  Mapquest is showing a residential address for my business that is not correct. My business is not at that location and this is not my residence, this error causes a lot of problems. My business is a mobile service and should not have a street address, it should only have city, state, zip code listed. I have attempted to resolve this issue multiple times without a response. This is my last attempt to have this simple address error corrected before I contact an attorney.   Mapquest is showing a residential address for my business that is not correct. My business is not at that location and this is not my residence, this error causes a lot of problems. My business is a mobile service and should not have a street address, it should only have city, state, zip code listed. I have attempted to resolve this issue multiple times without a response. This is my last attempt to have this simple address error corrected before I contact an attorney.   I am rejecting this response because:

  The MapQuest response is clearly not taking responsibility by stating they have no record of my business or ***, even though I provided the *** link in my original complaint and a screenshot for the record. The problem is simple, MapQuest is incorrectly showing my business located at a private residence, and this is not my place of business and not my residence, therefore it is incorrect and causes a lot of problems and confusion for myself, my customers, and the people who live at that residence. My business is strictly a mobile service with no store front and should only have city, state, zip code.

  The MapQuest team is here to help get this listing corrected as needed.

   

  You stated, MapQuest "is clearly not taking responsibility by stating they have no record of my business or ***, even though I provided the *** link in my original complaint and a screenshot for the record." But I actually stated, "The MapQuest support team does not have any record of your name, address, phone number, or business listing *** in their system." We had not received any communication from your name, address, phone number, or from the business previous to the BBB complaint. If you have a ticket number or email from the MapQuest support team, you can reply to those directly.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  What MapQuest fails to recognize or acknowledge is, it doesn't matter where they are getting their data from (in this case Yext), what does matter is MapQuest is displaying the business information incorrectly. It is MapQuest's responsibility to correct what MapQuest is displaying incorrectly, not point the finger to a 3rd party data collector known for using extortion methods. This is a very simple problem with a very simple solution, MapQuest should remove the street address because it is a mobile service (not a brick & mortar store front) and displaying an incorrect residential address. If you read the BBB complaints you can clearly see this is a very common problem, and its on the record that MapQuest has corrected this same problem for many other businesses. The time MapQuest has wasted explaining where they get their data from would have been better spent correcting the actual problem like they have done for many other businesses.
