      Hunter Douglas uses cheap plastic parts. Expensive blind repaired three times in the last year at my expense. Plastic mechanism broken again this will be number four. Better off going to ********** or Lowes and buying a no brand name for a fraction of the price very disappointed.

      Title: Disappointing Experience with Hunter Douglas Window Treatments Review:My experience with Hunter Douglas window treatments has been far from satisfactory. What I anticipated to be a straightforward process turned into a prolonged ordeal lasting from September to April. Despite my initial excitement, the journey to get things right was marred by multiple re-orders and persistent issues with both the product and its motors.The prolonged wait and repeated setbacks were undeniably frustrating. I had hoped to have my window treatments installed and functional within six weeks, yet it stretched into months of inconvenience and disappointment. The delays not only disrupted my plans but also tested my patience and confidence in the brand.While I understand that challenges can arise during the manufacturing and installation process, the extent of the issues encountered was disheartening. The repeated need for re-orders and the persistence of problems with the product and motors left me questioning the quality and reliability of Hunter Douglas window treatments.Overall, my experience with Hunter Douglas has been marred by prolonged delays and recurring issues, resulting in a significant inconvenience and disappointment. As a consumer, I expected better from a reputed brand like Hunter Douglas.

      5000$ piece of junk. We had the duet blinds in the shop being repaired longed than they were hung in our home. push up, pull down, crack, broken. You have to treat it more delicately than a ******* newborn. should have invested 5000$ elsewhere. Avoid this company, buy blinds anywhere else. we're stuck with this unreliable paperweight. This is unacceptable

      We were sold Hunter Douglas Duete honeycomb shades for a sliding glass door. We were told they qualified for energy efficiency from our rep ******************* but as it turns out she was mistaken and they do not qualify. She is unapologetic and said she thought they were but they are not. Kind of an oops sorry response. I think for the price of these blinds the sales person should know what she is talking about. So be wary of what the sales people tell you. Dont order without researching for yourself- get a bid and then research it. Better yet go to Lowes for half the price.

      Hunter Douglas does NOT honor their warranties, about a year ago Hunter Douglas cancelled me as a independent dealer and now I cannot get my customers blinds repaired that are well within warranty. This is costing me over $300 for a temporary shade for this customer, and shipping x 2. This is not my problem but yet I am the one stuck with the burden both financial and emotional. The Customer is rightfully very upset and I did nothing wrong. Because we live in a remote area of CA there was not service center nearby that would come repair the motor. I cant even file the warranty claim myself because Hunter Douglas dropped/CANCELLED our account AGAINST OUR WILL. Mind you, we have sold Hunter Douglas for over 35 years and had a full retail showroom. So honestly what is your solution? How can I make this right for my customer when you guys have done me so wrong and tied my hands? This type of corporate shady business should be illegal. I look forward to the class action lawsuit that comes of this eventually. Tip to the other irate consumers and "ex" independent dealers, buy ****** *** if you would like a window covering company that actually follows through and honors their warranties.

      If I were to select one word for Hunter Douglas, as a manufacturer, it would be incompetence. My wife and I outfitted our entire new build home in *********, ****** with Hunter, Douglas Window Coverings. These coverings were not cheap, but the price should not be an issue with regards to claimed reliability and ease of use. Within one year, the window slider, which is a panel center stack failed. The installing company, ************************ in ********* ****** confirmed the failure and claimed that it would be covered under the Hunter Douglas warranty. Given that this is a custom designed piece, we would be waiting between three and four weeks for a new part to be installed. Six weeks later, ************************ scheduled an appointment for reinstallation of the failed part And that part doesnt work. We have repeated this process three additional times. We have been out of a window covering on our family room slider for six months. Each time Hunter Douglas sends a replacement, that part has a different problem, but has the same result, it doesnt work. That tells me that there is no quality control checks being conducted at Hunter Douglas manufacturing. We are now waiting for our fourth replacement part and I have contacted Hunter Douglas customer service to involve myself in this process. Im supposed to be receiving a contact back within a week and hopefully I can speak with a supervisor who will send an actual representative engineer from Hunter Douglas, to view the problem and devise a solution.

      Beware of Hunter Douglas' "Lifetime Warranty." It does NOT cover labor, which is typically the highest expense, and their handles are poorly designed and frequently break. We've had to replace one handle every six months on our 2014 Applause blinds. Fortunately, those are easy to snap on and off. While the 2019 Applause handle was redesigned to be more robust, it has started to crack after only four years. But since it's bolted on, repairing it is quite challenging, and you only have two options: either risk fixing it on yourself or spend a considerable amount of money to have it repaired by an authorized service agent.If they really stood behind their product, they should also cover labor for anything resulting from "defects in materials, workmanship, or failure to operate". Then maybe their product design team would have proper motivation to design handles that don't break. After all, the handle is the only part of a blind that a person touches. I'm not an industrial designer, but perhaps they could use a more durable material for the handle, such as metal. I knowthat's crazy talk!Hunter Douglas: Please don't respond with quotes from your warranty. It won't change my main point: if you stood behind your products and wanted customers to be "thoroughly satisfied," you would cover all repair costs and make more durable products so they don't need repairs!

      Have owned HD automated blinds for several years, and they have broken down on 5 separate occasions. A truly awful product, especially given the price.

      Hunter Douglas stole my motor.I shipped my product for warranty on the fabric. They told me the motor was broken and there were no replacements. Instead of returning the window shade with the motor. They ripped it out. It worked before shipping it to them.The. When I called to complain they would not speak to me. HD said theyll only speak to the dealer. The dealer didnt touch my product everything was shipped by me. Very dishonest and very very poor customer service. Beware

      I have 5 bottom up/pull down blinds. Have taken all in for repair to where I bought them. $75 for each to send back & repair. They are all not working again. HD no longer sells this blind. I wonder why! The dealer where I purchased them from said I wasnt opening them enough and made me feel like it was my fault they were broken because of y this. What a joke. Not a reputable company. There is no way to contact HD except through a dealer. I am done with Hunter!!!
