I am a disabled army veteran.I contacted ******* ******** atMoving Solutions to move my belongings onSeptember 2, 2025. I gave them a deposit check of $1374.30 I want to move from ************ ********* to ******** ********. Back in September 2024, I broke my hip and have had complications with MRSA for the past several months. I thought that I would be able to move on September 2, 2025 as things developed with my hip, Ifound out that my recovery was going to take longer and I had no idea when I would be moving. I contacted ******* at Moving Solutions and asked for a refund of my deposit. I would even discuss a partial refund. Ive sent at least six emails to ***************************** and two phone calls to their customer service. **************** said to use their email system and there has been no reply to any of my emails for the past three weeks. On March 6th I signed a contracts bd paid a deposit for the Company to deliver my household goods to ******** from *******. About 24 hours after I paid the deposit, I cancelled the move that was scheduled for April 12th. The contract stated that as long as I cancelled outside of the 7 day window, I would be reimbursed 100%. Ive never received a refund and Ive been ignored by the company through multiple attempts. On February 5, 2025, the driver charged me an additional $150 for long hail even though the distance from the truck to my residence was less than 100 feet, which should be free according to the contract. The driver threatened to drive away with my items if I didnt make the arbitrarily decided fees. After the I made the payment, the driver then told me his helper was unavailable and asked me to move the items from his truck to my house, which is his responsibility under the contract.Business Response

This is a 2nd complaint from the same person, per the bbb rules it should not be allowed.
you are disputing a $150 charge and requesting $2450 back. Does that seem reasonable to you?
if The truck had parking restrictions, or no open spaces, or a not ground level unit, or any number of reasons, and I am sure one Is applicable. No one has ever complained about a long carry charge, because they understand the crew was doing work for them and the money goes to the crew.

Moving Solutions out of Nashville Tenn moved me and my 84 year old mom ! They have me a quote 3600 to move us from ****** La to ************* and they charged is over ****** ! They took a check for the deposit and we got to our destination they would not take a check or a debit card and they would not give us put things until my son paid them with his Apple Pay Cash and *************** cash me and my 84 year old Mom and my 2 fur babies rode all day trying to get a bank to help us but no one could because my mom has used ********** for 30 years and they don't have a branch in ******* ! The weather was very cold and we had no furniture in our condo ! My Dad passed away the Morning the movers were almost to our place I tried to reschedule the move and I was told I could lot charge it or I would still be charged ! This is the worst moving company I have used to move me and they don't care about ur things just their money ! The owner of the company was very abusive and rude to me on the phone I feel like I need to sue them because they charged us $6000 more than the quote they gave me ! They left a lot of my art and pics in my storage unit the manager Text me the pics and I had to go get them myself load them up in my SUV and my 84 year old mom was so upset ! On 9/18/24, I spoke with *** **** of Moving Solutions and I made a reservation (move #*******) for the company to move me in November,which required a $1384.00 deposit, which was refundable. On 10/11/24 @ 11:20a PT, I called customer service department (spoke with ******) & canceled my move with them. She transferred me to ***, who completed the refund and said it would be processed the following Monday (10/14). Since then, I have reached out to the company at least 7 times and have been advised that I should have had my refund by ****** services have been rendered and they have now had my money for more than a month. I don't accept their response of "is that what the policy says about email." I don't see how their response has anything to do with the fact that it was confirmed that my move was canceled with them on 10/11/24 through their customer service, as well as the *** they had me communicate with.
I have an email chain with them showing that I should have received my refund (stated by them) and it wasn't understood why it was taking so long. As it turns out, they never processed it at all. They kept the $1384.00 deposit I paid on 9/19/24, even after my cancelation was confirmed and no services were rendered. They are a scam and not a reliable, responsible business, conducting business in a professional and ethical manner.Business Response

Moving Solutions picked up my household items on Aug 30th 2024. The driver told me I would see him in ******* in 2-3 days. Today is Sept 12. I still don't have my stuff. Every day, the driver and their customer service *** lie to me with false dates and times for delivery. I have every text message from Sept 3rd on. I am rejecting this response because: I had multiple VERBAL communications with the supposed driver (who was not the driver) lying to me every single day that he was arriving the next day. I have every single text. A delivery was finally made yesterday. They held my stuff hostage in the truck until I paid in full plus a bogus add on for "long haul" (it was 45 steps). I paid in full only to find all of my clothes, important files (file cabinet) a ladder, vacuum, and 6 or 7 boxes still missing. I called Joseph Reffegee (the "driver") who checked his storage locker and said he had the stuff. I asked him to send me photos and he said he would. He has since ghosted me. Probably because this fugazi company and their deceitful practices are planning an extortion move. So, I have paid in full plus more. The only resolution is to have my stuff at my home within 36 hours. Not the 10 days that Joseph Reffegee suggested.

As you will see by the attachments. The reply by the business that they don't have my things is a total lie.
I am in communication with their designated driver who has sent me these photos and is currently, according to him, in his possession.
He explained to me that Moving Solutions uses these tactics with many of their customers as an extortion attempt to get more money as they hold your things hostage.
The photos below show my actual things in their possession as well as snips of multiple texts (I have many many, in writing messages) showing that they indeed lied about having delivered all of my possessions.
These false statements and manipulation of information seems to be common practice as I was lied to by them and Coastal Movi g Services from day 1.
The day they delivered half of my things, I was told that they would not unload the truck nor show me inside unless I signed the bill of lading and paid in fu for the delivery. It wasn't until after the fact that I discovered many items missing. I immediately contacted Moving Solutions and was told by Ashley that they were not in possession of any of my items and that I should file an insurance claim at $.60/lb for whatever was missing.
We all know that this scam of an insurance policy is designed to allow moving companies to steal belongings, sell them off, and pay you a tiny fraction of the value; not to mention the sentimental value of your items. Now Moving Solutions will claim that I chose a budget package for my move but I assure you that I was not made aware that there were any other options.
The bottom line is that Moving Solutions is a sham. They lie, steal from and manipulate their customers who are putting their personal belongings in their trust. This company needs to be shut down, investigated and prosecuted for these practices.
At this point, the only recompence acceptable is a FULL refund of the more than $5,000 that i have paid to date and The 100% delivery of all of my items.
I have paid
$950 to Coastal Moving Services
$1336 at pick up and
$1336 at deliver
$400 for "long haul charge"
And now
$658 to Joseph Refegee as partial payment for return of the rest of my personal belongings. (I'm sure that this money has gone to Moving Solutions as part of their scam.
Total
$4,680 plus the $1100 I am now expected to pay when and if I ever see my things again.
That will be a total out lay of $5780
