I made a claim on my vehicle after it misfired and started running very rough and I called several different shops. The recommend dealership we found was *********************** of ********** of ** when I called them they said as long as vehicle was not staling or breaking down it was okay to drive in. But I am not a mechanic and I took the advice of the certified shop. The Shop told me that for the diagnosis it would cost $161 and it would come out of my pocket and I agreed. They worked on it and the outcome of the diagnosis was that the time and chain was no good. They notified Car shield and they authorized the work to be done knowingly I drove the vehicle in. When they tore the car motor apart they found other problems and authorized other parts to get replaced. The others parts that was recommended to be replaced by the service department that Car Shield would not cover I paid to be replaced Which was $1,500. I paid the cost so then the vehicle motor would be running and working fine. After the car was put together the dealership took the vehicle for a test ride and was misfiring and running rough. they called me up and told me that they needed to work more on the vehicle to see the problem and the results were that cylinders 4 5 and 6 did not have enough compression for the car to run correctly. I Asked the Service manager and they said they will call American Auto Shield for additional claim. They called and within 5 mins or less the claim was denied and was told the reason why was cause the car was not towed in. The Service manager has never had this happen from a extended warranty company before. He feels in his Words that this company should cover this expense and take not that this vehicle on has ****** miles on it. Hopefully this will reach BBB and help me with this problem that should have not gone this far. If i could give zero stars For American Auto Car shield I would. American Auto Shield apparently handles the claims for Car Shield, both are useless. They gave me the run around for over 2 months after my vehicle jumped time. They first tried to say my car had been neglected is why that happened but I have all the services records for the one dealership I have taken my car to since I owned it. All maintenance had been done on time every time. After denying the claim they agreed to reevaluate and pay for the tare down if the facility would send pictures once it was torn down. After getting a big run around for several weeks saying they had not received the pictures from the repair facility I finally sent them myself on Monday 1/15/24 and American Auto Shield confirmed they received them. They told me to give the adjuster 24 hours to determine if they would cover the repairs. I called back 4 times in the next few days and finally on 1/19/24 they said the claim was closed in November and they had not ask for a tare down or pictures and they would not cover the cost of the tare down even though I had been talking to them about it and so had the repair facility. *****, a escalations supervisor, said they did not have any notes in their system stating they had agreed to this and that the claim was denied and closed in November. When I called Car Shield to talk to them about this and cancel my insurance policy with them. I told this gentleman what had happened and that apparently for their convenience all of the conversations with them had been deleted for that last few months, he said they could not delete the comments, but if they didn't see the comments they had to be deleted because both me and the repair facility had spoke to them and been told the same thing. These two companies together are running a scam to take money from people. They make sure they get their monthly premiums but when something goes wrong, they give you the run around and then delete any promises they make so they can't be held accountable.American Auto Shield, LLC

Awesome service technician. He was very polite and well mannered. Appreciate all the assistance he gave me . Offered recommendations for cold ************ of my vehicle. He was very helpful indeed. Be weary CAR SHIELD IS AMERICAN AUTO SHIELD!! Worst customer service, not one call back for claim updates, just one call / voicemail stating claim was denied.I could leave no stars that is what I would leave. Purchased coverage through Car Shield and was bate and switched to this low star reviewed company. They do not cover anything even though previous work was done and completed a year ago. What is the point of having an aftermarket warranty, if previous warranty repairs were completed and vehicle given a clean bill of health. This is a scam.American Auto Shield, LLC

The tow company showed up between ***** minutes. He was awesome. My experience with Car Shield has always been 5 star! I am extremely satisfied with the warranty company that I chose. The driver was friendly, professional and skilled at getting my huge SUV on the tow truck. Thank you for making an inconvenient situation less inconvenient! This company gave me the run around for 4 days, telling me the adjuster needed 24hrs to make a decision. The next day they said, they were waiting for the invoice from the repair shop and the repair shop sent that in the very first day. Well, I dont see that its here. I called the repair shop to ask them to please send it again. The next day, they said it was forwarded to a power train adjuster that needed 24 hrs. Today they said, they were waiting for me to send them ***************************************************************************************************************** three times each day. If you tell me that the adjuster need 24 hrs to make a decision, why are you still making request? If the adjuster is making a decision wouldnt they have everything needed before it reached the adjuster. It all just doesnt make since. Something about this place is off. So at this point it is very clear that this company was never planning to payout on this claim. They make it so complicated that if you need your car you better fix it yourself cause they will give you the run around for weeks at a time. I dont understand how companies like this stay in business. I pray that the Lord will have vengeance upon you for treating his people this way.American Auto Shield, LLC
