We have been paying for 4 years and never used the service. When I asked for the contract, it could not be found. She has put a request in to waive the last $445 invoice..I don't know who monitors the usefulness of the software to the customers but they should be able to tell us where this originated from and the terms of the contract. If they can't find a contract, how can they bill us for 4 years!!???SambaSafety

I am sorry to hear that Stone Belt Freight Lines has not been receiving the value from the service. Based on my research, it appears this solution was originally purchased from a company that SambaSafety acquired a few years back and that is why we have not been able to locate your original contract. This can happen with older contracts if the acquired company did not have a contract, or it was misplaced. I am glad that our representative was able to act quickly to waive the last invoice and I see that there is a request to cancel the account completely. We were able to cancel the account on the same day as receiving the request and while its never easy to lose a customer we understand your decision.Review fromJames E A

But my job has not flagged my background or my driving record. Y'all pulling outdated off information and y'all using it against people. This company reported false and outdated information against me to Uber. To make matters worse they arent answering any correspondence by email nor are they available to take phone calls. I plan on filing a defamation lawsuit against them in the very near future. This is the second time they have reported misinformation and there definitely needs to be legal action against them from multiple parties.SambaSafety

I have been using Samba Safety MVR for a few years when we have a new employee. I have not had to use them since last March. Them implemented a new process of billing all clients $25.00/month. This was started with NO warning to clients who do not use them on a frequent basis. As a result I have terminated our account with them and requested that they waive the January $25.00 fee.Apparently they must have a number of requests for this and are denying all requests and saying that they need a 30 day notice for cancellation.Additionally, they are charging a $25.00 fee if you pay by check.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYSambaSafety

Thank you for your feedback, we want to take all reports into consideration and ensure we appropriately address any concerns. There was a notice sent to all companies 30 days prior to the network fee being implemented on any customer account. We are developing and adopting a standardized practice for price increases for customers, partners, and products, which allows us to adjust prices yearly, at a minimum.
A network access fee is a nominal charge to cover the costs associated with maintaining and improving our network infrastructure. This includes ongoing investments in hardware, software, and security. The network access fee enables us to allocate resources needed to maintain our infrastructure to meet our customers needs.
Our intent is and never has been to cause pain points, but to ensure we continue to provide a high-quality product and service to our customer base with minimal impact.Review fromNicholas S

1 starSamba is truly phoning it in and doing the bare minimum. I hope they go out of business or come to terms with the fact that their service is woefully insufficient for the workload they are trying to take on. They are sluggish and slipshod in their MVR checks, especially when it comes to understanding license status, Yet they have the gall to come on here and respond to reviews saying that they do not exceed the legally required 30-day timeframe to respond to candidates. Congratulations, you're not criminals... Truly the bare minimum.When Uber ordered a routine annual MVR report on me, Samba incorrectly reported my license was expired. Shockingly, I spoke with an employee at the ***** who told me in their own words that it was a known problem that ***** was "too stupid" to understand the information they pull for these background checks, and advised me that I would have to order a duplicate license for them to be capable of understanding that my drivers license was never invalidated by the expiration of the CDL permit, simply because it would be put on the top of the report and bump down the CDL permit expiration. My license has never expired, and the copy of the report Samba sent to myself and Uber plainly did not say that my license was expired, only that the CDL permit was expired. Considering that this report was for an Uber driver, this is a distinction that they absolutely need to be able to make.There is also no way to contact them beyond their website contact form. Everything I have read online on forums says they really do take the full 30 days to respond when you use the form, and I have seen several claim they never bothered at all. I'm not sure how they can attempt to run this kind of business with nobody to answer the phone. Every robo-dial option leads eventually to a prompt to go on their website and use the form. Even **** told me they have no way to contact them via phone.Callously neglectful of how their work affects the livelihood of others.Review fromJim W
