      We have been CenturyLink customers for almost 10 years and I am completely dissatisfied with their horrible customer service. We have been forced into switching to quantum fiber, which I understand is a better option for a home ***************** While waiting for the new quantum fiber equipment to be installed, our **************** has been completely absent and the company, after hours of phone calls and texts between myself and their disinterested and often disingenuous customer service representatives, they have refused to work on our equipment and repair it because they no longer use that technology. After finally pinning them down and speaking to a supervisor, I was denied the adjustment on my bill that I requested because they will only adjust for service that has been interrupted during the days no service was provided. I was forced to purchase $60 worth of additional data from T-Mobile in order to get my personal hotspot to work long enough between the time that our service was interrupted and the new quantum fiber equipment was installed. I had read many reports of their poor customer service, and I am here to add my complaint ************ has some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

      The absolute worst company I think I've ever dealt with. Took hours to cancel my account. Come to find out, ********************************************** $75 for some unknown reason (its impossible to speak to a human there), they never notified me about the "charge" (no mail, email, text or call) and then they sent it to collections. Do not deal with these thieves.

      It is almost impossible to cancel service with this company. I have spent a total of 20 hrs on hold, been disconnected 5 times and had to start over by calling back. I can not cancel my service without talking to someone. Not only that, but I was told it would be canceled on a certain date and was continuing to be billed and charged. For a month and a half. Calling them to get the month and a half charge was horrible. Being transferred 5 times and each time waited on hold for at least 1 hour each time. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I would give them zero stars if I could.

      Effectively a scam. They set up your service, get you used to it then your internet will stop working and you won't be able to contact anyone via any method to fix it. Want to cancel? Good luck! You'd have to actually get someone on the phone which is impossible.

      Century Link has a huge problem with customer service. More so getting the boots on the ground to fix the problem. My internet service has been working but my phone land line has had no dial tone for over 2 months now. I have been through this revolving door of repair tickets, email updates saying it will be repaired on a certain date only to have the day come and go with nothing fixed. Various times I have logged into my account to check on appointments to reschedule or cancel old tickets, and the system says that it can't be rescheduled or canceled at this time. I have chatted with numerous agents who try to be helpful, but in the end nothing gets fixed. Cancelling would be great, but a few years back I got a "lifetime" price lock which I really don't want to give up. If nothing is done soon I will find another provider. **** service here can be spotty, and I know there is a big push for VOIP so they can get rid of land lines altogether but the utilities commission won't allow it. I want to know what else I can do to get them to fix my phone.

      I wish I could give you a flat zero where stars are concerned. I started this service in October 1924 I pay my bill through bill pay. I receive sheet through email with a dollar amount on it. I paid him extra the first two months then I sent them the normal bill of 4999. They charged me a late fee of $18 when I shouldve had a $20 credit they carry the $18 over month-to-month, they never sent me a statement just a sheet saying what the balances I called and called and called and never could get a hold of someone that could answer my questions I asked for supervisor on three different occasions to call me and no one ever did I just called and this is the end of August to cancel my service And they said it wouldnt be canceled till September 19 was the earliest I could get it canceled which added another month I tried to explain the situation to him and I said I received a bill in July for $175 which I wanted to dispute And I said I want to cancel my service and he said OK but I owed $261. If I paid him over the phone I had to pay the representative nine dollars I tried to explain my situation to him and he wasnt interested in hearing it at all. I believe this is the worst company in the state of *******. I now realize theyre not BBB accredited, but I believe the ***************** office should step in and look into this company according to the Internet and according to the Better Business Bureau theres been over 884 reviews on this company Ive read a lot of them and everybody feels the same way

      They raised our rate over two years for inexplicable reasons until we were paying $20 more per month than when we started. Cancellation inexplicably requires you to call them -- you can't do it online.

      I live in a rural part of ************ and have had CenturyLink internet service for over 12 years only because it was the only wired service we could get when we moved into this area. Every summer we have had the internet service go off and on throughout the afternoon when it gets hot. We have called out technicians over the years with nothing but excuses as to why the internet service goes in and out. This summer was the worst. We even had the service go out later in the evening when the temperatures were dropping, so I'm not buying the temperature excuse. Every time you get on the phone, to get service it will be at least a 45 minute wait to get an appointment for a technician to come out and it will be at least a 2 or 3 day wait. We have had technicians out 6 times this year. I am tired. Internet speed in this area is 40gb max and I now left CenturyLink and am with my cell phone company getting internet at tremendous speeds at the same price. GOOD BY CENTURYLINK!!!! I am really surprised this company is still in business. I cannot be the only one getting this kind of poor service.
