On 4/3/22, approximately 2pm, we parked at ****************************************. There was an African ******** man at the entrance, collecting $10 and directing people where to park. There was no visible signage to note parking fee. The slot we were told to park in had no signage advising any other method of payment nor how much. When we came back, approximately 45 minutes later, we found a parking notice with a penalty fee of $80?!! On 4/4/22 we tried calling the phone number listed but there was no answer. We emailed this same day, but no response. On 4/5/22 we called again, approximately 1pm and did get a customer service person. We recounted who we paid and how much. This individual did not verify if the parking attendant was or was not from their company. He spoke to someone and came back saying we owed $60? At no point did he confirm what their parking fee is for this location. So we disputed the charge. On 6/13/22 we received a letter from **************************** Attorney at Law advising us that we had 30 days to dispute the $80, in a formal written letter. Once again we detailed everything of who we paid, how much we paid. On 7/1/22 we mailed our Letter of Dispute to the offices of attorney ******. On 7/18/22 we received a letter from **************************** Attorney at Law stating that theirs was a valid debt for collection. The letter further states that not paying this notice could result in the parking company booting and or towing our vehicle? This letter notes the date in dispute as 3/24/22. We were not parked in this location on this date. This is rather concerning that this law office has errors in their communication and is not proofing or checking all of their records. If we have confirmation of what the true cost to park is for this location we would pay this additional amount, if it is not the $10 we already paid.Notice #********** License Plate: ********************************************************************************* We have a clean credit record and have never gone through anything like this.Business Response

Please provide proof you paid to park. This parking lot has a pay station and our records do not show that you paid for your license plate to park. This ********************** lot is unmanned and we are not aware of any employee being on the lot taking payments. There are signs on the lot advising to pay the pay station only and not any person.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:The parking attendant was immediately at the entrance taking money and directing where to park. If there was a sign it was not immediately visible. Nor was there any signage in the parking slot to flag of payment otherwise. We had no way of knowing that this parking attendant was not an employee. We did not think it odd as we saw many other parking lots with attendants immediately at the entrance. The 4/3/22 date in question was an extremely busy day as Deep Ellum was having a street festival. There was another car immediately behind us waiting as well. When we called and spoke to one of your customer reps on 4/5/22 there was no admittance that this parking attendant was or was not an employee. The only response given was that the fee of $80 would be lowered to $60? I would like clarification of what your actual parking fee is to park at your lot? Per day, per hour? Do you have this clarified in your signage you say you have at this location on ***************? I would like to know what the charge is for parking less than an hour. I have used other parking lots on some occasions in the downtown ****** area, but all of these have a visible signage that does clarify the cost to park, if by the hour or per day? I believe I have the right to know that.
Sincerely,
*********************Business Response

I got a fine from these people, (notice number NW-******) and they said I parked in their lot that is private and yet, I paid for the parking. I have the bank statement to prove it.Business Response

We are unable to read the attachment that this consumer has submitted. It does look like it is a credit card statement; however we will need the original receipt to see the details to determine the date, time, expiration.Customer Answer
Date: 08/03/2022
I dont have the original receipt from the 21st of July as I got this fine a whole week later. I find it odd that when I decrement the fine number in your site, every car that also got a fine was with the same time period as me as if your system was working correctly. Also, my bank wasnt charged the payment of $10.00 for the three hours of parking I paid until the 27th. The way I look at it, I know 100% I paid and I only go to ****** once every few months its easy to see what was charged to my bank account. So Im not paying the fine regardless. Please try and take me to collections because Im more than happy to take you to court for this fraud.

RF-******, As I explained on my previous complaint I received a letter dated 06.08.22 on 07.13.22 over a month later. This company said that my ticket had expired. I left at 11:58am but they are saying I left at *****pm and got there at *****am. I paid through ParkMobile which sends you notifications when your time runs out. I paid $12.75 which was for all day but then received an alert from *********** and paid another $2.75 that is $15.50 total which is over the per day limit of $12. I have called them and insisted and laughed at me saying it was still expired. For them to think that someone who already paid $15.50 is going to avoid paying $2 for another hour and risking a parking violation fee over a month later for $80 is insulting. Based on the reviews they have been doing this to a lot of people to. I have disputed it then they came back asking for $60? $60 is what 5 days worth of parking which I didn't even park a full 3 hours. Now they sent me a letter as intimidation with a lawyer information. I have emailed them back disputing it. At this point I think I need to get my lawyer involved as well?Business Response

I have reviewed the complaint and the receipts submitted by the consumer. The receipt that he submitted indicates that he paid through 11:58am and he actually left at 12:23pm. Each ****** must follow the posted rules of the parking lot and pre pay for their parking session. This consumer contacted our office and worked with our staff who worked with him and offered a reduced settlement of $60.00. We believe that this notice was valuably issued and is now due.Initial Complaint

I am including receipts, screen grabs and photographs which depict that my vehicle was parked legally and that I submitted payment for the entire time I was parked in Lot 11. Payment Receipt (see pic) shows I paid $20 (plus $1.65 Convenience Fee)...this receipt does not break down (show) that this was 2 separate $10 payments. One $10 payment (via App) was executed when I arrived at 4:27 PM on 7/16...the other $10 payment (via App) was paid when I received the text notification (see pic) 15 minutes before midnight...this payment was paid to extend my parking beyond midnight going into 7/17 (1:19 AM)...per the instructions on the text from Parking Systems of America to 'add more time before expiration'....which is exactly what I did. Screen shots demonstrate that the parking prices at Lot 11 are available in $10 increments...further demonstrating that the Payment Receipt does not break down the 2 payments I made. The parking time reflected on the Payment Receipt (7h 33m) is not accurate given that I paid an additional $10 just before midnight to continue parking for an additional 1h 19m. Perhaps Parking Systems of America does not inform the consumer correctly yet I, in good faith, followed the directions from the App and the text notification I received from PPS of America. Finally, There is a serious legal issue for PRRS with the discrephency in the address your Parking Notice which states that the 'violation' took place at 319 ************...when the Payment Receipt clearly states that parking took place at 351 **************. That is a serious issue that I take exception to and PRRS cannot go back and try to revise. PRRS got it wrong. Finally, as stated previously it is obvious that I acted in good faith to pay for my entire parking time... your claim of a violation and penalty of $82 should be voided for the facts and reasons stated above. If not, I will be contacting the BBB and other entities to ensure the consumer is protected from vendor mistakes or consumer fraudBusiness Response

The ************ is trying to collect for something that I already paid for. I paid for parking and was ticketed for not having a visible parking paper...how do I know what the parking attendant can see? Who can ask money from people for not following rules? They are not a ************ Attached is the ticket and proof of payment Here is my response to them when I got the ticket, but they are still seeking payment. Dear attorney *****-This is in response to your notice from 5/3/2022. I dispute the ticket issues above. Obviously, you can see I paid for parking today and it was valid. See enclosure. You mention in an email that the requirements and/or rules for parking on the lot. You must pay for the space your vehicle parked in and you must display the receipt visibly face up on your dash. This is not true. What is DOES NOT say as you can see from the ticket provided is that is the word visible.Furthermore, It does not matter if the prepurchase ticket was not visible because it was- in fact - paid for in advance and that is clear by the documents provided. The payment was made for services offered. Because one person cannot see the tickets really is not the issue, the ticket was on the dashboard of the car as required, the real issue is if the payment was made, which it was, and the proof was given for this. I can't be responsible for how someone else views the ticket or not when placed in the proper area. Cease any further communication with me. I consider this matter closed, do not contact me any further on this issue by any form of communication. If you do, I will consider it harassment and contact the ************************* *********************Business Response

The owner of this parking lot has established rules that each ****** must pay the pay station and display the paid receipt on the dash. There are signs and the receipt states this requirement. This is the only way the lot attendant is able to verify that the vehicle's parking session has been paid for. When the attendant checked this vehicle there was a receipt but it was face down and unable to be read. I have attached the photo taken by the attendant. We believe this notice was validly issued and due.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: while it may be a reason to give the ticket initially, it is not a a=valid reason to continue to ask for payment after evidence has been provided that payment had been received to park in the lot. Who said people can just charge people a fine whenever they feel their rules are broken. You have no authority to do so, and cannot provide any law that allow you to do such. I paid for parking and thus the matter should be revolved with o further action on your part. There was no sign in the lot that says the ticket has to be clearly displayed, just that it needs to be on the dash board

You parked on private property and in doing so you must follow all posted rules and payment policies or you are trespassing. The manager/owner of this parking lot requires a paid receipt to be displayed on the dash. Look at your receipt and the signs on the parking lot. This notice is valid and due.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:As you can tell from your own pictures in this case the receipt was clearly displayed on the dash of the car and visible in the widow, so I'm not sure what you claim is for that "rule". The rule you state was followed, as shown in your prior post. No where does it state how the receipt needs to be displayed, just clearly displayed, which is was, So- with your own evidence you have invalidated your claim to collect any money. Also- I'm not sure that you can decide what is valid and what is not, that is for a government body to decide, not you. Also- evidence was given to you that the services offered were - in fact - paid for, which further invalidates any claim that you may have, any any future money "owed" to you.
Sincerely,

I parked in a private lot in ********* ** on July 15th and paid for parking as described on signage. Two weeks later I received a ticket from PRRS for failure to pay for parking and was ordered to pay 82$. I sent a receipt of my parking payment from July 15 to the email listed on the letter and received a counteroffer of 20 dollars off the ticket amount. There should be no ticket!! I paid for parking exactly as required with correct license plate and spot number. I will not pay this ticket and want it removed.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: the time zone on the receipt is in eastern time while the citation is mountain time. For your information, eastern time zone is ahead of mountain by 2 hours. So yes, if you didnt even examine the receipt closely it would appear I paid two hours late but I didnt. The ticket is invalid as I paid as soon as I got there. Please actually read through the documents provided instead of assuming I am stupid. I will not pay this invalid ticket. Remove it immediately.

I am writing in regards to Notice Number PCA-******, issued on 15-July. The notice states that I have exceeded the 'grace ******* for making a payment. The notice shows my arrival at the driveway to the parking lot at **********************************************, at 11:44AM CT, which is correct. Once we found a spot to park, we exited the car and attempted to use the text2park website notated on the signs. As we are in an historic district and arrived during the local stock show which pulls in many tourists, the signal we received on our phones did not allow us to complete the transaction within the parking lot, as well as their system not allowing my existing account to process payments as I have used their service twice in the last 6 months. We went into the Stockyards region, and still experiencing a complete lack of cell service due to bandwidth congestion, we went to the next available restaurant for access to their wifi. As expected, you do not get wifi passwords until a purchase is confirmed, so once we ordered drinks, I was able to get the company's wifi password and completed the transaction. The confirmation email was date-stamped 12:01PM CT, which means that between the time needed to find a parking spot and the time to receive that email in a region with a severely reduced broadband signal for wireless applications (and yes, I am a telecommunications engineer that has specialized in the field for over 20 years), that resulting 17 minutes between the date-stamp of the picture and the email receipt is obviously lower, and definitely within the supposedly stated 15 minute grace ******* I sent this all of this to PRR and they replied that the grace ****** was still exceeded, my fine is now reduced from $82 to $40, and I need to be aware that their office will not respond to any further communication, via regular mail, email, fax or telephone, unless new information is provided. Looking at the numerous other complaints on this site, it is not surprising.Business Response

This parking lot has numerous methods to pay for your parking session. There is a prominent pay station on the lot which does not require you to have wifi. In addition, you are not allowed to leave the parking lot until your parking session has been paid for.
