I have had American Auto Shield for a few years and just recently had some claims. Horrible experience each time! The dealers have to wait on the phone for hours to get a claim resolved. In many cases American Auto Shield says they have no record of the dealer even submitting it, which appears to be delay and give up tactic. You have to get very involved to get this process to work and stay on top of the repair shop and warranty company. Car Dealers should not have to wait on the phone for hours to speak with someone to get something done. Their customer service is horrible and the claims department and customer service department do not talk or share documentation. Neither knows what is going on!!!! They seem to just have some trained robots ( benefit of the doubt here) on the phone that can only read a script and give you a no help answer every time. No empowerment to do much with the customer service team. If you speak with *****, ask for someone else or you will waste your time. It is like a dog chasing it tail with these people. My truck has been in the shop since Nov and just now getting addressed by these people in Jan.American Auto Shield, LLC

The process was very smooth and quick. I needed a car jump. I've waited up to hr or more with other roadside assistance but he was here within 30 minutes. Very impressed with the service. He was polite and professional.American Auto Shield, LLC

It was a nightmare. Auto Shield stalled on the claim continually asking for more info from me and the repair facility. After three weeks time. they finally sent an adjuster out. He declined all the repairs but a $200 item for a $6000 repair job. I spent $109 a month for this policy for over a year for exactly this sort of situation. What a ripoff!!American Auto Shield, LLC

Worst Experience. Purchased a ****************************** Policy from American Auto Shield approximately eight months ago. Six months later my vehicle began having shifting and acceleration problems. Immediately I took the vehicle into a local dealership for repair. After completing diagnostics, the dealership recommended replacement of the transmission. **** refused to accept the diagnostic result and requested further testing at my cost. This was completed and a partial repair was authorized, though the dealership stood by their original recommendation. When the repair failed to correct the issues, **** was again asked to authorize replacement of the transmission. **** has requested further testing, again at my expense. Nearly two months later I am still waiting for authorization and repair. Over the years, I have owned many vehicles and repair warranties. This continues to be the worst experience I have had with any such company.American Auto Shield, LLC

It should be noted American Auto Shield does not sell MBI. A separate entity, AASIMI, sells MBI and American Auto Shield serves to administer the claims. Complete scam. I had fuel pump replaced ani I paid 465 out of pocket. They only paid ******. Boy do they have all kind of excuses. Do not use this company , if you want to call it that!American Auto Shield, LLC

I went to the place you said to take it to , you should have paid the full bill minus the deductible. You are a scam , if thats the place you say to take it to then you should cover the repair. No one is going to put a fuel pump in for ******. Specially because its in the fuel tank. Scam fraud. My drive chain broke and was diagnosed by two different auto shops. CarShield made excuse after excuse and passed me around to ************************************************* different information and delaying to start of fixing my truck which I need to support my family. They know it and I have 100s of emails to show and prove their absolute terrible warranty service and I hope this draws attention by the government to step on and stop this very obvious fraudulent company who does not even follow the own rules and laws in the contract. I have email and phone proof. CarShield stalled and delayed and left me without a vehicle for two months. The professional auto shop who has been in business for 20 years will never work with a warranty claim from CarShield. You wasted his time and my money. The mechanic said you could even have the removed broken motor but you were trying to force ME to pay out of pocket to tear down the motor which was diagnosed drive chain in my Original OEM motor. Worst company ever. Please take down your tv commercials as they are misleading and a scam.R. G.

Just received my first response and voicemail from your customer complaints sept. Jan 12th. The ******************** needs to shut you and this scam down. My vehicle has been in the shop for over two weeks and adjuster just keeps asking for more info.. Called customer service there telling me the shop keeps miss diagnosing the vehicle which I believe is not true. The dealership/shop keeps sending them evidence for the repair and customer service keeps telling me oh 24 to 48 hours for the adjuster to approve .. Its very frustrating They should put this in the fine print.. I cant even rent a vehicle without a adjuster approval.. Also when I called customer service and spoke with a supervisor they couldnt even tell me if it was approved or denied. Pretty much your on your own and offered no help..American Auto Shield, LLC
