I have reached out to Healthgrades multiple times with no response regarding two reviews that are under my profile. I have alerted them that the information is in violation of Healthgrades policies. The review goes against Healthgrades User Generated Content Policy in that it is unproductive; the review contains libelous information, and uses quotes allegedly from me that have no context and are misleading. The review uses terms about me that are defamatory. These terms are personal attacks, and are unnecessarily damaging and inflammatory. I don't understand how these reviews met criteria for publishing. The two reviews are suspiciously similar; using similar language/terms and I believe were posted around the same time; but have different dates listed on the comments that are 2 years apart. These reviews do not reflect who I am nor how I practice. I am requesting that Healthgrades removes these reviews from my profile and disables the rating/review function as they have for others. Additionally, the site lists my credentials incorrectly which further supports my request to disable comments and reviews as potential reviews could attack these incorrect credentialsBusiness Response

Yesterday while searching online, I ran across my Health grades profile (*************************************) and was shocked to see the rating that I have listed as well as review. These are evidently false reviews and ratings aimed at smearing and defaming my name and character. I have tried to reach out to health grades on multiple occasions but have not received any response. The review makes no sense and is not from a patient that I have ever seen, as I would never ethically, professionally, or respectfully as a physician do the things this individual commented. I want this written review to be removed as there about 3-5 providers within my geographical area that have my same name and it seems that this could also be due to these patients not being able to recognize the difference between provider names as I have a middle initial (C.) which is not depicted on healthgrades. It is unacceptable for healthgrades to allow individuals to randomly post these comments without a valid verification process to assess and confirm whether they belong to one's practice or not. I also want to have the previous negative star rating reviews removed or be provided with information about the individuals who submitted these to corroborate if they are indeed my patients as this clearly affects my person and profession as a physician and is clearly slander/defamation.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I accept the removal of the review, but the detrimental star rating that came with the review is still listed and has caused an overall impact on my rating. I would like for this review and rating to be removed all-together. If you are only removing the review and leaving the negatively impacting star rating, then the business is accepting part of the false claims that this individual made against me. I would like to seek removal of the totality of the review and not just the aspect of the review itself.

Healthgrades has admitted that the comment posted was in direct violation of their guidelines, yet after I denied their resolution while accepting the removal of their comment because it is tied to the star rating, they have chosen to re-upload the review which goes against their companies guidelines. Additionally, as proof that I sent, they do not show any middle name initials for the 4 different practicing providers with my same name (*****************************) even though I have a middle name (*******). This shows that they have not taken the time to follow up and verify wether this is an actual patient that has been seen by me. They are leaving the review based on their experience when the review makes no logical chronological sense, as how are they hanging up the phone and then advising me that they will reach out to my supervisor. This is a fake review aimed and damaging/tarnishing my reputation or was directed at another colleague by the same name. Health grades is complicit in this defamatory action and going against their own guidelines by re-uploading the review after they had initially removed it. The negative star rating is linked to the review, and if this is not a patient of mine and they do not provide a way to corroborate this, then how can they adamantly take a one-sided stance without careful scrutinization or care for how they are allowing slanderous and defamatory comments and rankings to be posted on a physicians profile, which directly affects my professional integrity and character in many aspects associated within the medical field.
Regardless of my complaint to the BBB, healthgrades states on their website that they will uphold the following:

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.They are showing that they do not go by their guidelines and make arbitrary decisions that jeopardize and defame physicians without care. I will seek legal action should this review not be removed as I have all the evidence needed to show how health grades has decided to manage this situation and go against their stipulated guidelines. As mentioned earlier in my response, I accepted the removal of the review but requested the removal of the star rating as this is not my patient. Yet, health grades does not want to verify my claim and in reprisal to my response, they have gone against their own guidelines.

On April 15, 2024 it was brought to my attention that I received a review on the HealthGrades website dated August 20, 2023. I have not been in direct practice with clients and have not provided direct client care or therapy since 2019. I am currently in a management role and suspect that this comment was made by a disgruntled employee or was simply made under the incorrect provider. I attempted to let HealthGrades know this on 4/15/24 and have received no response. Hello, my name is ***************************,My colleague recently notified me of two reviews on Healthgrades that are not only false accusations, but also defamation of character. I was reading the policies on health grade and they are supposed to review things like this before allowing them to post on their website. If you need the exact reviews, I am more than willing to send you screenshots of them but if you go under Healthgrades and type in my name, one review is from January 2024 and the other review was from August 2023. Both of them appear to be people who know each other, who are posting items that attack me personally as a human and have nothing to do with my medical knowledge or me as a physician. I have already sent two emails to Healthgrades for them to contact me and to remove these two reviews from their website, however they have yet to respond and it has been a few days now. I am not looking to take any legal action. All I want is for them to do their due diligence and remove these two reviews from their website. In addition, there are other medical review websites that have taken these reviews from them and posted it on their sites as well. Like I said , I thought that they would be better about reviewing things like this before allowing them to post but obviously they are not. All Im asking is for a simple resolution which is for them to take down those two reviews that attack me on a personal level and have nothing to do with me as a provider or my medical care. I am rejecting this response because: Speaking with ********************* this is an old comment from several year ago that was reposted. She has not sent any of her patients to a nursing facility to quote die from heart failure. We also find it strange that this is the first post that has been listed on here in multiple years. Looking at the website since 2021 even though she has been practicing this entire time. We do not believe this is valid or accurate information. We request the entire encounter be removed. On top of this ********** has tried to comment on this post multiple times to defend herself with no success.

Ironically my workplace phone is published across their platform and incorrectly at that. My work center phone number is ************. They have this number published under healthcare workers/providers that belong to the **************** ********************** This number is and has been affiliated with the ****************************************. Consequently I receive numerous erroneous phone calls. I simply wanted to request that this is corrected, however I cannot find an avenue to do so.Business Response
