      Purchased many Hunter Douglas Duette blinds over the years through Direct Buy.. This is a club that should give you a minimum saving of 20 % over the retail price. I felt the price I was paying through the local Hunter Douglas vendor (****************) was high. After checking, I found that I could buy the exact same blinds for the same price at a local store. I therefore did this and the blinds were installed and are working perfectly. Hence no more buying Hunter Douglas blinds through Direct Buy for me!

      My Architectural firm for years specified or recommended Hunter Douglas blinds until I spent over $6000 for blinds in 3 rooms. I intended to follow up with the other rooms and my vacation home at a later date. The blinds fit and work well in one room with basic 36"x60" blinds. A game room with 36"x72" blinds are too deep for the window inset and are a problem. The biggest problem and disappointment is in the master Bedroom with two sets of sliding glass doors that are 9' wide.The weight is to great for the 9' length and very difficult to operate. The rollers broke twice on one set and the ** warrenty was basically worthless. I had to find a repair person and go through the process of getting the blind to the repair facility. I was not permitted to drop the blind off so I had to pay for the repairman to get the proper box, take the blind down and deliver it to the ** repair facility and then a month later pick it up bring it to my house to reinstall. I did this twice and the cost was around a thousand dollars for the two repairs. I paid about $1000. per blind when I purchased them. The 9' length is too heavy for the ** mechanics but they sold them to me anyhow. The other blind is not easy to use and I'm very careful with it. My wife cannot use either of the blinds and at some point I'm going to just get rid of all the ** blinds and install a better product. The firm now warns clients NOT to purchase **. It's not just the money wasted but the effort and frustration I have had to deal with.

      We had installed Hunter Douglas cellular shades throughout our entire home when we bought it about 12 years ago, and like some of the below reviews, had experienced more issues than we thought reasonable for the amount of use. When several of our shades needed repair again towards the end of last year, I finally called Hunter Douglas customer service directly out of frustration to see what they could do to remedy the situation.To my absolute delight, the Consumer Support Escalation Specialist ******* offered to remake the problematic shades at no cost to us after reviewing our situation (and prior repair invoices). And when she found out that our original fabric had been discontinued, she extended this offer to the adjacent shades in the same room to maintain uniformity. She also sent me punctual updates regarding status as there were several delays due to supply chain issues. I never had to chase her down to find out what was going on and expectations were appropriately set as it did take a couple of months to receive the shades.At this time, all of the new shades have been installed, are operating very smoothly and look beautiful! The company has definitely made improvements to the operating mechanisms and materials as the shades feel more durable now. We're very thrilled with the outcome and our confidence has been restored in the company, so would highly recommend them to consider for your window treatment option.

      I ordered ********** LITE RISE TOP DOWN BOTTOM UP ***** LIGHT FILTERING shade, which was installed in my home 4 years ago. The cost was $940.00. In four years, the shade has malfunctioned 2 times. I live alone and there is absolutely no extraordinary wear and tear that would cause a malfunction. I am disappointed in the quality of such an expensive shade. The copay for the repair last time was $100.00 and still waiting on the quote for this year's repair.

      We're sorry to hear about the challenges you've experienced with your Solera shades. Please continue to work directly with your dealer about options for shade repairs or sending it in for inspection. I did see an email to our consumer team asking if there is a recall on the product, and there is not. It might be best to have your dealer send the shade to the factory for inspection/repair.

      I ordered a **************************** Early Nov 22. The delivered quality is horrible. One blind had a tear in the blind. Both blinds were replaced. The roller assembly on both replacement blinds were broken. The slider does not operate smoothly. There is a gap at the center closing area due to binding. It is now the end of Feb 23 and I am still dealing with the local dealer to try and get this poor quality product functional.. Might add that this is not worth $3400.

      Hunter Douglas does not stand behind their product. We had a roller shade for 5 years, the material started to come apart in multiple areas. I inquired with the store that I ordered from. Initially, Hunter Douglas was going to give a discount for a re-order. When I went back to order they would not honor a discount. The fabric/material I had was discontinued. Interesting that it was discontinued, have to wonder if it was due to the poor quality of the material.

      After only 14 months, our Hunter Douglas blinds started fraying. I went back to the local distributor, Paper Doll in *********, ********** and they said that the line had been discontinued for quality reasons. I selected a replacement blind in another color which does not match the color of our other blinds and Paper Doll told me that Hunter Douglas would not guarantee the replacement if they frayed again. So much for the warranty.We have spent thousands on blinds from Hunter Douglas and I am sorry we did. I have no confidence in the product and like others who have posted here, I am very disappointed. I thought they supported their products with a lifetime guarantee, but apparently not. They also will not pay for the installation of the replacement blind.

      I have looked into your case, and I was able to find a remake for you. It looks like the shade was remade due to fraying caused by skew. When we processed the remake, we recommended that your dealer check the shades for skewing and ensure all adjustments were made to avoid damage. I would recommend talking to your dealer. The dealer will need to work with their customer support team to see if any options are available. The Hunter Douglas **************** warranty only covers the product for manufacturing defects. It doesn't cover damage caused by installation, skewing, or adjustments not being made properly. The warranty doesn't cover dealer/installation service charges.       We have owned Hunter Douglas Provenance Woven Wood blinds from Hunter Douglas since 2017 and have had nothing but issues. They have warranty, but sending them back as each failed, and they have each failed 2-3 times in the five years, leaves our kids rooms without blinds for weeks at a time, having to sleep elsewhere, or our main room with no blinds on windows as they are in for repair. Now we can not even clip the returned repaired ones and can not find help to get this done. For the money spent, this product is far from worth the price. Would not purchase these blinds.

      Hunter Douglas has poor customer service. Over $18,000 spent on shades. Roman ****** unravel, no edge binding. Have been replaced twice in 4 years. 16 motorized shades, half have had to have the motors replaced. Very nice when they operate, but usually once every 3 months one fails. 5 year warranty on the motors. Only about 1 year left. Just waiting for the other 8 to fail.

I found your order, and it looks like your shades have the most up-to-date motors/firmware, so I am unsure what motor issues you've been having. I found a few cases about the fabric on the rolling Vignette shades. It looks like the dealer has an installer coming on-site. Have the installer check for skewing. That usually is what causes damage to the fabric. Please continue to work with your dealer for assistance.

      Count me in with those posting that this company does not stand by their "lifetime warranty". We had cordless honeycomb shades for a bunch of years when the internal mechanism failed. The original company that sold them went out of business and HD insisted we find a local dealer to work this through. That local dealer ended up charging us $85 to ship the faulty blind back to HD. They couldn't repair it, so they had to replace it, but they didn't have the original colort so I had to pick something different (and then replace the other two working shades in the room so it wouldn't look stupid.) So they ship those out and we install them and six weeks in, it busted again. We said the heck with it; I ran out to ****************** and bought some velcro to tie it up myself. Fast forward a year: we totally re-did our kitchen so about 10 days ago I needed to order replacement brackets and was told they would be shipping out "after Thanksgiving". well, it's been more than a week and I called and get this -- just for some stiking brackets (they're not even on backorder) -- they're not going out until December 9! I guess that's "after Thanksgiving." My contractor wants to finish the job and I want to have my windows covered. Not going to happen for two more weeks. Hunter Douglas, NEVER AGAIN.
