the sponsor bank does not allow processing for products with any affiliation to Cannabis, as it is considered a reputational risk for the bank.
Merchant was not willing to satisfy contractual obligation to provide documentation to support our review, which included bank statements and several invoices. The account was closed due to the sale of prohibited products, misrepresentation of products sold, and failure to provide documentary evidence for a risk review. Funds were released on December 23, 2022 and no funds are currently held.
      Thank you.

Absolutely terrible business practices. I opened this account when I started my business in December of 2021. I have been charged all types of fees and actually never used the account. I closed the account on 12/1, and was charged $105 as "November fees." Fees for what? If i've never even used this account? I was charged that same amount in February of 2022, but that time it was called an "Annual Fee." So which one is it? This company is a complete scam and I am not surprised to be reading the same reviews from other small business owners

0 minus 100 stars if i could. I am reporting them to the FBI for fraud as soon as i finish this report. It is an embarrassing situation but i will tell my story. I started a business in 2019. They say i signed a contract. Business failed (pandemic, age - I'm elderly). Jump to June of 2022. I see this charge of $140 coming out of my account on a monthly basis. I ask my bank. My bank reviews and tells me they are registered as Chase Bank. I have an account with Chase so i think ok. October i look into my Chase Card and i don't see any of these withdrawals attached to my card. Icall Chase. They don't know what i am talking about. I ask the bank again. After telling me they would not stop my withdrawals because i had been having them taken out for so long, they finally provided me with a phone number. This company doesn't answer the phone with the company name and recording themselves to my bank that they are Chase is blatant fraud. Once she tells me what they do and that they had a signed contract since 2019 for a service I HAVE NEVER ONCE USED and started out June 2020 at $9.95, went to $119.85 in March of 2021, to $139.85 Feb of 2022, NEVER RECEIVED AN INVOICE OR A LETTER or anything from them! They have stolen nearly $2800 from an elderly woman without ever notifying me. These people are scam artists! Oh and when i asked how could they NOT notice that they are charging someone who doesn't use their service, she told me that they don't have programs that would be able to tell them that!! Bulls**t!! They are a financial company!!! I asked for copies of everything, all correspondence, statements, contract, etc. So far, i have not received a thing. I will be reporting them as fraud with the government (FBI), taking avantage of the elderly, and to every TV station I can get to air my story (I have a few friends that work for the news channels). These people better pay me back every penny they stole from me. RUN, DON'T WALK!! STAY AWAY!!!!!
