Made an on phone check deposit for a move on August 14 to DC Z logistics in the amount of $2500. Through moving solutions representative **** was verbally guaranteed return of move was not completed. Was informed by phone needed to send paperwork and take steps to get refund. Was told they would send me email of instructions. Never received emails and phone calls have been unanswered and actually hung up on twice when inquiring after move was canceled August 23. DC representative claimed that I needed to speak to a different employee. There were different rules about returning deposit money. I was never forwarded any information on how to obtain a refund that I had paid to you the fair amount of time seven days after I had made the deposit and 10 days before the move as was instructed verbally by your representative I have a requested return via email which was not responded to as well. Why is it so hard to just refund the $2500 deposit unless youre trying to scam people and thats what I feel youre trying to do.

In May 2024, we contacted Moving Solutions to move us from northern CA to eastern **. Spoke with ***************** and he and I went through our home, room by room, and included 80 boxes off site. He determined that they could move everything in 905 cubic feet for $5,000; we paid a deposit of $1,930. Turns out, 905 cubic feet was a HUGE underestimate and I feel he knew this. They then contracted with a horrible company, Loadrans LLC, in ********** to load and move our goods. After reading Loadrans' reviews, we contacted Moving Solutions, begging them to find a more reputable company to move our stuff; they said they only contract with trusted businesses. I'm currently filing a claim with Loadrans. Ultimately, we ended up paying an additional $2,000 to rent a 26-foot U-Haul and move the rest of our goods; it was FULL. There is no way the items we went over would have EVER fit in 905 cubic feet. At one point early on, I spoke to *** and he, for an additional $100, rewrote the estimate, having the movers pack up our kitchen goods. However, he never sent THAT estimate to ********; they had no idea they were to pack up our kitchen goods. The people at Moving Solutions were charming while they were 'selling' their services and responsive up until the day we could change our minds and get our deposit back. After that date, they would not return our calls, texts or emails. Reading the reviews on Moving Solutions, it appears this is how they do business - misleading people by underestimating the amount of cubic feet really needed and taking their money. People need to know how Moving Solutions does business so they don't fall for their sales pitch. It cost us $4,957, of which Moving Solutions got $1,930 and Loadrans got the rest, plus an additional $400 for 'bulky' items. Ultimately, they moved 15 pieces of furniture and 5 boxes. WE moved twice the furniture and 80+ boxes. Again, there is NO WAY the 905 cubic feet estimate was even close. They should reimburse our U-Haul expense.Business Response

This is a binding price based on the inventory you provided, and services requested in the estimate. The only way this price will change is if you add any additional services or inventory items to your move. Based on your list we have you estimated at 905 cf: cubic feet. If at any time you require an additional space reservation or should your list of items take up more space, your binding rate shall remain the same as stated in your contract. Per your contract, your binding rate per cubic foot is $6.75:
Additional services would be long carry over 100 ft from the truck to your door, flights of stairs over 12 steps on the exterior of your home, elevator services or packing. YOU are responsible to have all your boxes and fragile items packed, (I.E. glass tabletops, curio cabinets, TVs Etc.) Unless specifically noted on your electronically signed order. We do offer ala Cart packing if you need, for an additional cost. Mattresses must be wrapped, and covers can be provided.
Your arrival date is a 2-day window, we will confirm which day the pick-up will be up to 3 days prior to your first day or as late as the evening before your last day prior to the scheduled arrival date, along with a 4-hour estimated time of arrival (these are estimates and can change based on shippers before or after you on the route. We reserve the right for the 2 day window to be pushed up to 48 hours on either side for unforeseen circumstances, instances where this is needed is well under 1% of our total moves.) Your move date is flexible however, and can be changed but changes are based on our availability and can incur additional charges or discount reductions. Please let us know of any date changes with as much advanced notice as possible to make sure we can accommodate you.
Your delivery time frame is a window based on your first available delivery date and your destination, which is your F.A.D. Your F.A.D. is NOT your delivery date, it is the first date of your delivery window. If your household goods are being stored in our facility. Your FAD window will be applicable once you notify and confirm with the company that you are available to receive delivery. At that point we will schedule your items to be picked up from storage and once loaded your delivery window will begin.
Expedited Delivery If at any time should you be interested in receiving an expedited delivery, we offer this option at a flat rate per cubic foot. Should you select this option, your delivery window will be decreased by 50%. For example, if your delivery window was 7-14 days your expedited delivery window would now be 3 -7 days. This option can be added at any time prior to pick-up or delivery if storage services are included.
REMINDERS Due to the delivery time frames, we suggest that you do not ship any important documentation such as: passports, birth certificates, social security cards and any other personal identification. We also recommend that you do not pack any medications or medical equipment that will be needed during the time of transit. We also encourage that you do not transport any business or professional necessities. This includes but is not limited to, small electronic equipment, such as ipads, laptops, and computers that you would need immediate access to throughout the duration of pickup and delivery. It is strongly recommended to not schedule house closings the day after the last day of your arrival window because it is for arrival not job completion, leaving an extra day for unforeseen circumstances is always a best practice.
$1929.88 - Credit card is only accepted for deposits in most instances and incurs a fee, personal checks can be used on pick up when deliveries are scheduled to be longer than 3 business days, otherwise pick up and delivery must be a certified form of payment for direct deliveries. Deposits are nonrefundable for moves canceled on pickup day, 72 hours after signing the **** or within 7 business days of the first scheduled pickup day whichever comes first.

I am rejecting this response because:Their response is a canned version of their 'binding moving estimate'; they can't even be bothered to address the blatant underestimate quote we were given. We had a 1335 square foot home filled with furniture and personal belongings, plus boxes in storage. The estimate quoted for 905 cubic feet was a joke. Unfortunately, we had no idea how ludicrous that was until the movers came and showed us exactly what 905 cubic feet is. The movers were shaking their heads, knowing all our stuff wouldn't fit, even before we got to the three bedrooms. BUT, per Moving Solutions (or DCZ Logistics ***** whatever their business is called) contract if we wanted to have ALL our belongings packed and moved, we would have needed to come up with an additional $11,000+ ($6.75/cubic foot for 1700 cubic feet) because the 26-foot U-Haul we were forced to rent to get all of our belongings out of the house was full. They are purposely misleading consumers by underestimating the cubic feet needed so people will sign the contract and pay the deposit. THEN, when the movers show up, the consumer has no choice but to pay the additional amount ($6.75 per cubic foot) charged to move the rest of their items, OR find another, last minute alternative; they know people need their stuff and they put them in an untenable position from the very first contact. They know their contract covers this and that consumers have no recourse, but I believe they underestimate the quote knowingly and that they are committing fraud and getting away with it; it is just not right. I'm resigned to the fact that we aren't going to get any resolution from this company, but someone needs to make them stop this fraudulent way of doing business - you only have to read their consumer reviews to know this is their normal business procedure. I wish I had done so before signing that contract but when they have two different business names, it's kind of hard to find them.

On June 25, 2024, I was contacted by a moving company, Moving Solutions, where I gave them an entire inventory list and he (***************************) quoted me $3,000 for the job and I told him that was too high. ***** asked me what would it take for me to sign with him that day. I said $2,300 and he said that he could do that and would offer me a discount. I was offered the following discounts to get it to that price. ird -$300.40 , route discount -$750.00 first contact -$350.00 , less than 700 miles -$265.00. I was told that he was not a broker and in fact this is a family owned business. I gave ***** a full inventory. list and he told me that it would only be 400 cubic square feet and he quoted me that. I paid the $1,000 deposit fee on June 25, 2024. I was told that I would have to pay half at the pick up spot and half at the delivery location.On July 2, 2024 I was scheduled to move. The movers came 3 hours later than what was told to me and once they came in they had me sign papers regarding insurance, a document acknowledging they are not fault for minor damage to wood, and began moving. AFTER they moved all my belongings into the truck they told me about extra fees and that my belongings are more than 400 cubic square feet and that I needed 200 more cubic square feet at $6 per foot. This totaled up to an extra $2,885.24 over what was quoted. I paid $650 at first and then after everything was moved into the truck I was demanded to pay $792.62 or they would not bring my stuff. I am now expected to pay a minimum of $1,442.62 for them to not withhold my stuff on July 3 or 4th as that is my alleged drop off window. I will be required to pay that plus whatever additional hidden fees there are now to obtain my belongings. I am asking for a full refund besides the $2,300 I was quoted and that ***** knew I didn't have the money to go over.Business Response

I was not able to respond in the 7 day window as my belongings had just arrived on Friday. To further my complaint, I was told my delivery window was July 3-July 4.
On July 5th I was contacted by a representative **** who told me my delivery window was actually July 3-July 17. Which put me in a bad spot as I had only packed belongings for 2 days that were essential. I proceeded to live in an apartment for 1.5 weeks without any of my belongings and I did have to buy replacement belongings to get myself through the 1.5 weeks. On Friday, July 12, I was contacted by the moving company, Moving Unlimited, and they were able to deliver my stuff.

I am rejecting this response because:I was specifically quoted ***** for my move. When asked "what can we do to get your business today" I explained to Top Moving Solutions I had ***** and the sales guy says we can do that. All he did was underquote the cubic square footage after I gave him my complete inventory list. They mentioned nothing about extra fees. It was only until the actual moving company got to my house and loaded my belongings that the hidden fees became apparent. I spent over 3 grand extra to have my belongings moved and I was put in a situation where I was under duress to sign the agreement as my stuff had already been moved and I needed to move to ** the next day. Further, I was told that my belongings would be at my new place on July 3 or 4th. It was only until July 12, 2024 that my belongings actually were delivered. Causing me to buy all necessities needed to live without any of my belongings for 2 weeks.
In essence, they under quoted me in bad faith to get my business, and once the movers did get to my house to move the belongings it was after everything had been packed in the moving vehicle that I was explained the extra fees and charges, requiring me to agree to the new terms and conditions or my belongings would not be moved. That is fraud.

This is my experience with a cross-country move from ********** to ******** using Moving Solution. Please avoid using them. They are merely a broker/middleman and take no responsibility after you sign the contract.Once you sign, a "dispatch" team arrives at your place, claiming you have too much stuff and demanding you pay double the quoted price, regardless of whether you had a virtual or in-person survey. Despite completing two surveys, I was asked to pay twice the amount on moving day. The dispatch team assigned to me was Loadrans LLC Moving. They were extremely unprofessional, constantly updating the contract, and charging additional fees throughout the day and leaving whole drawer worth kitchen stuff here and there.I opted for the full packing service, which was supposed to include all supplies, according to the Moving Solution team. However, I was charged an extra $150 for using one additional box for my clothes. After "negotiation," I ended up paying $1500 EXTRA for this move, and they demanded cash only.I could go on, but the bottom line is to avoid Moving Solution or any broker/middleman company. I reached out Moving solution six times to confirm the moving date in ******** 30 days in advance, but they just ignored my emails so far. This experience has been so stressful that I considered seeking legal help or giving up on my belongings altogether.Thanks for reading. For the past four weeks, I have repeatedly requested that the FINAL delivery to my new address be completed by July 5th, without using FAD. However, the moving company has not taken responsibility for failing to communicate this to their dispatch team, Loadran LLC.

They stole money from me and broke my stuff. They were supposed to move my furniture from *********** to 2 locations in ***********. They were also supposed to relocate furniture from the 1st destination stop to the 2nd destination stop. Their drivers arrived and tried to charge me $500 more to move my stuff. I was then told that they would only charge $110 more ($55 for a box for my tv and $65 for a mattress cover). They charged me the $110 but never provided a box for my tv or a mattress cover. The driver said I could pay by PayPal. So, I did. The company then said they didnt take accept PayPal and made me pay the entire amount in money orders. They were supposed to contact PayPal to refund the PayPal payment to me. Instead they kept the PayPal payment and the money orders. The company is no longer responding to me. They need to refund the $1102.50 PayPal payment they stole from me, refund the $110 for the false charges, and address my broken furniture. Job No: K3448379928 Order No : ****** I spoke with the agent about my move from ******* to ********, I had ten cardboard boxed and 5 bags, with one TC 65inch and one small tv 30 inch, one queen size mattress and one queen size disassembled bed. I was given a quote of 3000 by ***, told there would be no hidden fee or anything. Upon moving day, I was told to pay $**** on day of pick and #**** on day of delivery with so much arguing they lowered to $ 1700 for day of pick up and $1700 for day of delivery. I was told because my stuff was taking more space than what I had asked for when I had mentioned all the things I was moving, and it was written in the initial $3000 estimate they had given me. I was also promised to delivery within a week, which was later told won't be until ***** days, now I have moved completely. to new place without bed. Then I was called that my stuff will arrive on Wednesday, I took a early flight from different city to come to for delivery was again told stuff won't be able to be delivered on Wednesday, now again I had no bed to sleep, had to get Airbnb for a night. Upon arrival on Thursday after 2.5 weeks from pickup, my mattress was missing and it was an expensive Casper mattress, the whole reason I scheduled the movers for. ******** care was extremely rude on phone, someone named ****** told me to file a claim, I asked I still have to pay $1700 either you nullify that or get my mattress she was of no help. The mover guys were waiting and the delivery company people told me my mattress is in other truck and will be delivered later (with no time or date available) and best is to pay $1500 now and remaining 200 when delivered. So here I am again blindsided by this company, with no mattress to sleep on, and I start a new job tomorrow with all this stress from their company. The time frame of delivery was not right, I had to spent two night in Airbnb, which was extra charge on me as well, without compensation from your company. People hire movers to make move easy and not this stressful before starting a new job. All you staff is extremely RUDE, they don't communicate at the time of requirement, what is the point of me spending so many money, if this is how a costumer is treated and this company is called best company on what basis.My mattress which costed me $2000 is still no where to be found. This is *******************. I have received a few emails from the business indicating false information - essentially that I had cancelled with their representative. This was false. I expected a follow up email from their customer service but have received nothing since he apparently confused my file with someone else's.
As for the BBB emails, I was moving and it's been hectic. My apologies for not responding sooner.

I sent an email to ***, asking where my truck was. I sent another to the email address for customer service. I have many complaints about Moving Solutions LLC (US DOT No.: *******). They stole from me, lied repeatedly, and gaslighted me. The salesperson pressured me to sign the agreement and then encouraged me to choose standard valuation coverage (only allotting 60 cents per pound should damage or loss occur). I believe this was the first part of the scam in stealing my items. The original quote I signed was for $2388.00 but the actual cost was $3853.50 with no explanation of the increase. I didnt have anything more in my move so the price should not have gone up. In fact, the movers left things behind, including a $100 tower fan, and refused to come back for them. I paid for packing services yet the movers came with no supplies. When the shipment arrived to me, the boxes were so damaged that items were falling out, many broken and lost. The movers didnt take inventory of anything. I asked at least four people at Moving Solutions about this with no response. I paid the deposit via credit card (an approved method of payment on the contract). The day of my move, Moving Solutions threatened to return everything unless I wired the money directly. I had a flight the next day, so I had to do it. As I awaited my shipment, Moving Solutions continually gave false dates of arrival. When my items finally arrived, my high-priced items were missing. My 65 ******** GoTrax Scooter, and brand new $600 Dyson vacuum and more were not delivered. I can understand one thing missing but ALL of my high-priced items? I believe they were stolen as I have proof in images and video that they were part of the move during the load up and I have proof from the delivery drivers that the items were missing. When I tried to ask Moving Solutions where my items were, he became belligerent and degrading, again, documented. He refused to investigate and referred me to claims which would allot 60 cents per pound of all these valuable items. I then knew I was scammed and that this was a premeditated theft.Business Response

she signed her delivery acknowledgment and inventory stating she recieved her items. literal months later she starts repeatedly leaving complaints and making up a fiction.

I am rejecting this response because:Moving Solutions continues to lie. Their response is completely false. I've made exactly two complaints with the BBB - one for their ********* office and one for their ************* because these were the locations of my move. I will continue to complain until I'm reimbursed for the move, abysmal packing services and for the items that were missing and damaged.I signed the delivery paperwork because the Moving Solutions movers said they would not unload unless I did. As you can see from attached - THERE WAS NO INVENTORY ON THIS. So Moving Solutions can't prove that my Dyson vacuum, electric scooter, 65" TV and air bed were delivered. Thus I got in writing from the delivery team that those items were not delivered. They were lost in transit or, more likely, if you read the TRUE evidence in my complaint, they were stolen by Moving Solutions.
This company needs to stop lying and take accountability for what they have done.

I am rejecting this response because: I dont know what this response means. I signed documents because I was told I had to or the move wouldnt take place. I never signed anything that had an actual inventory of items on it. I asked four times for an inventory and was ignored by the company. I provided images and video that were sent to the pick up team proving the items that were to be moved and text messages from the delivery team proving that my 65 in *********** my brand new $600 Dyson vacuum and my ****** electric scooter were not delivered. They were lost or stolen in transition. I also provided images and video proving that the packing service I paid for was subpar. Every box was smashed. Items were falling out. Many things missing and damaged.I was forced to sign the drop-off paperwork (which, again had no inventory) or they said they wouldnt unload. I was scammed and stolen from. I just want to be reimbursed for the move, packing and the items that were missing and damaged.

I scheduled a move out of state on 4/10/2024 with a pick up date of 08/19/2024. My contract states a full refund will be given if cancelled at least 7 business days prior to the date of my scheduled pick up. I requested a cancellation/refund on 5/28/2024 - over 2 MONTHS PRIOR to my scheduled pick up date in August. I spoke with a representative of this company on 5/28/2024 and again on 5/30/2024 whom confirmed the cancellation was notated on my account and the refund was processing. As of 6/11/2024 I still had not received my refund, so I call and get transferred to a different representative who is now stating I only had 72hrs to cancel. That is NOT what my contract states in writing. This company is a scam, just honor your refund policy its simple. I asked the representative verbally on the phone AND verified the contract stated the refund policy I was told, prior to sending my deposit to avoid issues like this, its a shame I am now having to fight for my money back that should have just been refunded back per their policy. I am requesting a FULL REFUND as I am entitled to it per my contract.Business Response

Contract states: The shipper has the option to cancel services in writing to ***************************** within 72 hours from signing this Bill of Lading for a complete refund of prepaid deposits. If services are cancelled more than 72 hours after signing the shipper shall forfeit a portion of the prepaid deposits to cover the costs incurred by the carrier per the carrier's applicable tariff. The remainder of the prepaid deposits will be refunded to the shipper.Therefore, a refund is still due even after 72 hours. There is no way this company incurred almost $2000 of fees for a load that wasnt due to ship for over two months. Provide an itemized receipt of what you are charging me for out of the prepaid deposit, and refund the rest.
