      Signed up for price for life a a few years ago. They have just raised the rate by $10. When I asked them about it, they said "price for life meant we won't do yearly increases, but we can still do other increases at our discretion". What?!!! If that isn't false advertising, I don't know what is. Will be looking for a new internet provider.

      Terrible company! They are fraudulent about what they advertised and now know longer abide by what they advertised. Hi **************** am writing you this text to let you know that the company Centurylink in *******, I believe has fraudulently advertised and then took it away from the consumer or even myself. When I signed up for Centurylink four years ago, they had on their website a lifetime plan for $65 two days ago I looked at my bank account and it went to $75. When I called the company and talk to a supervisor along with just a normal customer service agent they had me down they said from day one is a loyal customer which gave me $20 off. I said how can I be a loyal customer and why would I want to sign up for a loyal customer when a loyal customers with a company for years they cannot explain so I said to them you did have a lifetime contract for $65 and they said yes but thats no longer I said well thats what I signed up for. So long story short they now are charging me $75 when I signed up for the 65 lifetime plan which they now no longer have and I believe they took people like myself and went in and changed the lifetime plan to a loyal customer so they could get more money out of us at least I know me I dont know about anybody else. So I think and I believe that that was a advertising ploy to get people to sign up and then later hit them with a $10 more payment when they knew that the company couldnt do the Lifetime even though they said they had a lifetime plan. Let me know your thoughts.       Every month, internet hiccups for a couple of hours. This month--at the start of my sixth month, I have been out of the internet since Monday night/Tuesday morning. The automated number for tech--the one listed here--is fully automated. In other words, no person on the other line. I called because I received a message last night stating I would receive a four-hour window estimate by the morning. I have not received it. What's worse, this is after talking with three techs via their chat. I searched ******* to see if there were others having this concern. There were plenty of people today, speaking of similar concerns with lack of internet. I hired them because I wanted to avoid supporting the oligopoly that is *** in my region. No other internet providers except those two...Undoubtedly, I will be switching services regardless of whether or not they fix it by the afternoon. I mean I loathe *** for their customer service as well, but *** is not THIS bad. I mean I legit told the tech, your colleague said they were going to create a ticket on Wednesday, you should give more than the days I don't have service discounted. She said no...after an hour convo where I said I'd bring receipts of failure, she said no...I wish I could choose 0 stars, but BBB won't let me.

      You guys do not care about your new customers. Some of your agents are rude as h*** I got hung up on because I had questions about service. They where going to set up self installation but a wire was no good so they had to come the next day, did they show no they did not then made up a bull s*** excuse that they had an accident with the truck engine and they couldn't make it. I asked if they would be out the following day they said no they won't be out till the 15th. I use Internet for school and work you guys do not care about your customers because when I said I'll find a different company you guys said ok go ahead that is not how a corporation is ran. Customers should always be right but in this case I'll will be getting a refund for my activation and going to a different company. If it allows me to but zero stars I would

      Predatory and dishonest. We cut tie with them in 2018 and returned all equipment. Thank heavens I kept all documents because months later they sent me bill for service past termination date and alleged I did not return equipment. I spent hours on phone and sent proof of everything. They did not say anything else. Since I proved I did not owe, I though it was over. Now, 5 years later they have referred it to a collection agency for a different amount of money with no explanation. I will not pay. Keep receipts, document everything and DO NOT use this service.

      To whom it may concern,We were talked into getting the highest amount of MBPS (940) for a house that is only ***** sqft. Ever since it was installed it has not been working everywhere in the house. The only places it truly works is the living room and kitchen. Weve contacted century link to no avail 4-5 times. Each time we get told something different but it always ends the same to them not servicing it or replacing it. They asked for the shipping tag on the modem box we let them know we didnt have one. The ******* brought the modem with them and installed it. We gave them the techs number he wrote on the box along with all the serial numbers as well and now they magically cant find the modem on our account? Saying the techs didnt do it correctly. We were told we would have to buy a new one for $200 when this one was just installed during maybe the end of February of 2023 or early March 2023. Techs did not mention any warranty options and we assumed warranty was on it like we always get. In other words we are feeling very taken advantage of and ripped off. Century link needs to own up to their mistakes and make this right. This is a bad way of doing business.

      They should get zero stars. There is a bee hive inside CenturyLink equipment that is in the front yard of a new construction property I am developing. I have contacted CenturyLink multiple times about this and they keep leaving me a message saying the issue was resolved but they never actually come out to even look at it, much less actually take care of the bees. This has my entire new construction project on hold as the city refuses to install my water/irrigation boxes until the bees are gone. Not to mention getting in contact with them is a nightmare. Often hold times are multiple hours. To wait hours to report an unsafe condition is absurd, but for them to not ever fix the issue and continuously report it as fixed is beyond absurd. Also, there is no possibility of confusion as to whether or not the bees have been removed as bees pour in and out of this cylinder all day long. When I drive by (which I do multiple times a day) I can see immediately that the bees are still there. This company is awful!

      Total RIP off my phone was turned off for no reason. After numerous calls they told me yes we can fix it 60$ and 1 week ? You tell me reputable company?

      I'd give them no stars if I can. I've been trying to get a hold of a live human being to speak to all afternoon and it's impossible! My IT ***** told me I need a new modem so I can continue to work at home. Turns out CL "retired" my modem I've had since I moved into my apartment in 2013 but failed to tell me or send me a new modem. Now they want to charge me $15/month to upgrade my modem because THEY chose to upgrade their service???? They keep pushing me to upgrade to high-speed service at an additional $35/month and I don't need it, just the modem. I already checked with my IT ***** It's my 2.4 GHz modem that's the problem. I had to reach out on ******* on my cell phone because their chat service failed whey they tried to test my internet, it went down. She's "working on it" when I told her I don't think I should have to pay, especially as a loyal customer for 9 years. Why is this so hard? Do NOT sign up for them. Pay the extra for Xfinity or whatever here in ****** but CL is no bargain. They are absolutely horrible and should not be in business. P.S. now customer service is giving me a call back but no one answers on their end. Gah!
