I started a claim on November 6th till this day we cannot get the adjuster **** to answer calls they been giving run around for almost 4 weeks has an extension but either he says busy or on the phone with another customer how if yall work from home never returns calls to dealerships this company is fraud they just take ur money monthly the advertisement is a lie on tv he wants pictures and pictures of this that never replies then we he does get them its another thing they are scam artists everyone thats answers they just taking peoples money paint on rental for almost 4 weeks alreadyAmerican Auto Shield, LLC

I've been paying Carshield for years and never had issues until it was time to fix something major on my truck. At the end of July I heard a tapping noise on my truck, a 2019 Ram ****. No engine light came on the dash or any other alerts, so I did what any other person would do and drove it to the dealership to have it checked. The dealership said that it was the exhaust manifold that needed changing on both sides. Carshield approved the work with no issues and they fixed it and I didn't hear anymore tapping for a few months. In October, the same tapping noise started again and there was still no alerts or anything that came up on my dashboard, so thinking it was the same issue I immediately called and set up an appointment. I brought the truck in immediately on Oct 31 and this time it's the lifters and cam shaft so I basically need a new engine. I went back and forth with Carshield and the dealership having to be the middle man for almost a month without a vehicle. Now on Nov. 25 I finally get the call sayingthat my work has been approved and told me to set up my rental without giving any other details. The dealership reached out right after I spoke with Carshield and notified me of the same information, but also told me there's more to it. The service advisor stated that Carshield only gave me a credit of $3,900.00 and I will have to pay the difference of a new engine that's $14,000 or a used that's $9,000. I immediately called Carshield back and asked why everything wasn't covered and their response was because I drove my vehicle to the dealership (that's less then 10 miles from my home) I caused more damage to it. There were never any warning lights or alerts that came up on the dash so I did the exact same thing when it was my exhaust manifold and it wasn't a issue. So now that it's a bigger issue they have found a way to come up with anything possible to not pay for major repairs and this is something that I have been paying them monthly for years to handle.American Auto Shield, LLC

I've had a few claims with my vehicles under Car Shield. For the most part it has been professional and timely. A few hiccups in getting claims approved. But evenly everything worked out and claims were processed properly. So far I'm very happy with the policy.American Auto Shield, LLC

This company y is horrible when it comes to professionalism time efficiency and transperancy. My experience started 6 mo ago to get my tra and transfer case fixed this was to be convenient and quick but it has been anything but that in the time it has taken this company I've been 500wkly for a rental which I only got 300 reimbursement for I've been paying carshield monthly a car note and insurance for a vehicle I haven't been able to drive for 6 months this company disregarded my kia ********** advise and suggestions so they could save a cpl of dollars and ended buying defective used parts this has been the worse experience I've ever had I've tried to reach a complaint dep a manager anyone that can guide me get this done efficiently and quickly but all I've gotten is the run around with mo end in sight ohh did Iention everytime they mess something up they come up with we need pictures or your facility didn't email us I get cc on every email my kia ********** send this company and I get them just fine how don't they get the email is their susyem thst crapy? they did tell me that i should of gotten an email today from my adjustors I'm still waiting in the email Beware di not do business with this company they are not honest or reliableAmerican Auto Shield, LLC

This auto shield is nothing that I thought they were they are there to take your money but when it comes time for your vehicle to be fixed they want proof won the car lot dealership took pictures as requested by auto shield they claim to not see the problem they asked for more pictures the dealership takes more pictures and send them to him with an explanation circles them in red stating that my exhaust manifold should never have a gap and he points to it and he says right where the gap is is where the Bolt is broke it should never have a gap the dealership also states that bolts fail on a exhaust manifold because of high temperatures thats what created the gap because a broken bolt auto shield still claims that they do not see anything wrong even though there is a big gap in the picture I try to tell them like *********************** gardeners take two pieces of paper staple them together and Ill pull them apart one of the papers will have the staple a.k.a. broken bolt and also by tearing the papers apart that would show the gap with a broken bolt a.k.a. staple because they do not want to help pay for my car repair now I have to this auto shield is no good in my mind they are nothing but rip off that needs to be shut down I was told by one of their agents way before this even happened that they would use parts wherever they can get them including the junkyard I highly recommend this place be looked at and shut down they make it look so good on TV they probably paid those people off but when someone for real tries to do this auto shield and it fails on them I dont understand how a business that supposed to be good and turn around and take our money and buy not doing the repair make us pay more money I have pictures but I do not know how to put them on here Last thing I want to say they say yes its approved one minute and then they say no its not approved the next they keep doing this final result its not approvedAmerican Auto Shield, LLC

I do not understand clearly if the exhaust manifold is no longer attached to the block of the motor this is in the pictures with a gap how they say there is no problem that gap is creating a leak a problem for my engine they do not want to fix Ive been with them for two months now and they say they will not even return my money unless I live in ******* are they discriminating against *******? I am an auto repair repair facility. My customer brought in a Dodge Durango with engine miss and lifter noise. Auto shield said she needed to authorize tear down for diagnostics. Customer approved. Auto ********************** would not call or email anything after I sent estimate. Numerous calls and emails, they sent inspector. Pictures clearly verified collapsed lifter. Customer needed vehicle, and authorized repairs to get vehicle back. Do to this, Auto Shield declined to pay for the repairs. It was an internal engine failure, they repeatedly would not call or email. Finally the supervisor got on the phone after numerous attempts to talk to adjuster. He was very rude and did nit want to hear any reason for which I called. He would not give me his name. Extremely POOR customer service. I was told that the tow truck would arrive an hour to my calling the tow truck driver didnt get to 35 minutes after the hour the last time I spoke to one of the operators she was very pleasant and kind but since my car was taking to another shop I havent heard from anyone I had to call the shop that was working on my car so all together I say they are pretty goodAmerican Auto Shield, LLC

Dont use this company , its a rip off you pay your money and hope that you never need them but when you do they dont pay , and they blame you for whatever is wrong with the car so they dont have to pay .. in a month I received only one call from them while my car was in the shop no emails and I had to call everyday for information . When the claim was finally denied they never notified me I of course found out after I called them and they refused to send me the reason in writing , just needed an email so I could understand how they came to the conclusion .. run !!!American Auto Shield, LLC
