I have had Kaiser for eight years now and I always gave them high marks, but I am now really sick for the very first time and no one here could care less. My doctor ****** seem the least bit interested in diagnosing and treating my condition and other departments that provide specialized services have long wait times and are completely unsympathetic in getting me the testing and treatment that I need. I will be changing to another provider next year.

Poor customer service. It wasnt great in ********** but it is awful in Colorado. I left six months go and I cant see my medical record . I left ********** 2 years ago and guess what I cant see my past medical record. I email and get a random email response, sorry for what is happening, sorry call ** we cant help **. It is simple I should be able to see my past medical record.

We have received the member complaint. A case has been set up and assigned to a Case Manager for response. We will respond directly to the member.  Thank you!

Well their solution was to close my ********** account access, I can see my previous test and exam. It is an exercise of futility with them. I paid for those services, I should be able to see my test results. They are the worst.

Just.... not great. I didn't find any of the physicians to be helpful or kind. They were all very impatient, and seemed very annoyed with answering my questions. Everyone should have a right to clarity in their healthcare options, but Kaiser's doctors seem more interested in getting you out of the room. Maybe they're overwhelmed, over-worked, and over-booked. No matter what the reason is, the outcome is that you do not matter to them. It's very frustrating that you can ONLY see Kaiser providers. If you have the option, pick a different insurance carrier.

Horrible people, horrible company! My daughter was sexually assaulted by a neighborhood punk and the sheriff's department/hospital they took ** too told ** to do a follow up pregnancy test in a few weeks. We called to make an appointment and after explaining the situation and telling this idiot nurse that the police are already involved, we have a case number and just need an appointment for the test, the dumb a** made a huge drama filled deal out of it (which my daughter has already been through once) and said she was calling CPS...etc, etc. Now my child is in her bedroom crying her eyes out thinking she may be put in a ****** home because she was raped by a teenage neighbor, as she overheard this on the phone. These unprofessional idiots should be closed down before they do more harm to innocent people!

My family has been with Kaiser since ****. It was ***** from the start a misdiagnosis on my dads diabetes and four hospital stay with 700 plus blood sugars. An overdose prescription of antibiotics for me as a kid left me unable to take penicillin based drugs. Them tanking my moms immune system. To a misdiagnosis on my dads dementia and having him labeled non compliant. And the latest my moms heart attack they didnt take seriously cause the doctor had no clue she had been admitted. They have the occasional good doctor but are understaffed, condescending, and just plain ignorant. Thirty three years and I have seen more mistakes than most will see in a community of doctors. Some of their doctors border on incompetence. I am angry and they deserve to be shut down.

The place is the worst health care I have ever had to deal with. Not only did they really blotch both my surgies on my feet. There customer service sucks! They always try to give me more prescription than I need and they are really generous with the pain pills it's like they want you to get addicted so you give them more money. I can not express enough how much I hate them!

While I do not have comparison experience with other major providers like United or Centura, I do know that Kaiser is terrible, and became that way the moment that they announced new leadership, some time around 2020. Everything about the way that it works now is designed to keep patients uninformed, unable to get care, charged heavily without explanation, and hastily prescribed incorrect dangerous drugs for wrong diagnoses because appointments are 4 minutes long. That's if you do manage to get an appointment, as you'll be waiting for months to get one-- and that's after diabolically long phone hold times, uniformly unhelpful online chat "clinicians" (more accurately people hired off the street who will literally say things like "I don't know") and one of the most poorly operating websites you could think of. It's abundantly clear that doctors are paid entirely by commission on number of pharmaceutical sales, like car dealers. If these people went out of business today and shut all their clinics, guess what would change for the level of care patients are currently getting? Absolutely nothing. No difference.

Kaiser is a good , inexpensive health insurance for young people who are in good health and only need general health care and occasional need to see a doctor. I have found the practitioners who work for Kaiser to overall be professional and compassionate. This is the reason for a 2 star review. HOWEVER, if you are an older patient who has no other option in their employers health insurance, not the best choice. It can be very, very difficult to get an appointment for non-emergency care. I am having chronic back pain, Kaiser recommended PT and the closest appointment is 3 weeks out! What do I do in the meantime. I have 3 years to pick a ******** choice. It will not be Kaiser. Good employees, lousy corporation making money off of peoples suffering.

Please avoid Kaiser. They do not care about you. They care about money, period. You will only be a number. They have refused myself and my family reasonable mental health help. My husband went in with a back injury they refused to provide pain medication for and he's now in so much pain it's turning into a medical emergency and will likely need surgery. We've been told that he likely would not be in this situation if he'd been giving paid medication so that the injury didn't get irritated more. If you have been under any care with another doctor and it uses a non prescription method of treatment, that treatment will now be their excuse for everything that is wrong with you and they will refuse to look into anything else no matter what the symptoms are. Any type of treatment that isn't a normal doctor visit is a min 6 month wait, even if considered something that could become life threatening. In our case it was seizures. We had to start refusing all yearly exams as though they are supposed to be free, we would get billed every time with a reasoning that we discussed something that wasn't included in the exam. Note, i was brought up at the time that we could not discuss or we would be charged. I thankfully get away from this horrible company on Jan 1st and hope to be able to start getting some real medical treatment from doctors and a facility that actually cares. They have basically been completely cool with putting our health in jeopardy, even if it could cause over all long term harm. Apparently actually helping and treating patients doesn't bring them enough money.

I cannot schedule an appointment for a serious chest problem except for 50 mi away from me or a week and a half out. This is the fourth time that I've tried to schedule an appointment this year and have not. I've paid over $6,000 to have this insurance this year alone. I will not be signing up next year.
