    Scammy and misleading billing and marketing practices. Do not sign up and do not provide emails of friends/family for the "first month free" promo. It's a trap and all your friends/family will hate you for involving them when they get auto-charged for a second box. On the food side - the recipes and food were pretty good at first, however over time the quality of ingredients continued to deteriorate. I kept receiving bad produce that made the recipes ineffective, and then ON TOP of that, it was a huge pain to go through the terrible chat bot to get a refund. That was the main reason I cancelled months ago. The reason I'm coming back to write this review is because loved ones are getting emails from "me" telling them to sign up for Green Chef. The email literally says it's from " via Green Chef". *This means that Green Chef Corporation is deliberately using unethical and misleading marketing practices.*I haven't been a paying customer for months and yet they are using my name without my consent to mislead my loved ones for their promotional emails. There is nowhere on the website to complain or opt out of this. The Live Chat support agent was not trained enough to understand my complaint or provide any sort of resolution. I'm horrified that I cannot control or stop the use of MY name in their promotional materials. Do not sign up and do not give them any of your information.

    I have been sick and wanted gluten-free vegan meals. They ask for payment info before you can select from the menu. When I saw there were only 2 options, I deactivated my account. They charged me anyway. Called customer service and was hung up the 1st time, we back and was told there was nothing she could do. Charge stands. Horrible way do to business. Total scam

    I first skipped all the pending boxes and then deactivated my service, but was still charged for another meal. **************** would not refund or cancel the last order as they said that I had five days to change it, but I wasn't expecting any more charges or orders so I would not have contacted them to cancel it. They refuse to apologize or make the situation right even though I contacted them the same day I was charged. They said I missed the cutoff. I still had five days before expecting a delivery so believe it should have been possible to cancel and refund. I will need to monitor this for some time to ensure they don't just start charging again.

    Missing order , I called today - tried to blame it on me that I was not home: I was home. In the site it says I dont need to be home. I contacted GLS ( shipper) they were extremely rude. No refund for the order. Cancelled my subscription still no refund on the box that never made it.

    Zero Stars is not an option! Don't even look into ordering this food service, you will be charged and even after you cancel they will hit you with another charge and sent more boxes you never even picked the meals for! Horrible customer service, supervisors not available without a 24 hour return call, which is enough time for them to ship another order and charge you again! I have cancelation confirmations and they are still charging and sending packages! Wish I would have read these reviews before attempting to just look into the service! Calling an attorney today, maybe everyone on here leaving the same review as me should all get together and shut these scammers down so others don't go through the same scam!!!

    SCAM! I cancelled my subscription and received a confirmation e-mail stating so. Then, the next week, my credit card was charged. I called an the first representative told me to forward her the e-mail but then she disconnected me. She said she was going to send me an e-mail for me to respond to right before we were discounneted. That never happened. I called and and someone else told be that I had reactivated my accout WHICH NEVER HAPPENED!!!! I never received any e-mails about the next delivery or what meals to choose. The second represenative told me that there was nothing he could do and I could not talk to anyone else. There are NO e-mails from Green Chef since my cancellation confirmation so these people are LYING.

    This company is a scam. They will charge you without completing your order and will not reimburse you. I was searching a few different services and was looking at Green Chef as one option. You have to create an account to try to see the available menu options. Apparently when you create an account it automatically activates the plan and a delivery, which you are not made aware of. As soon as I saw the charge I contacted the company that an error had been made, I had not placed an order. There was no appropriate response, they would not refund my card. My only recourse was to cancel moving forward.

    Like many other reviewers here, I only wanted to look at the menu, but to do so you have to enter credit card information. I didn't select anything, because nothing seemed appetizing to me. At all. So after browsing a few minutes, I just selected CANCEL and forgot about it. Then I see I was charged $44 for meals which are on their way 2 weeks later!! I called and said I wanted a refund, and they said it's too late. The representative even agreed I hadn't selected ANY meals, and canceled within minutes, but I was locked in and NO ONE in the entire company could refund my money. I called my bank and reported it as fraud so they're dealing with this for me now.
    Today I get the delivery and guys, it is underwhelming to say the least. The menus are unappetizing (ground pork patties?? Creamy ancho turkey soup?? Why would I want these???) plus I still have to dice and cook, INCLUDING A ROCK HARD BUTTERNUT SQUASH. Plus, I didn't know when this would get here so it sat on my front porch for 4 hours in the sun, until I happened to see an email saying my box is out for delivery. I ended up throwing away most of the stuff because I hate southwest style anything, and cauliflower rice, and kale, and cilantro, and cabbage, and Parmesan crusted anything. (Which is why I didn't select these ridiculous meals, and canceled IMMEDIATELY.)

    DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! After we used them for a week we decided it wasn't something we could maintain as a family. We put the plan on pause. The following week we notice our credit card has been charged from Green Chef. We received no notice that this was going to happen, nor were we told to select our meals. I chatted with a representative from their company named ****. She told me that yes, they do email the customer before charging their account and also let them know about selecting meals. I looked through my emails - willing to admit that if I missed the notices I would be responsible for the meals. I got 9 emails in 11 days from the company. 2 asking about our first week, 2 asking us to unpause the week we skipped, 1 to review the food we had in the first week and 4 to tell us about all the great things they offer. None of these emails mentioned an upcoming order, or reminded me to pick my meals. I thought **** might be able to verify this and admit they somehow messed up and offer some solution. I was told that it was too late to change anything and "As a friendly reminder, you have 5 days prior to delivery to make any changes or cancel your orders." They are sneaky and deceitful, and would not admit that they did not send any warning and say it it too late to even pick the meals I would actually enjoy eating. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

    Bad business! I set up an account, then. cancelled within minutes. I was still charged. Upon speaking with ***, a representative he informed me even though I deactivated my whole subscription I did not cancel my order and it was processed. Where was this information? It was not anywhere. This is such bad business. I do not recommend this company.
