I get Kaiser through my work for which they have increased rates 22% this year. You think this would amount to some marked improvement in the quality of care and what they cover but sad to say this isn't the case. Not only do they refuse to cover my ADHD meds on my plan, they are incredibly invasive in that they have now done medication audits twice on me in two consecutive months when I attempt to get my meds filled outside of a Kaiser pharmacy (if Kaiser filled my medication, it would cost me nearly $200 a bottle whereas other pharmacies with a good Rx card would cost me $80 or less). Not only this but I have also gone to a Kaiser clinic to seek diagnosis/treatment for frequent headaches that I thought might be stress related, was told they don't know what the cause was, and was immediately referred for an MRI and to an ENT. While I appreciate that the medical professional was being thorough in these referrals, whether or not they are covered by my plan was not even discussed. After all, if they won't cover my ADHD medication, how can I trust they would cover something as extensive as an MRI?

0 stars even though im forced to select atleast 1 star.. I tried to schedule a mental health appointment and was told they don't schedule and to call another number which I called who said they are in ********** and they ALSO don't schedule, but will route my call to a kaiser referral service and when I spoke to them they said they'll email a list of providers possibly taking new patients in my location of ******** and it will take up to two weeks for me to receive an email with said list of providers. So Im left without an appointment and wont be able to get one for probably atleast 3 week or more. This insurance company is ********. Imagine having health insurance calling to simply make an appointment and get rerouted all over the state of Colorado and can't even get an appointment. So ridiculous.

Terrible experience all around with Kaiser. Was left with an outstanding bill that I couldn't pay for using the portal since my account had closed and when I tried to pay using the guest pay option the system either denied me or would not continue past the credit card payment screen. After spending an hour unsuccessfully trying to contact an actual human representative I used the automated bill pay phone number which was a terrible experience. Not user friendly whatsoever which concerns me about accessibility for elder patients. I am a 30 year-old who grew up using technology and Kaiser seemingly just has terrible programmers creating their website and app. I'll never choose Kaiser as my insurer again if I can help it.

Kaiser is so awful. I had a telehealth appointment about an existing issue that has worsened. They said I needed to be seen today or tomorrow latest so she had someone call me to schedule the urgent appointment. Earliest they had is 2 weeks away. My only option is urgent care which is why Im in this place to begin with. They did not do the tests they were supposed to. I cant wait to switch insurance. Even their annual physical was a waste of time. They listened to my heart and took my *** NOTHING else.

I was happy that finally someone was paying attention to my conditions. However, I've had bad pain in my neck for a good 20 years. Everything they tried didn't work. Narcotics, opiods, even injections into my neck. Nothing worked. At the last appointment, my doctor looked at me and said that it was psychological. Pissed!

I have been thoroughly disappointed in Kaisers care- as an anesthesiologist interacting w their perioperative environment I can say they are lackluster at best w navigating multimodal pain control, and considering refractory nausea and vomiting after surgery as a norm is just incorrect. If I could leave a half a star review I would.

I had no issues with them until recently. I need a hysterectomy for endometriosis which is chronic but according to whoever it is sitting behind a desk and has no medical knowledge I haven't treated my chronic illness enough yet to have the problem just removed from my body. Currently have an appeal going but I have no idea what to expect. Insurance does not know more than me or my doctor about my health needs and should not be able to deny someone care because they feel like it. Power trip

The mental health team has a lack of knowledge and care with patients. I saw a doctor who made false statements in my notes because I told him I disagreed with his diagnosis. I was having all signs and symptoms of post partum depression and he diagnosed me bipolar.. womens health is not a top priority in our current educational system. I argued his diagnosis and advocated for myself. When I did this, he added in his notes that I overdosed on my medication which is a complete lie. Ive never overdosed or had drug use problems. These people have too much power over our health! He went on a power trip because I told him I believe I had ppd (which I had with my first baby). He pushed and pushed me to take an antipsychotic.. he then put in his notes to not prescribe my antidepressant to me- escitalopram. When I say this doctor is dangerous, I mean it. Because of his notes no other doctor was willing to listen to me. I would run as far as you can from Kaiser and their egotistical doctors who dont have your best interest at mind.

Have had Kaiser for 35 years and since 2022 if you get a visit more than 15 minutes long it is a miracle. The care is so bad and so depersonalized these days it has been worth kore to our family to go out of network than get the subpar care we have received our last 3 visits. It is so sad that the administration processes and bars have washed out any levels of competence and care I think the staff may hold.
