We inherited a home from a deceased relative and paid the $1553 premium to insure the home until it sold as the premium was due Shortly after the home sold we called the agent to cancel the policy and were told we would be receiving a refund. To. date we have received 4 different checks all made out to our deceased relative who obviously cannot sign the check. Farmers refuses to put our name on the check as it is their policy to make it out to the policy holder. The agent that we worked with should have changed the policy into our name knowing what Farmers policy on refunds is. They have told us theres nothing they can do, that this is their policy and so they are keeping our money, which they tell us is over $1600. What else can we do?

I recently called Farmers Insurance to cancel my auto insurance. I notified them in April that I was canceling in May because I was going with a different company at a much cheaper rate. They tried to charge me for several days of insurance after I had canceled. I finally was able to get it straightened out after Calling several times and sending them a copy of my new insurance. Then we canceled our home owners insurance with Farmers and told our agent to cancel it on July 1st since that was when our new coverage would go into effect. Then we received a letter that our home owners insurance was canceled on June 23rd. It was the weekend so we couldn't contact anybody. We were without homeowners insurance for a week. The Farmers agent was told several times to cancel it on July 1st. We had been long time customers of **********************. Never in the past have we ever had such poor customer service.

******** *******, a Farmers agent near ************, is using a tik tok account @YourTXFarmersAgency to campaign on behalf of ****** *********** tariffs. While doing so hes telling people he has a 143 IQ, and skipped all of his college classes. I dont know if Farmers is okay with people using their brand to assist political campaigns, but Im guessing they arent okay with their agents using their brand to call potential customers stupid. Overall ******** is just extremely unprofessional, and rude. Do whatever you want on your own time, with your own ************** own brand. But doing so with a business account is just clearly unprofessional. I guess that was covered in one of the college classes he skipped.

Farmers Insurance is woefully behind the times in terms of billing practices, and apparently unable to deal with the intricacies of their own computer system. In late April my credit card, used for autopay on the Farmers' site, was compromised (not by Farmers). It was necessary to replace it, and I entered the new number into Farmers' online system. They attempted to charge the OLD card a few days later, and told me I needed to fill out a paper form to accompany my new card info (this form is not mentioned on their website where you add your payment source) So I completed the form, returned it, and waited for Farmers to bill me. And waited, and waited... I called their servicing agents once a week for all of May and half of June, concerned that the policies would lapse, and attempting to pay what I owed. Each phone call was a different excuse: my account was in transition, they needed to manually reenter the payment permission form, my balance showed as $0.00, billing was stuck and they needed to cancel my policy number and reissue with a new one, etc., etc. I wasted hours of my time and their service ****** TRYING TO GIVE THEM MY MONEY. By June 20, I gave up. I cancelled all my Farmers' policies as of June 30. Lo and behold, five days later I received an email reminding me that even though I was cancelling, I needed to pay my balance or it would be sent to collections. ***! Included with the email was my bill, which it said I could pay over the phone. Surprise! When I called, it said I couldn't pay because the policy was cancelled. Even a human at ****** (the servicing agency) could not see a balance due, and couldn't help. So, I wrote a check, sent it certified mail, and am hoping this is finally resolved. ****** learned: do not deal with a company that has not entered the 21st century in terms of financial dealings online. I changed my payment source for at least a dozen businesses that day in April, and NO ONE ELSE had issues. Get with it, Farmers Insurance!

******* ******* agency, part of Farmers Insurance, was my agent for years but my flood insurance rates went up hundreds of dollars year by year so I went elsewhere this year. Without my permission Farmers billed my mortgage Company so I canceled it, but have been fighting them dragging their feet for over six weeks to refund my $1861 premium. sincerely **** ****

Caution: One of the most frustrating insurance experiences Ive ever ****** issue with Bristol West began with a billing discrepancy involving a policy sold through their partner, ***** Insurance. Despite repeated efforts to verify my balance and prevent any problems, I was passed back and forth between both companies, misinformed, and ultimately penalized for their ********************.I provided chat logs, payment confirmations, and reached out to corporate yet Bristol West still insisted I owed the remaining balance. They admitted the issue stemmed in part from Jerrys errors but deflected all responsibility. Their Resolution Team blamed my bank, then reversed course and acknowledged return fees had been waived. They repeatedly reminded me ***** is independent while continuing to refer me back to them it was a complete runaround. Most customers dont realize that **********************, owned by Farmers Insurance, outsources much of its customer service to foreign call centers. When you call, youre connected to agents reading from scripts who cant truly resolve anything. I spoke to multiple ************** Welakazi, and Phirdose and still got nowhere. Then Bristol West had the nerve to email me a survey asking how the call went.Even stopping an auto-draft required navigating red tape. For a company that began in ******* in 1973, theyve lost sight of what customer service ******** ****** ******* said, It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. Bristol West youve done exactly that.

Farmers has been the worst insurance company weve had. We re-newer our insurance last year for them to cancel it claiming my husbands benefits arent valid and that he was terminated from his job (which is a false statement and they had no proof of) they decided to terminate us anyway. Fast forward two weeks we finally get a hold of a manager. They tell us its a problem on their end that they messed up and would fix it and re-instate our insurance. Fast forward today we got pulled over for a suspended registration cuz they never f****** fixed the issue like they said and now they wont work with us cuz they think were deadbeats who cant pay when in reality they ****** up so bad and wont do anything about it. Absolutely terrible company. Has costs me $100s of dollars for their mistakes.
