I clicked on an ad on ******** for Green Chef. It proceeded to direct to their website. I looked at the options for their delivery meals, saw that they did not fit my dietary preferences and *immediately cancelled* the delivery that the site had forced me into just to see what they offer. This all happened within 6 minutes. I received a cancellation email from Green Chef. Little did I know that Green Chef is a completely unscrupulous business taking advantage of hardworking Americans. 6 days later I receive an email from *** that ********** is scheduled for tomorrow. Not only am I not even going to be in town so this food will go completely to waste, but they had the nerve to charge me. Their customer support refuses to provide refunds or to allow you to speak to a supervisor and hangs up. Just a full-blown scam meant to target people who dont have the time energy or tech savvy to fight them.Business Response

Looked into Green Chef on 7/12. Site will not let you see items available to purchase without putting in my card Info. Put in info to look, did not see anything I looked and ************** on the same day. Saw charge on 7/16 and email stating my items will arrive 7/19. I contacted customer service who stated that they can't and won't refund items since "order" was placed before cut off date. I never agreed for funds to be pulled and would like a refund please.Business Response

I canceled my Green Chef subscription in the last week of June and was still charged on July 13th for another order. I did not bother to skip future orders because I was cancelling my account. The deactivation process on their website is defective. I completed the entire cancellation process on the Web site on June 29th. I deactivated my plan, and I specifically remember choosing the reasons why. I called customer service today and they told me they have no record of me cancelling and refused to refund the cost of the box that's "processing" and due to ship on Monday. In addition, I cannot use the food due to be shipped because I am not currently at home which I why I cancelled my account! This is clearly a technical error on Green Chefs part and I am requesting that $****** be refunded back to my card. I followed the outlined process on their website to deactivate my account, but because they don't have "proof" I am out ****** of money I need for food and the food they plan to deliver will also go to waste.Business Response

On 6/28/2023, I received an email confirming my order and delivery information. I never signed up for a meal plan. I logged into their website using my email address and cancelled my subscription, a few moments later I received another email stating my subscription was reactivated. Someone is using my email address as an attempt for this company to collect payment details and personal information. This is FRAUD! Not a legitimate business and they should further be investigated!Business Response

I signed up to order meals from green chef. They really didnt have meals that would cover my dietary needs but you cant cancel and you cant see what they offer until you sign up! So I had to order the first week. I skipped the next two weeks online and tried to deactivate my account but if I did I would still be charged for the meal. So I was going to wait to see how the meals were and go back in and cancel. I knew I had over two weeks to do that because I skipped the meals until the 2nd week in July. So I go back into the account on June 25 and they have already charged me $98.41 for 3 meals I can not even eat. I do not eat shellfish which is one meal and the other two were soup meals. The reason I was going to deactivate was the food choices do not meet my dietary requirements. I would have never chosen the meals they are sending but they said it was too late to cancel. They said their records showed I ordered them. I know I skipped the weeks because I had decided already the food would not work for me. Now I will have to throw out these meals that I have paid for costing over $30 each. I never ordered them and the company will not refund my money. I chatted with them and they deactivated my account and sent standard messages that were for mass problematic for anyone with the problem Im having. I think this company is stealing from people. Required payment before you even can look at their food options. Then charge fir meals that were skipped. Its a shame and disgusting that people in a business would intentionally do this to people. English is my second language and I live between two different states. I saw that I had a pending charge this morning from Green Chef, so I called right away about this. They informed me that I needed to cancel the weeks order within 5 days. I tried calling yesterday, but I couldn't talk to anyone in Spanish. Today a friend helped me use a chat online and the person said that I could move the order to later in the week as I'm not in ********* and won't return there until next week. I'm not understanding why this can't be canceled if I'm not in that location, but they are ok with changing the date that the item will be sent. Makes no sense as I'm trying to do what I can and needed my friends help to try and resolve this. I do not want a box next week, as we are not there and I try to explain this. Hello On June 15th I created an account for ******************** Chef and after carefully reviewing the selection of meals, I was decided based on the health restrictions with our family we were unable to eat any of the meals. I quickly submitted a cancelation for the account and later was charged for the order. I called Green Chef and the customer service representative did not provide me any other options. I requested a refund for the box. I was told she could not provide a refund and now my family cannot eat these meals. The representative said she would let me complete a survey but then hung up the phone.Business Response

As a disabled person, I thought I would try Green Chef as a way to make shopping and meal planning easier for me. They charge and hold you to a subscription even to look at the meal choices, which is ridiculous. I ordered one box to try, picked the meal's I wanted, and SKIPPED the next several boxes to see if I would like it. Once I received my first order WEEKS AGO, I decided to cancel as it wasn't for me. I immediately called in to their support as I have had issues with cancelling online in the past with other companies, and CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT WITH AN AGENT WEEKS AGO. I was extremely annoyed when low and behold after checking my bank account, I found ******************** Chef just charged me out of NOWHERE. I IMMEDIATELY contacted them to find out what was going on. I got a customer service agent who after I explained situation, hung up in my face! I then GOT ONLINE and chatted into two different people who refused to refund me DESPITE THIS BEING AN ERROR ON THEIR END. I explained multiple times that I had cancelled my account WEEKS AGO. I EVEN HAVE PROOF FROM AN EMAIL THEY SENT ME. GREEN CHEF COMPANY IS UNETHICAL! I personally have never heard of a company that, if your product has NOT EVEN SHIPPED, that you can't cancel it, ESPECIALLY when there's mistakes made ON THEIR BEHALF!
