      Absolutely horrible customer service. I spoke to at least 10 different reps that had no clue what was going on with my installation. They sent me a modem. Then told me to return it. Then not to return it. Then informed I need to wait a month longer after confirming my order a month and a half earlier. I am currently waiting 4 hours past the time the technician is supposed to be here. And I doubt he shows up. Everything has been delayed several times and I only expect the worst everytime I speak to anyone at century link.

      I havent had internet service for the last two months, and Century Link has canceled the trouble call I had scheduled.

      CenturyLink / Lumen Technologies (or whatever name they choose to hide behind) MASQUERADES as an internet service provider..... Service is patchy at best. They were associated with ***** but left town and did not leave a forward. Telephone response is bad and their recorded messages warn the caller that "customer time is not valuable." Finally found out how to return their box and did so in their mailer. They continue to **** for services and not provided. BE WARNED about doing business with this company. (before submitting this complaint BBB required a star rating. There is ******* and was therefore required to **** one star.

      Lousy service! On July 28 the internet went down. It was too late to call customer service. On July 29 my phone was dead too. On a borrowed phone I called them. They said they closed my account at the request of another provider. I had never contacted another provider. They said I would have to open a new account and it would take week to get installed. All I wanted was the same service I had for years that they turned off without having to come out to uninstall it. Well life isn't always fair and I waited the week. They were a no show. I went and borrowed a phone again. This time I was told I didn't do the authorization they sent me on email. I had explained that I gone over that with the first customer service person and she had me listen to terms conditions and asked if I had any questions so we could sidestep the email. Remember I have no internet or phone. I get a ride to the library so I could get access to my email. Another week wait for installation. It took TWO weeks to restore service. I have learned landlines are not ultra reliable and no matter how long you have been a customer in good standing you still get lousy service.

      I am writing this after being a customer of **********************/******************** for over 25 years. It has always been a major pain to get in touch with anyone real at the company, but this last episode has pushed it way too far and I cannot complain to them as no one cares and it is even admitted by the technicians who work for the company as they are usually the ones who get the fury from the customers over the terrible customer service.This last ordeal started when I was trying to get service for a new house that I built on my land that I was splitting. I ordered the service and got it in March. Now, I told the technician that I wanted to move the modem to the new house and have the same service as I did in the old house once I moved in. In April I sold the old house and moved into the new one which is about 500 ft from the old one and the line runs right past the new house. When the new owners moved in mid-April we called into CenturyLink and gave them all the information for both parties. (We were all on the same call) all the account information was given and the new owners gave them a credit card to start the automatic withdrawal as I have had mine on that since they started it. We thought everything was fine until I got a notice in the mail that my service was to be shut off (July) I called of which took several hours and many agents plus being disconnected about 3 times! When I finally got to someone who thought they figured it out which was that I was paying for my neighbors internet and no one was paying for mine because they thought since the addresses were so close -old ***** Place -new ***** Place they may have been entered wrong. Again, I thought everything was taken care of until my neighbors informed me that their internet was shut off. We both called and again that was a very long process and it was even more mixed up this time. The two accounts were in my name and my neighbor was on one of the accounts. Since we both work from home this has become a boiling point

      Lumen Technologies is the parent company of several places that trace back to being the carrier of record for a bunch of spam calls. Level 3 Communications used to be notorious for that. They bought out some company called Global Crossings, and then in turn got bought out by Century Link, which in turn got bought out by Lumen.... I'd give them ZERO stars if I could....

      Canceled service effective July 26, 2022. They charged, on autopay, the entire amount of the **** covering service from July 20-Aug. 19 and said they couldn't issue a refund because the **** had already been generated. Such theft.

      Been with CenturyLink for many years. And over the past few years the internet is poor quality for what we pay. Dealing with on again off again internet *****. **************** is terrible. Most of all the fact that I do not know if we will have internet each day is a problem.

      Century Link has the worst customer service ever. I was double billed for a service for which I tried to call to talk to a representative to resolve the issue. After many attempts to talk to a live person I hung up. I then went onto the live chat to resolve the issue and was immediately put on a waiting list with 44 plus people ahead of me. I waited for almost an hour to finally chat with a representative. After much deliberation and explaining my problem, the representative told me that the incorrect charges would be deducted and I would get a corrected ****. I thought my issue was resolved. I did not get the corrected **** as promised, so I paid the **** minus the incorrect charge. I just got my new **** and it states that I have an overdue amount and is now tacked onto my current ****. I sent an email to again try to resolve this issue, but I have heard nothing from them. Now I will be getting a report of non payment to the credit bureau. The service I was billed for was for ********* which was added as a bundle pkg. which is no longer available. I also got a **** from ********* for the same charge and time period. I paid *********, I dont owe Century link anything. I want this resolved!

      This company should not be in business!!!!! They are only getting a one star because they can't receive less with this rating system. One neighbor down the road ordered their service and they are tearing up seven yards to give them service because they won't/can't use the pedestal across from that customer. Their customer service is so bad that you can't get to a human to ask why they aren't using the pedestal across the street from that customer, thus this poor review. They don't knock on doors first, you have to catch them in your yard. Then the excuse is "oh I'm just a contractor!" CL is responsible whether they use a contractor or not, so not a valid response.Their new customer down the street should have looked at BBB first before selecting them. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate.
