After almost six months with this food delivery service, I was thoroughly disappointed with the continuous spoiled meat, broken packages, and late deliveries. I called or sent messages to customer service to report my issues with minimal reparations. At the end of my line with this company, I contacted customer service three times via two methods and discontinued service. I was told I would get a refund for two boxes that were not satisfactory. After receiving daily emails that I had an outstanding balance, and what was continual perceived threats, I called customer service. In an email, I was promised no more contact from the company. This lasted two days and the emails began again. I then emailed the representative for help and explanation, but I haven't gotten a response or cease of communication from the company. requesting payment. I subscribed to Green Chef 12/29/24. I deactivated and unsubscribed to their meal plan the same day of 12/29/24 because I notice they had no meal options I liked. I called them to verify the account was unsubscribed and deactivated and they confirmed as well as emailed me confirmation. Then this morning 12/30/24 I noticed that they were swiping money out of my account and never refunded me back. $1.00 was swiped 12/29/24. $27.98 was swiped 12/30/24 at 3:24am and another $1.98 was swiped at the same time on 12/30/24. This company is a scam. They are shipping my card without my permission or authorization and Im not subscribed nor did I purchase anything from them.Business Response

Prior to Thanksgiving, my partner and I ordered our regular meals (3 per week for 4 people) and added the Thanksgiving Sides add on for 12 people to make Thanksgiving easier. On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, our normal meals arrived, but none of the add-ons. I called Green Chef and they said it was being handled by a secondary company, but I would get the shipment the next day and they would place a "rush" on the order. They offered to just refund my money, but since they said the shipment was coming and I wanted the items, I declined. On Wed, when the shipment did not arrive, I called GC again and was told they had no annotation in the system for the "rush", but they could see the order was still in process and it would be delivered the next day. They again offered to refund my money as "the best solution" but I had 10 additional people arriving for thanksgiving dinner and needed the food, so I declined. On Thursday, you guessed it, the food did not arrive and when I called GC, they said the company policy is to only make one delivery per address per week, so I was never going to get my shipment when it did not arrive on Tuesday since that is my regular delivery date each week. The customer service *** said the system still showed the delivery as out and pending, but they again offered to refund the money as "the best solution". While that was the best solution for the company, it was not for me as I was literally a couple hours from people arriving and had no food. **************** said that was all they could do and processed a partial refund. When I checked the final billing, GC retained my taxes paid, for an item I did not receive and when I called **************** again, I was told the company has no way to refund any taxes collected and since they lost out on the shipment, it was fair for me to eat the tax cost, since they would have to fight for their money from the secondary company. This is a c*** solution when I paid for food I never received.Business Response

I ordered a special Green Chef Box for delivery 12/20 and using my earned Green Chef credit of $177.1) Green Chef tech system glitched and I was charged instead of my credit applying to my Christmas Box on 12/16.2) Live chatted and emailed with *** ********** on 12/16. He refunded me and instead applied the credit (which is now gone from my box) and assured me the box would still come and my Christmas dinner would be there free of any issue. He apologized for the inconvenience and it took about an hour to resolve due to the IT issues and glitches.3) I contacted y'all on 12/19 because I didn't receive the tracking and that seemed odd - which started this whole nonstop canned response and lack of reading. I tried to live chat for hours - no response, sent an email - issue not acknowledged/understood, called TWICE.4) When I talked on the phone before being disconnected I was told that I could choose the closest meals to what I had and if done TODAY for 12/24 and y'all would get them to me free of charge.5) Nothing has been done to get me these meals and every call has been disconnected and no agent comes to live chat.6) Have sent over 20 emails back and forth on 12/19 alone this point I'm beyond livid because this is the worst paper trail and lack of communication I have ever seen. The entire chat from 12/16 should be available. Instead, I get canned chat after canned chat and no resolution, no willingness to acknowledge or admit an issue and nothing is being done to get my family the beef tenderloin for Christmas (a premium meal) and on a deadline to get resolved.6) We are now entering hour 12 of me having to do this, I think. I have tried contacting CS every way possible, ***************** etc. NO RESOLUTION AND NO HELP!!!! No one even reads the messages and understands? Just canned replies....Business Response

I've used Green Chef in the past, the last time I cancelled their subscription was back in 2/2024. I was cruising the company's site yesterday, 12/14/2024 and all of the sudden, I see a charge on my ****** credit account of $61.35. I called them today, the next day, Sunday, 12/15/2024 and customer service told me nothing they can do I just have to accept because, once I've cruised their site automatically they subscribed again. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, I forgot to cancel the shipment so I was charged. Immediately called to cancel it and get a refund, was told I can't cancel due to their process, but I could change the meal choices. If I could change the meal choices, they could simply refund me. The food isn't made, nor en route. We'll be away from home traveling so the food will sit outside and go to waste. I'd like a refund.Business Response

I placed an order on november 1st. I read the reviews and cancelled 2 hours later at around 7 pm. At 2 am november 3rd i was charged $14.95 for a premium fee. How would I be charged a premium fee before being charged for a subscription box, and why would I be charged anything when I cancelled my subscription. I was planning on trying them when my finances were better but I will not. Even if I had gotten the box there was nowhere that said any of the meals I'd chosen were premium. Anyway, I cancelled in advance, two hours after my order and I should not have been charged anything. Please refund my money, and take ALL of my information out of your system.Business Response

I created an account with ********************** chef to view the options for meal plans. Upon creating an account it said that I was scheduled a delivery 5 days out. I knew I would not be available to receive the box and selected to delay my order in the website, I then proceeded to cancel my subscription. I was under the impression that my account has been deactivated, however today October 9th I realized I was to be receiving a package from them and I had been charged $38 and some change. This entire process is predatory in my opinion. They don't let you look at the meal options without entering card information, which is the only reason I gave them my card information. The cancellation process is confusing and I believe that to be intentional, I find it stunning that I was unaware I had been charged for an order without even making meal selections. Further I contacted green chef about this and they refused to process a return as well as a refund.Business Response

I subscribed to the minimum Green Chef meal delivery plan of 3 meals per week, each meal has 2 servings. Although I selected premium meals, the surcharge of ~$10 was not reflected in the shopping cart before I checked out. In the cart, the meals were $69.12 after a promotional discount. Only after the transaction was processed did I get charged an addition $50.44. The meals are to be delivered 9/24/24 and have already shipped. I don't feel I should have to pay such an exorbitant surcharge especially since the amount is not clearly stated in the total cost.Business Response
