We have a documented issue with our line. We have had several technicians out over the past year. The issue with the line is at the street and the second to last technician was great and didn't even come to the house, he went right to the problem and reset it. It has something to do with an old line in the ground and it shorts out every time it rains, which is very often in **********. If left alone, it will come back on when it dries out, but it can be weeks. We have been very patient. This last time I called, they promised me two weeks credit on my account for services lost, this never happened. Then, when the technician finally came out, the ground had dried up enough that both my phone and internet were back on, and they charged us $99 for coming out. The technician was also very rude and insisted it was a problem with our modem, which makes absolutely no sense, especially when you consider our phone goes out as well (not associated with modem). I called and tried to get the charge removed and century link insisted there was no option to remove a charge. This is a terrible company, we have already canceled the phone service and will be canceling internet shortly; we should have done this much sooner. Don't choose this company if you have any choice!

random price increase from $71.05 to $.84.69 but the charge on the card shows $85.69. NO email stated that there was a price increase again... for someone that gets your crappy service of 100mb download and 10mb upload service shouldn't have a price increase. i'll be glad when they crack down on companies like this one for doing such things. Oh and telling me that you sent out emails, the only email i got was in march about your relocation fee not a plan increasement that i tried telling the agent in the support chat but they chose to want to argue. i will be filing a complaint with the *** about all this since i am getting fed up with the crappy service just to have a random price increase and there was no notification in the app last night about it until this morning AFTER the payment was taken. We got your service because we are on a ********** budget. This will be the last month i'll be using this crappy service and their crappy support. And for me to be getting charged that much i should be seeing better speeds and service including better customer service but no.

This review is in regards to Century Link customer service. I called to discuss my bill, I was placed in the automated que. I attempted to speak with a representative, over 4 times, the response never got me to a real person. Then I called another customer service number and was placed on hold for 10 minutes. This run around took 25 minutes and I never got my question about my bill answered!!! They want you to get frustrated so that you just quit. Terrible customer service as they don't want you to talk to anyone to get a real answer!!I'll be looking for another carrier as soon as possible~

I was told there was a 14 day trial period If I was unhappy, I could cancel at no cost to me. Tried to cancel and was told there is no such offer. I was forced to pay for a full month. I will never use Century link again.

In January of 2021 CenturyLink mailed advertising promising $65.00 a month for fiber optics internet service for the **** of the account. So, after the problems with my last provider raising my bill 20% to 40% each year I decided to switch.Every year since then they have raised my bill. I have had to fight with them to not honor their advertising. This is clearly false advertising! What is the life of the account to them? I am still alive, still live at the same address, nothing has changed. Not to mention that trying to get through their horrible telephone system to talk to a live human being is a nightmare. Took me about 10 to 15 minutes to finally get to talk to someone named Ash. Then that person refused to honor their advertising of 4 years ago. So asked to speak with a manager, spoke with Obe (sp?) and they also refused to honor the advertising. The statement they sent by email arrived yesterday 5/6/25 with the increased amount due on 5/27/25. I had already mailed a paper check (because they charge $3.50 to pay by credit card on autopay). Is it legal to send a bill with a payment date of less than 30 days now? This company has followed in the horrible footsteps of the previous company I was using.

2 1)2 years ago our phone line was cut accidentally in a city owned green space by another neighbor. The tech guy at that time was great and came and spliced it back. He put in an order for CenturyLink to come bury the cable. It runs across the city green space and a city park laying on the ground. It has been cut by mowers of the city and parks workers multiple times in these years. I have called and called to get it buried..I've had to spend up to 3 hours talking to foreign people in foreign countries and never does it get buried. It could be a law suit if a child or adult would get hurt tripping over the wire in the park, across sidewalk and green space. Then someone moved our bill from mailing it in for the past 30 years to online and we had no idea who authorized that..only Century Link people did it without our consent. Then they failed to correct it back to mail and charged us more money for several months of not getting our bill in the mail like they assured us they would. We finally gave up trying to get it corrected and paid all the extra charges. Now our line is cut again by mowers and we need this line buried!!! Please help. We live in ******** ******* and can't get Century Link to fix the problem! Thanks!!

Ive had Centurylink for about 5 years (or more). I signed up for $49 a month and it included tax and fees. As of 5/2025 they started adding taxes. I called and asked them to remove the tax because its supposed to be included in the $49. They refused. So Im looking for a new internet provider. They still remain the cheapest and reliable service service available in my area. However , I dont appreciate how they treat customers who have been with them for a long time

CenturyLink sold me on a lifetime price back in 2021 and has raised prices several times since then. Theyre an incredibly dishonest company and deserve more competition.
