This company is out to scam their customers. I had a repair on my vehicle which was the transmission my repair facility Aamco transmission gave them an estimate and they did not want to pay the labor charge instead they left me with a $1400.00 out of pocket charge which should only be $100.00 my deductible they gave me the run around with about 8 to 10 different employees none had any way of solving the issue one person will tell me they see the problem and they will send it back for review another will call and say that the repair facility is over charging me but even an idiot will see the difference between what they are paying and what the repair facility is charging I will not recommend this company to anyone dont take my work just read all the reviews on line

This company is a complete ripoff. I had a policy and they never issued a refund when I stopped my policy. Even though they said I would receive one. I put over a thousand dollars on my policy they never helped fix my car nor will they ever.

I had the right sliding door actuator replaced on my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. The window had to be removed which required the 3 wide vertical plastic trim piece to be removed which is held on by small plastic molded clips. One or more always will break removing it. American Auto Shield denied to pay for it to be replaced which means in addition to my $200 deductible, I now have to pay $160 for the part. If this decision holds, I will drop them like a hot potato!!!

My claim was denied because the adjuster claimed I had slug on my engine. I did not have slug on my engine even if it was my head bolt was loose/ damage which was the primary cause of my engine failing which is fully covered under my contract. The inspector even confirmed that the head bolt being loose/ damage was the primary cause which is fully covered under the my warranty. My claim was originally approved but somehow the mechanic and the adjuster had some sort of conflict which I believe was the cause of the decision. The decision wasnt even made based on the investigator whom is sent out to determine the primary cause it was base on the adjuster. The adjuster told the shop prior to inspection that the warranty company wasnt gonna cover the repair. Then after I got a phone call that they were sending an inspector out that came about a week later. Car had been sitting in the shop for 3 weeks had to pay a slue of money for car rentals and there bazzar request to tear down the engine so that they could make a bogus claim. Please *** dont let them get away with this type of fraud.

American Auto Shield is the worst. Misleading sales practices. Most auto dealers hate dealing with them. I purchased the most expensive plan. I was told I would be covered after four weeks and a 1000 miles. ***** in month two, I discovered a fluid leak and clicking in my engine. I took the car to an approved mechanic. American Auto Shield authorized the mechanic to tear down the engine to find the issue. It took two weeks for an inspector to look at the car. 5 days later, they declined coverage based on "pre-existing" condition. It's safe to assume, a vehicle that's well maintained, after ****** miles will have "pre existing" wear and tear. They didn't even pay to have the vehicle reassembled. They are misleading and a rip off. There are legitimate warrantee companies available, American Auto Shield is not one of them. It's been a long time since I've felt this misled or ripped off. DON'T TRUST THEIR SALES PEOPLE!

What value does the Diamond Coverage provide? That's a great question that continues to perplex me when a claim is filed by my auto shop. First, the marketer of the policy is Carshield. However, the administrator is American Auto Shield. The process of calling back regarding my pending claim is arduous and time consuming. I don't expect full coverage for the parts and labor. But, I do expect a smoother process of following and understanding the totality of the claim - what's being covered, what's not being covered, how much of the part cost is being covered by the plan and why it's not a higher reimbursement rate. Also, the customer (me) cannot call the claims adjuster directly. The process lacks transparency and efficiency in making the claims process smoother and less frustrating. Where does Carshield / American Auto Shield find supposed parts that cost 10-15% of the quoted cost from the auto shop? Are the parts new/used/OEM?I expect better service and results from Carshield / American Auto Shield and I refuse to accept the 'approved' covered amount without a more transparent interaction and process with your organization. You need to make this right.

I would give zero stars if I could this company is extremely unprofessional and I work in the car business and had several customers fight to get their cars repaired. They refuse to send out inspectors and claim evidence submitted is a picture of a picture.

One star because I can't rate lower. I have a **** escape, last year had to have transmission replaced they replaced it with a used one with tone year warranty instead of going with **** rebuilding mine for extra ****** and a three year warranty. Well as usual you don't know on used transmissions. Transmission went out a couple of weeks before end of the warranty which is March 10th, **** had it in and checked March 6th. They didn't get back to **** till March 11th. Then they stated to me they are NOT going to honor the warranty because the warranty is expired and they don't want to argue with their supplier. When I questioned the supervisor more he stated to me, in a nasty tone.i am not discussing this any further, a new claim will be opened. Now their telling me they are NOT sure they are paying to have transmission replaced. They are asking **** to tear apart the transmission to see what went wrong with it and they want a oil sample and already had to have it removed from the car. All this so far has had to be approved by me and and now they are asking for photos of it,which they keep sending me text messages and emails for. So far at this moment I owe **** over ******* for labor if they don't approve the repairs and that does not include putting the transmission back together and back in car. And if they do approve it I will still owe **** around ******* to get car back for what they don't cover. Plus when I questioned them on transmission now they are telling me it was a rebuilt transmission not one from junkyard. Which is interesting because last year I had to pay for it to be cleaned before it was installed and according to **** it was from lkq which a junkyard. ?? They are getting out of paying for transmission to be replaced that's under warranty. And try to get out of paying for another seems to me
