      I have repeatedly asked Mapquest to remove my business listing from their site www.mapquest.com, and it is still active after a year. No one has reached out to us.

      The week of 10/3/2022 it was discovered our owner's personal phone number is attached to our Mapquest business listing. As instructed by Mapquest's website, I contacted Data **** to correct the mistake. They were able to change it in their system but told me Mapquest doesn't automatically update their listings. I allowed processing time like they advised, checked back, and our owner's personal number is still listed two weeks later. Additionally, I placed a ticket (#*******) with Mapquest directly and was sent an email that did not state a response timeframe. This worries me, and I am not confident they will respond soon enough. Upon trying to reach Mapquest via phone, I discovered they do not have a customer support line. This was confirmed by the voicemail I reached, which explicitly stated they were not available for phone support. Point being, there is no effective way to contact Mapquest in case of an urgent situation like this. They instead want you to register with/purchase their listing service to change business information in a timely manner. The phone number is very sensitive information, and we need it removed immediately.

      My home address keeps popping up as a business that does not and has not ever been here. It is causing random people to show up to my home looking for a job or work to be done. Mapquest removed it last year but now it is back up. Its impossible to get ahold of anyone. This is a time sensitive situation. One photo shows the listing and one shows one of the many times I have tried to contact them.

      I have the same complaint about MapQuest that a lot of people are having. I had an old listing on ****** business for an online business of a sensitive/adult nature so I had hidden my home address, where the business was virtually taking place. I didnt want clients just showing up. I live at this address with my children. The address was never supposed to be public. MapQuest then took that old address years after I had closed the business and removed the ****** listing and they placed that address prominently on their site so that when the parents of my kids friends search our address, it shows up. This is humiliating. I was basically doxxed by MapQuest. When I ask them to take the listing down, they dont respond. You basically have to pay another company $150 to change your address. For me, I had to do this. This was for a business that is closed and its not listed anywhere else online. So basically I was doxxed and then blackmailed into changing the address. I went through a long process with Yext and they finally took down the listing and refunded the money but just a day later yet another listing is back. Now I will have to wait another week to have my home address taken down. This is highly dangerous for me. I did not give my consent to have my address placed online. It is an old business now defunct. The address was always supposed to be private. This is not a matter of public record. I dont think MapQuest understands the gravity of what theyre doing. It is unethical, especially because there is no way to get in touch with them and they dont get back to you unless you pay Yext. Im getting one refund but Im not gonna pay again to get a second page removed. So now I may have to wait longer just to get my home address taken off this terrible website. This has caused undue stress and is also ruining my reputation. I want my home address taken out of the MapQuest database forever.

      Mapquest has my home address and phone number listed on their map as a business. There is no business at this location. There are exposing my personal information to the world which I did not give them permission to do.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

       

      The personal listing has been removed. 

      Why did it take the BBB's complaint to get it removed within hours of filling a complaint, when I followed the process for removal on your website and nothing was done for over 6 weeks?

      Mapquest has my personal home address listed as a business and this is an urgent privacy and security issue for me and my family! I have submitted several support tickets, left voicemails, and sent emails with zero response from Mapquest for what should be an urgent issue. Please get this removed immediately!!

      Mapquest is listening my personal address with my business. I have left at least 5 request explaining to them that they have made a mistake and to please remove it. This is causing people to come to my home. I also spoke with someone there who hung up the phone as I was explaining to him their mistake. Since then Ive not been able to reach anyone and they havent removed my address. Please have this corrected this is very dangerous for me and my family. How could they make such a mistake and not care. This is causing stress and anxiety. Please remove my information. Thank you.

      I own a business in the Dallas **** and Mapquest has listed my personal address as the business address. I've been submitting requests to have this situation resolved since June and I have yet to be contacted about having this resolved. I need this fixed ASAP.

      MapQuest is displaying my personal home address online when you search for my business, This is a huge safety concern for me due to the sensitive nature of my business and I need this removed ASAP. I have contacted Mapquest multiple times by submit a ticket to deal with this issue but have not received a response. I need this listing removed as soon as possible as I am concerned for my safety.I submited 6 tickets from July 8th and never get take care.
