On Aug. 23rd, 2022, my 2013 Dodge Dart broke down due to a blown head gasket. I took my car to *************************, which they work with CarShield. They said sent all the info that was needed to American Auto Shield, the company thats contracted to CarShield. A few weeks ago, I reached out to ******* regarding the status and they informed me that the Adjuster needed more info on a part that was needed and I had fixed. I reached out to A.A. Shield and they said thats what they were looking for, despite the repair facility provided them every piece of information that I had kept in my car. I have been getting the run-around from this company from the start of the initial claim, and this Platinum package that I have aint work spending $130 a month. They dont care if your car is broke down, they wont to help you get back on the road, even if they are an emergency and you cant get to your loved ones.American Auto Shield, LLC

I send everything that was needed and the repair facility has as well. Endurance NEVER did anything wrong when I had them and treated me when I had car trouble before. You dont try yall best to help when bigger problems are happening to your customers and its sad.Review fromChristopher B

Was mislead into purchasing a CarShield Aka Auto Shield insurance. I was told I can take it to any car dealer & get reimbursement. Not true. Was there a legit company not true it a scam insurance that takes and advantage of people . There not a place that will fix my car that does the work I need here . They keep trying to send me to place that cant fix it or scam repair place . The reason places want take it is they take up to months or never pay us & use low cost substitute parts. They are truly a snake oil insurance. Run away from them there not legit .American Auto Shield, LLC

My engine started knocking about 1 and a half miles from my home, so I nursed it home, called the tow service, and had it towed to a local dealer listed as working with Car shield. This was approximately 1 month ago. After much back and forth with their claims department, they informed me that they would only pay for the cause of failure repair, a rod in the engine, even though the dealer had told them the engine had a cracked block and had to be replaced. They contended that my continued use was cause not to replace the engine. The catch is the engine is unrepairable. So how can I use the money they authorized for repair to fix my engine? The engine must be replaced. I asked for the money they authorized to assist with the purchase of a new engine and was informed that the money could only be used for repairs. So, now I am waiting on the adjuster to return my call and try to get some clarity on how he could authorize money for repairs, but not authorize the same money for an engine replacement. Even though I know my continued use did not cause any further damage, I am willing to settle for the money offered for the repair and replace my own engine. For now, they do not even want to offer that much. This is remarkably close to fraudulent. This took place from Sept 27 through Oct 27, 2022American Auto Shield, LLC

To date, I have not received any communication from American Auto Shield regarding any resolution of my claim. They act like your claim is bothering them and they do not have time to take your concerns seriously. There is no way they can justify a "continued use" denial of my claim, as I did not know what was happening and stopped the vehicle as soon as safely possible. They are punishing me for honesty. The vehicle did not stop. It is still running, I did not drive it to the shop, I immediately had it towed.Samuel N.

After waiting for more than two months to get a decision. I finally got a partial payment agreement from Carshield. To get it over with, I paid one-third of the price for the replacement engine ($7000). Then after having to rent a car for over a month, they sent a check for $39.00 for rental reimbursement. I will be canceling my contract at the end of the month. I would advise steering clear of Carshield.Review fromFernando M

First time I had to use my extended warranty on my 2015 ******** S550, which cost me about $3,000/year!!! Took my car to the MB dealership with a total of 5 concerns, from starter issue, to door actuator not working, to steering wheel issues. All supposedly covered on my "Platinum" coverage. They sent an adjuster to the dealership who walked in to *********** unannounced and was asked to step out and go to the service advisor first. ******** got mad and simply denied the entire claim. The car has been sitting in the dealership now for 18 days, while the service director, myself and service adviser are trying to have CarShield and American Auto Shield to review the claim and approve the work. Worst service ever. Now I understand why the face of the service advisor when I mentioned who I had my extended warranty with.American Auto Shield, LLC

That is incorrect. Item such as a "door lock actuator" which is covered on my contract, and VERY easy to diagnose, by simply locking the car and pulling the door handle to confirm the door was in fact NOT locked have also been denied. It is clear to me that CarShield tries to deny and delay their resolution until customer gets fed up and simply give up on it. I had escalated this case, and was told that within 24 hrs I would get a call from a supervisor the dealer would get a call from the adjuster, and NO ONE called me or the dealer. It's a joke! Besides, every time I called to follow up on it and they read the notes back to me it's all wrong. ************* and myself have tried continuously to resolve this, but it's really frustrating when American Auto Shield clearly does not want to do their part.Review fromDanny K
