I am rejecting this response because:

I have looked at my reviews on your website and the fake review from a non-patient that gave me 1 star with a bad review is still listed. The lack of quality control on this website borders on incompetence and malpractice. If the review is not removed immediately I have no recourse to pursue except for legal action against your company. Your company is doing a huge disservice to competent and caring healthcare professionals.

      Sincerely,

This website has outdated information and is postsing my personal phone number on a business site. Ideally, I would like the listing removed. At a minimum, I want my phone number removed. No, it is not my responsiblity to sign onto your website and change information. The information was originally scraped from the *** but the *** was updated and the current phone number is incorrect and displaying my personal line which is not HIPAA compliant or appropriate for persons to contact who may be in distress. If a company is going to scrape information without regard for providers or the welfare of persons stumbling onto this informaiton then please take on a modicum of responsibliity and scrape it more regularly. Summary: remove listing or update inaccurate and potentially harmful information.********************************************************************

      Hello,

The phone information has been updated and is displaying on Healthgrades.com.

The address and phone data that we were previously displaying was obtained from CMS as a publicly available data source.  Specifically, the data comes from the  NPI system (National Plan & Provider Enumerator System) which became mandatory for providers in 2008.  We urge you to contact NPI *************) and update this information at the source.  Failure to do so will result in this inaccurate data coming back to HealthGrades on a future data load. Also, NPI disseminates to many other companies besides HealthGrades.

Healthgrades provides information on healthcare providers as a free service to consumers, patients, and other healthcare professionals. In its provision of this service, Healthgrades aggregates information related to provider practices from publicly available sources. While we collect information that is in the public domain for licensed healthcare providers, many elect to manage their own profiles and update them with their current information. Because you are a practicing provider, and the published information regarding your practice is publicly available and of interest to the general public, Healthgrades will continue to publish this information on our website.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT: As I noted that the *** was not the issue in my original complaint, the writer decided to refer me back to the **** Please note that the *** is also updated and not the issue. These changes were made years ago and the failure to update this information is an ethical problem at best and a potential life-threatening hazard if a sucidal client is misdirected when reaching out for help. As i stated in my original complaint, if the intention of these websites is to help the public it needs to be done more responsibly. As I see this complaint echoed by other practitioners against multiple websites with these bot-scraping sites I urge you to do better.

There are 3 misleading reviews from 2 patients in my Healthgrades reviews. I pointed them out to Healthgrades via their online process but they failed to respond. I then asked again with a request and documentation sent via **** in June of 2023 but that was also ignored.See the attached letter I sent them last year. In summary, one disgruntled patient ("Kayer") submitted 2 separate negative reviews, and ***************************** gave me only one star even though her glowing comments indicate she has been very happy with **** want Healthgrades to remove the negative reviews submitted by "Kayer" who unfairly submitted multiple reviews, and check with ***************************** to see if she meant to give me a higher star rating.I waited a year to submit this complaint to give Healthgrades adequate time to address my concerns, which they have not done.

My name is ************************* and Healthgrades has created a profile about me that has the following errors: 1) it lists me as working with the wrong agency, address, and phone number, and 2) it lists has the wrong credential of LICDC, which involves a drug and alcohol license, whereas I practice under LPCC-S, which is a counseling license. The second issue is especially problematic since one cannot do mental health counseling with an LICDC license. I have contacted ********************** several times, and the organization has refused to change this information, and instead has demanded that I claim the profile and change it myself. However, I think I am appropriate in requesting that they remove or change my profile, since I have no desire to be a part of Healthgrades. In addition, there is a false one-star review that was left on the website dated 2/28/24, which has incorrect information insofar as I was not working at the practice listed at that point in time. In addition, the information contained in the profile is incorrect insofar as the content of the review was not created by an actual client. Further, it tells prospective patients to watch EMDR bilateral videos on ******** which is contraindicated with EMDR, since exposure to bilateral beats can cause and epileptic seizure in people with epilepsy and can cause worsening depression and suicidal ideation without a trained therapist.I would like the following: 1) remove the profile or correct the errors, and 2) remove the false review and 1 star.

Healthgrades has confirmed the review (comment/opinion) (and corresponding star rating) in question meets Healthgrades criteria for display. The review submissions at healthgrades.com represent the individual opinion of patients and are aggregated for the benefit of consumers.

An anonymous individual recently posted a negative review about my service, the first time anyone has done so. The reviewer claimed to be a mental health professional, accusing me of being "unprofessional on many levels" & stated that I do "not know what I am doing", all without citing examples of said unprofessional behavior, outside of ***** comments that illustrated a personal dislike towards me, further undermining their dubious claim that they are a behavioral health professional; a real BH professional would make a complaint to my licensing board, rather than post a negative review on a review website. Such a review is slanderous/libelous, as the person isn't giving a review of my services so much as the reviewer is giving a review of their personal feelings towards me. I am a behavioral health consultant & do not meet with patients on an ongoing basis. Clearly, the reviewer did not agree with my consultation, which is fair enough, but I have NEVER been disrespectful or unprofessional with my patients; furthermore, I graduated summa c** laude, phi beta kappa from ******* undergrad & with a 3.9 from grad school and have been in supervisory roles for over eight years, so I must know a little something about my profession. I attempted to reach out to Healthgrades to address the issue, but just trying to find a number or an email to reach a point of contact was impossible to find, forcing me to create a professional account with them in order to report my concerns about the review. Once my account was setup, I flagged the ************* them a complaint regarding the libelous nature of the review; the review disappeared for a few days & today I found out that it has reappeared, with no response or reply as to what they did or how they came to their decision to repost the advertisement. I read that part of Healthgrades's policy for reviews is that they will not post reviews that are libelous; based on the feedback I received from a legal consultant, it is.

I reached out to Healthgrades a few months ago about a review from someone who is not a patient of mine. I never found this persons name in our office records or appointment book. Ive never heard from Healthgrades. I reached out again and the website always says contact form cant be submitted. There is no way to reach anyone at healthgrades in a timely manner. This is a false review that doesnt apply to me as a provider or my practice and the level of care I deliver and should be removed.

      Hello,

Healthgrades has confirmed the review in question (and corresponding star rating) meets Healthgrades criteria for display. Accordingly, our business rules prohibit us from removing the remaining reviews (comments/opinions) from our site

You have also inquired regarding the veracity of the patient reviews relied upon by Healthgrades.  We inform the user that by completing the review they are acknowledging they or a family member have received treatment from the provider. In addition, Healthgrades currently sends the user an email requiring the user to return to the website to validate and publish their ratings.  Healthgrades relies on the veracity of the persons completing the review.

Healthgrades is a consumer site, our definition of Patient for Reviews, a consumer becomes a patient at the moment they attempt to make an appointment with the provider, succeed or fail.

Patients participation in the reviews are strictly confidential.  Please note that  the display name and location associated with the reviewer is an optional field or may be a pseudonym and may not necessarily correspond to the actual patient or location from which the comment was submitted.

      Thank you,

      Healthgrades

I was researching physicians in my area and find the health grades data to be faulty. Specifically, I was looking at Dr. ************************* in ****** and healthgrades reflects a 2.9 star rating based on 46 ratings. However, when I read the specific reviews, this data is not accurate. I cannot access 46 reviews, and of the ones I can access there seem to be more 4 and 5 star ratings and reviews than 1 star reviews. This is misleading information for the public.

      Hello,

We offer two ways for our valued patients to share their thoughts about their provider's care. The first option is a review, which involves completing a multiple-choice survey that contributes to the overall "would you recommend" star rating. Patients also have the opportunity to share an optional comment along with their review. The second option is a rating, where patients can simply complete the survey to calculate a star rating without providing a comment.

It's important to note that only reviews, which include optional comments, are made visible on our website.

We inform the user that by completing the review they are acknowledging that they, or a family member, has visited or attempted to visit the provider. After a user submits a review, ********************** sends an email requiring them to return to the website to validate and publish their ratings. Healthgrades relies on the veracity of the patients completing the reviews.

      Thank you,

      Healthgrades
