This company is a total rip-off they don't do anything that they advertise at all been with them since 2020 never use it 2024 had an issue with my vehicle filed a claim American Auto Shield or American Car Shield whatever they want to call themselves its the same company for those who don't know they directed us no told us where we could take our vehicle yes you heard that correctly you cannot pick the place where you would like your vehicle repaired you know why it because 90% of repair shops do not work with them so you will be forced to take your vehicle to one they direct you to out of that 10% that does. We were told that all we would have to cover is our deductible which is $100. Wrong I get a call from American Auto Shield and the Claims lady telling me that the company doesn't called they to let them know how much the repairs will be also the issue wrong with my vehicle is covered in my plan but this is where Car Shield sticks it to you they will only pay what they think the labor should cost they will only pay what they think the part for the repair will cost so now who do you think have to pay that difference on top of the deductible that you have to pay. We have paid around $3360 in premiums $80 a month on time every month since 2020 and they had the nerve to tell me they are only paying $303 of the claim, and we will have cover the additional $360 on top of the $100 for the deductible making that $460 out of our pockets. This is a scam people don't fall for it, I am telling you they are a scam. Its a shame that celebrities like ********* with his huge platform support and push this trash to hard working common people. I would give this trash a zero stars rating if I could, but you have to give at least one star to post your review.American Auto Shield, LLC

This coverage is a one of the biggest scams iv'e seen. They claim to have paid millions in repairs and to fix thousands of parts on your vehicle and give you this long drawn out description of their coverages during the initial setup. Then you have to wait for a combination of at least 25 days and 500 miles from the initial odometer reading of your vehicle before the policy is effective. The sad part of it all is that I was told that my vehicle had to break down in a "SPECIFIC MANNER" in order for them to cover the repair cost and since the vehicle overheated that is not covered under the "GOLD" or "DIAMOND" coverage. Then leave you high and dry with a huge repair bill! They are taking people money and denying coverage with stipulations!!! The Dealership initially denied me even trying to use this coverage because they knew the company has a poor history of not wanting to pay out for repair cost by asking the owner questions and finding loop holes on how not to pay out these policies! So I recommend boycotting this company and AVOID doing any business! They WILL put you in a financial hardship!!! I have taken my vehicle to the dealership of my choice as directed from your welcome packet and representative. After the first diagnosis was complete the results came back that ** Turbo Leaking, Spark Plugs Anti Seize, ** CAT, EVAP Blocking Valve. Once the dealership had sent over the pre-authorization for approval to repair I was told that AAS would only cover the ** Turbo Leaking. My vehicle was now losing pressure. A second diagnosis was done and found out that there was a crack in the engine. Pre-Authorization was sent to AAS again and came back denying the claim stating " that the engine did not crack due to an internal moving lubricated part" then all the questions came as if I was the fault of the crack in the engine.What does that mean?? Now I am out of Monthly coverage and I am expected to pay $14,000 to repair. I want all my money back plus $14,000 I'm paying nowAmerican Auto Shield, LLC

I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone if youre trying to save money or stay *****************. They will give you the run around and keep denying claims with no facts to prove their adjusters are correct Please do not use them they do not guarantee their customers vehicles. ??American Auto Shield, LLC

I had a car warranty policy with this company. Contact EVPH2060042. Policy ended 10-19-23. Took car to ****************, ******* **. On 9-14-23 for transmission shift problem. Car had ****** miles on it. Dealer stated that found small slivers ******** in fluid in transmission. Dealer contacted insurance company and was told a representative would come out. Representative turned down warranty due to tires not being the same size as what came on car. We purchased 2008 dodge from a dealer in ******/********** with **** miles, this size tire was on the car when purchased. Claim was denied because of tire size.American Auto Shield, LLC

The tow driver showed up in about 30 minutes, instead of the estimated hour & a half! So, I was very pleased that he arrived so quickly! The customer service rep that got the ball rolling was very helpful. My car was towed to the dealership & fixed in a reasonable amount of time! (The only thing I wasn't happy about is that the total amount of my diagnostics was not covered!!) Other than that, pretty satisfied. ****************American Auto Shield, LLC

I would give 0 stars if possible. After having the warranty (aka scam) for a year and a half. My car has been in ************ months due waiting for approval and jumping through hoops. First it is the documents from the shop wasnt received by the adjuster, then it was waiting on an inspector who, by the way, never showed up, then part of the expenses not being covered. My out of pocket expenses total more than the cost to just have my vehicle fixed without a warranty, not to mention it would have been done in a week not 2 months. Its been an absolute nightmare dealing with the company having to make phone after phone and deal with less than friend customer service reps. I was told to dispute the decision and then told by that rep that I couldnt dispute it because it wasnt denied. What a waste of time and money. Stay far away from this company, they drag their feet and look for away way under the sun to get of covering any and everything.American Auto Shield, LLC

The tow service came to tow my car in about 1 1/4 hours so not bad. the cost of towing is ridicules and what is covered is a little more than half of that cost which is better than nothing. A.A.S. should cover the whole towing cost for the premiums we pay. Now as for the repairs go that is yet to be determined. I read my contract and it clearly says it should be covered and my repair company has all my service records. We will see.American Auto Shield, LLC
