  My storage was broken into the same day I rented the unit. I have 3 separate police report a lot of belongings was stolen including family photos, awards and many personal items that cannot be replaced. The insurance refuses to pay me anything over $10000 in value.

  Difficult to do business with this company. I wanted to pay off my friends storage balance so she could retrieve the contents. **************** had me jumping through hoops! I requested a supervisor only to be told theyd call me back when available, have yet to receive a call. Eventually she had to update her account online and put my credit card info on her file, otherwise it couldnt be settled. Im totally uncomfortable with my information being stored with this company. Beware!

  I notified Red Dot of move out date several weeks before end of rented paid time. I recontacted them 3 more times as Red Dot had not sent notice that they checked facility to close out my file. Kept getting notices via email and text that I hadnt paid after when it was suppose to be closed. Was told repeatedly by their staff, they were short of help to do the final check but I would not be charged. Just got letter of notice of non-payment again from collections. When I called, and then had my call returned, I asked for a supervisor. When I was explaining why I wanted a supervisor, the phone call was disconnected.

  i moved into a 5 x 10 unit at a rate of *****, i received a rate change notification a couple of months after i moved in, only went up by ****, no big deal. not. the same thing has happened over and over again. i am now at 119 a month and received another notice today that i would be getting another increase next month, this time an additional *****. so here we are almost double what they advertised and sold to me. i tried to use the live chat several times to ask about the changes, the live chat option doesnt work. so i called. sat on hold for over 12 minutes before getting a rep who is located in ************* and told me i signed an agreement saying they could change my rate at anytime and without notice and i could move out if i had a problem. it would be a different ballgame if the unit was actually nice, its not. its filthy on the inside and the gates are consistently broken. stay far away from this company, they shouldnt be allowed to be in business.

  I rented a storage unit at red dot storage in ******** ******** and had water comming in through the bottom of the walls and damage several things that had to be thrown out. Paid for storage unit insurance and everything and they told me that they didnt cover that kind of water damage. Not very happy.

  this company bought the storage company where I was renting a storage unit for 20 years. i have had nothing but headaches from this company. they like to refer you to your storage agreement when you rented a unit. I have no agreement as I was at this location long before they bought it. this is a predatory company, they add fee upon fee upon fee upon. i pay $3 a month fee to not use email as my billing, but then i do not receive a paper bill in the mail! my unit was broken into by someone who broke through the walls of empty unit next to me! you are assessed insurance charges each month as well. DO NOT rent from this company. just sell your items or take them with you. you will regret it. calling customer service will get you a different answer with each person you talk to. if i could give them no stars as a rating i would.renter BEWARE

  Worst place to rent storage!!! We only had it 2 months while my son was on summer break from college . This was our first and surely last time! Went to take my son back to college yesterday in ****************** ** and we arrived at Red dot on ********************************************************************* to an empty storage unit!!! No lock and door was opened and no one on-site to ask anything only customer service rep that dont give a **** about what happened nonchalant nasty attitudes! No one called us all summer! They wiped him out Tv, microwave, refrigerator, air fryer, clothes and shoes winter coats even to rugs, kitchen stuff and college books! ??

  Do not under any circumstances store your belongings in any Red Dot Storage. Facility in **************, ** has my unit broken into after two weeks of being in there. 100% a targeted break in. Stole about 10k worth of stuff. Management was zero help and even hung up on us when we finally got them on the phone. They claim to be safe and secure with surveillance. Not the case. Save yourself loss of valuables and heartache and go somewhere that is actually secure.

  Only keeping my unit for a short time but it's already been broken into and several important boxes and a TV have been stolen, and a strange lock was put on the unit. Zero staff onsite ever. I called the company and they could only schedule a lock cut (which they would charge me for despite it being an actual burglary) at the END OF THE ***** and that's also the only time management could meet me with police there....I am among 30 other police cases this year, and it's July. Constant reviews by other people saying that insurance won't even pay for anything that was lost. I even heard from the police that thousands of dollars worth of work equipment was stolen from here once. I think the cameras are fake. Not to mention there's several reviews of them charging you for services they're not providing after you close your unit.

  Do not rent a unit at this location. They are overpriced and the compound is littered with trash, clothing and overgrown weeds. Theyve had several people live in their units and even allowed them to have pets that theyd leave chained up.
