We keep getting these false bills. I have Not been to ****** in over 10 years and I got there by plane. This is a total scam and I want them to remove all personal information from there records.Business Response

After further review of the bill, we have dismissed the transactions as it was sent out in error. We apologize for the negative experience this has cause the customer. Certain states like WY, **, ** and **, *******; can issue the same plate number for different types of vehicles. This was the case for customer. During the image processing review, agent processing can in most cases decipher through make or model match to the plate of the vehicle, Sometimes weather, glare or time of day can impact this. To ensure this does not happen in the future, we have put the plate number in a special image review queue to look at image information again before the bill goes out through our normal process. As a secondary and final quality check all images are reviewed after the 3rd billing cycle and before any additional fees are assessed to ensure the accuracy of the transaction, in any event the customer does not make contact with us. Customer can reach back out to us if there are additional question. Thank you.

I received a "notice of vehicle registration hold". You all assigned me 2 different account numbers, not sure why but I have no ability to pay on the account number you're claiming I owe on. Please don't make me speak to in incompetent rep. *** me pay online. By the way, this highway is paid off and is now only receiving profits. Preventing people from registering their vehicles is gross misconduct. I also have a sticker on my windshield. Not my fault you guys never took it from there. I am writing to request a payment arrangement for my toll bill, which has now reached $386.70. Unfortunately, I have been unable to pay the bill in full due to financial constraints. When I called to set up a payment plan, my request was denied because I had previously been on a payment arrangement. However, I am committed to paying what I owe and am concerned that the $50 in monthly late fees are making it increasingly difficult to settle the balance.I understand from your website that payment arrangements can be made if I agree to set up an account, which I am more than willing to do. Issues occurred on 6/24/24 and 6/28/24. I am a Minnesota Resident and was driving through ******** with my family. There were 5 of us in the vehicle and we chose to drive in the ***+3 lane on the I70 Central Express Lane. Since there were 5 of us there should have been no charge. I received a bill from ExpressToll (dba. E-470 Public Highway Authority) for $17.76. When reaching out to there customer service center I was told that in the state of ******** you must have a transponder when operating in any ExpressLane for purposes of verifying *** lane occupants. There are no signs on the corridor i traveled indicating this was required. Express tolls other company EZ-PASS that is in ********* does not require a transponder in the vehicle and uses cameras to verify *** lane occupants. If the *** 3+ lane is free and there are no signs that indicate a transponder is required, than why with 5 occupants am I being charged a toll. I have reached out to the ********************************* for resolution from consumer protection as well.Initial Complaint

In April 2024 I received a letter from express toll stating I had a hold on my vehicle registration due to unpaid balance and fines. That was the first and only statement/bill I have received from them. I got a toll charge on May 23, 2024 for a Colorado vehicle license plate # AKW-S49 which was not driving on the toll road but rather this vehicle had been wrecked and was "totaled" and it was being transported on a flat-bed truck. I called the ExpressToll service center on July 30 to report the billing error and ask for a credit. I was told that a credit could not be issued because the toll was collected via the transponder window sticker. I offered to provide evidence that the vehicle could not have been driven on May 23 (police report, photos of wrecked vehicle, etc). I asked why ExpressToll couldn't review the photo evidence that they must have for this date and time and was told they didn't have it which I find hard to believe.Initial Complaint

I recently received a toll bill from the express toll with a date of 7/10/24. Until receiving this I had never received a toll bill with an last 5 years and now express toll wants me to pay an amount which seems criminal to me. They were quick to say well if you set up an account the amount is reduced. They still won't remove the late fees, when I am confused on how I am late when I never received a bill. Express Toll will not allow me to pay my fines. They have multiple times not allowed me access their online payment platform and ask me to put my information at risk by only paying over the phone. This is my 5 time trying to reach out to them with no response. I need to be contacted via Email immediately with a secure way to process my payment information. Ongoing issues with billing from E-470, payment was made and check cashed on 5/30/24 for $18.65. They are not showing any record of this, while I'm looking at my cancelled check. They have also assessed a late charge. I want a final corrected and complete balance to pay, without a late charge. I spoke to operator 199 who told me she couldn't help me and told me to send an email to billing. She was unwilling to assist in any way.Business Response

After further research it appears that the customer check posted to another id for the same customer on another vehicle the customer owned. This was due to customer indicating an old statement number in the memo field which caused it to post automatically to the other id. A supervisor did reach out to the customer to explain. We have applied customer payment and he is aware if processing a check through his bank to list the most current statement number in the memo field, to ensure accurate posting. Customer can reach out to us should he have further questions or concerns. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: This is a completely made up excuse. Their billing is at best poor, their call agents are poorly trained if at all, and they just blame the customer for their mistakes.
