      Worst company weve ever had , they find a way to get out of paying for anything that breaks down on your vehicle, They dispute any and everything. I would not recommend this company. Every time we take our vehicle in for repair we are without a vehicle for weeks sometimes months . Terrible terrible company when it comes to paying for any type of repairs.

      I have had my CarShield contract, managed by American Auto Shield for about a year, making my monthly payments. My car's check engine light came on but it was still running fine, so I waited until Christmas Break so that I could manage without my car. The car is operating normally, so I drove it to the repair shop to ask them to take a look. They determine it's an is*** with the timing chain and it turns out there is metal debris in the engine - I'm going to need to replace the whole engine. It takes two full weeks to get any kind of answer from CarShield about whether or not they will cover anything. Finally I receive an email saying that I was negligent for driving the car while there was an is*** with the timing chain, so they'll only cover its replacement. The whole engine needs replaced. I spend 20 minutes on the phone to be told the process to dispute a claim is done online. I hear back less than an hour after submitting my dispute and I'm told they're still refusing coverage for anything other than the timing chain. When I ask for an explanation, they repeat the exact same thing the initial email said with no actual response to my dispute. When I asked to be escalated to a supervisor I was informed that my only recourse, per my contract, is to *** them. They are of the opinion that I was negligent for not knowing there was something seriously wrong with my car for the ****** miles between when the timing chain slipped and I had the car serviced. In fact, the car was operating normally and it had been serviced more than once in that time with no red flags or concerns from the professionals who examined it at those times. They repeatedly told me some report indicated that it became a problem ******+ miles ago and that even though I couldn't tell, it was still my fault and I was still negligent. They could not or would not explain the report itself. They will do absolutely everything they can to avoid paying and will treat you like an idiot while they do it.

      The first person said the tow truck would be there within 90 minutes..Truck didn't arrive so I called back. I was told that the truck was never called for but that she would have it there within the same time frame. The truck arrived from out of state but the driver was very pleasant and within minutes had my door unlocked.

      Although the mechanic came in 30mins, he was unable to start my truck with the battery pack he had. Thankfully a friend was nearby and gave me a jump.

      So disappointed brought my car to auto mechanic for work on my front axles and actuator solenoids, was told that they would cover only left axle not right because boot was torn. ******* told mechanic I was negligent, I have taken in my vehicle for regular maintenance and had done my tires- it was not mentioned to me that there was a problem. When I called to file a complaint they just said they werent covering the items. How are you going to cover one axle but not the other? I have a lot of mileage on my vehicle but I have never been negligent. This was around the holidays which made this all the more difficult. I have been a long time customer and have paid into my policy. I am disappointed more so because I was being told one thing and the auto shop another- they were definitely not transparent and when I tried to email back about dispute to talk to representative, I was blocked. Is that how you do business?
