On the evening of March 31, 2023, I subscribed to ESPN so my husband could watch some games. I signed up for the $9.99 plan. We were disappointed that none of the games were available due to blackouts in the area. On April 1st, less than 24 hours later and not being able to watch any games I requested a cancel through Espn website. I tried to cancel payment with my bank as well, but they did not allow that on the website until after the 3rd day. After the 3rd day I did cancel. I was shocked that ESPN had charged for a year's subscription for $113.75. They refuse to refund any portion and it should be refunded in full. I think everyone should beware of this scam of a company.Business Response

We advised them that after further review, we are unable to process a refund to them as the transaction in question is being disputed by their bank/card processor. Paid 69.99 for a year subscription
Was never able to access ESPN plus. Have called customer support 4 to 6 times spending hours on the phone. Was first told to contact credit card company for a refund but it had been too long and the credit card would not refund. Called ESPN plus back and sent in multiple copies of credit charge. Was told a would receive a refund and never have. Told by 2 agents it’s in the process. Case #********, now agent stating a manager will call me back in 1 hour. This has been going on for 4 months. I’m asking for my 69.99 in a refund since I was never able to access account.Business Response

We reached out to the viewer on 5/18/23 in regard to their BBB compliant. We advised them that we could not find the transaction in question under their email address. We asked if they could provide us more information such as any other email address, first 6 and last 4 digits of the card charged, amount and date of billing. They responded on 5/19 with the information. We responded back to them stating that we found the account with the information provided and the a refund was processed in March. They let us know that they have checked their statements and stated that no refund has yet to be received. We let them know that we will escalate internally to investigate the refund process.
On June 6th, we followed up with an update letting them know that we are awaiting on our bank processor to provide us with the ARN number so we can provide them this. They are appreciative of the follow up from us. We let them know that we will update them once we have an update.

Purchased *** fight on ****** ********* May 6, 2023, but app said it wasn't paid for and continued to prompt "buy it now". Contacted ESPN and ******. ****** said they could see the purchase but could not solve the problem. Was continously transfered back and fourth for almost 2 hrs with no resolution. We also advised that *** ***** **** is on ESPN+ offering over 1000+ out-of-market games during the regular season. ESPN+ does not cover the playoffs as these games are televised nationally. We advised them that a refund was processed on 4/28 in the full amount back to their ****** account.

We somehow got subscribed to your annual ESPN Plus service and it was done through a service that we canceled called ******* *** We did not authorize this and if we did we did not mean to. This is deceptive in that we don't do business with them or you and have not watched ESPN yet. We have apparently paid for several years and this needs to be refunded. My espn+ account in which I pay for monthly thru ****** bundle magically stopped working on my tv itself. The account specially won’t link my espn+ subscription on my tv. I called espn+ support they couldn’t help me at all just kept having me trouble shoot ultimately telling me I need to buy another tv (this one is less than a year old). I requested to speak with a manager the customer rep wouldn’t transfer me to one. I asked for some type of credit to the account just because it’s not working on the device and he hung up on me. Good Morning -
We reached out to the viewer via email on two occasions. On 4/20/23, we reached out via email advising them we providing them a credit towards their account. We also stated to them that while e doing research on this account, our system showed ESPN+ was accessible on other devices. Which means this specific issue is stemming from the ESPN app on your **** TV. Based on the previous notes, an agent was able to go through the basic troubleshooting of clearing cache and uninstalling the app but the issues continued. Next steps would be to factory reset your device, before sending the details to our production team for further investigation. We have not heard back from the viewer. We followed up with another email on 4/25 of which they have not responded to.

I am rejecting this response because I urgently want to have a word with somebody from the Music department. As fans, our voices need to be heard and all fans want the return of the **** ***** Theme for both the *** Playoffs and Regular season. We miss hearing these beautiful nostalgic themes during the playoffs ******************************************* ******************************************* ******************************************* ******************************************* * Your fans that look forward to your ESPN games are really disappointed. You guys took a beautiful theme that got fans engaged and replaced it with garbage. Give us the **** ***** theme back. The W*** can use these current themes. We need our old theme back and I will not rest until change is made and there tons of other fans that will do the same and message this company with the same concern. Our voices matter! Also I have attached some screenshots regarding what others think about the horrible theme change. I will not rest until I have a word with someone from the music department or the person in charge of this. ESPN+ App is blocking *** **** ******* games like they should be blacked out when i am in ******* *************. I have confirmed my IP address is ******* ** *nd am even able to access the *** **** ******* games on my Iphone on the ESPN app but can not play them on the ***** TV connected to the same internet network due to blackout restrictions. This has been happening on an off now for a few months where i can randomly watch one game but be blacked out for another. I have tried calling the customer help line and was placed on hold for multiple hours while a representative went back and forth with a technical resource at ESPN. Several Erroneous, Unauthorized ESPN charges added to ******* bill March 2023 that must be cancelled, cleared or returned. Absolutely NO orders, subscriptions or requests for ESPN/****** of any kind were made or authorized. Attached billing document show: ESPN+ Annual $44.99, One Time Charge of $95.96 and ESPN+ $79.99 on March 4 at 6:21pm. I did not order any of these products, I did not authorize the order of any of these products, I do not watch ESPN/****** or utilize any ESPN/****** products now or in the future. ALL charges posted by ESPN/****** entities are to be 100% credited, returned, refunded in their entirety to $0 balance.
Initial order email had no information. Searched ******* bill to gain insight on ESPN/****** Error. Called ******* corporate to have any and all erroneous orders removed. ******* directed to ESPN/****** of which there did not appear to be an actual profile on account or any way to cancel ESPN. Went into profile logo to try to delete account. ALL ESPN/****** products are to be retroactively removed and deleted from account. We advised them that we are not able to find any subscription to ESPN+ under the information provided from the BBB complaint. We asked if they can provide any other email address as well as the IPv6 IP address from ******************.
