      On December 16, 2023, a lady hit our house with her car damaging the house and garage. Her insurance company, ******** admitted liability. I filed the claim with our insurance company, The Hartford.
      PROBLEM 1- The claims adjuster, Tracey Y******, erroneously charged our $500 deductible twice, but she would not listen. I emailed the first adjuster we had who went had gone on vacation, about the problem. He must have contacted her because the next day the $500.00 was electronically put back into my account.
      PROBLEM 2- Although ******** did not contest the claim, my company, The Hartford, did not and would not submit the claim amounts in a timely manner. It took over a month before The Hartford submitted the claim amounts to Allstate.
      PROBLEM 3- Although Tracey Yeomans was the Claims Adjuster, she denied having anything to do with the money and could not or would not say when we would get all of the money deposited to my bank account in order to pay the Contractors.
      PROBLEM 4- For previous partial payments for the Contractors, The Hartford deposited money to my bank account electronically. However, for the final $500.00 they decided to mail a check which took over 10 days to reach me. I received the paper check yesterday, Feb. 21. All of this time was used to delay the process of repairing our garage which needs to be replaced since it is permanently off the track.
      We have cancelled our contract with The Hartford.

      This company has been an absolute nightmare to work with in regard to short term disability. I have not worked since 10/27/23, started the process the process for STD with this company due to an illness that I had to seek help and cannot work during this time. It has been nothing but the run around with this company. I have called weekly, almost daily. I check the website for updates and then call to double check that the Hartford has all of the information needed. My provider has faxed the information requested on 4 separate occasions, supposedly they never received it, but when I upload it, they have,”all the information”. Lies. I’ve been told this numerous times and then they request yet even more information. I have submitted 106 documents on 12/23/23 and called numerous times for an update and the representatives claimed they needed MORE INFORMATION. Until one day, this representative dug deeper into notes on my case and did in fact see that I have submitted all the information that was requested. It took 20 days for someone to really look and realize that there was documentation. After that call, I called again, and again MORE INFORMATION IS NEEDED! I got the documentation from my provider, whom also faxed the information in to the fax number the representative provided and they never received it, that is until I uploaded it on the website. This company seems like they truly do not want to help any of their customers. I have not received a phone call from my “case manager”, I don’t even know if I have one assigned. This experience is truly exhausting and I’m struggling very badly and can’t seem to get any help with or from this company. It has been since 10/27/23 since I last worked, it’s 2/14/24. There is no end in sight it seems like as my claim has been denied/under review the whole entire time.

      Didn't want to even give 1 Star - Last year we paid over $2,000 for coverage on a truck, car and motorhome. We are retired and sometimes don't get on the road for a week or more (usually in the car). We used the truck maybe 3 times a year and the motorhome only during the summer months, for a trip or two (probably a total of maybe 4 weeks). During the winter the motorhome it is kept in our garage. We are both 75, retired with excellent driving records. We've been with The Hartford for years with no accidents/claims and yet this year they increased our insurance bill $550.00. I finally smarten up and shopped around. Went with Progressive and dropped $850.00 wished I had switched years ago. Live and Learn!!!!

      The Hartford has to be one of if the worst company to deal with. I’m being charged $1,345.00 for a time period where my company didn’t even exist. They are so crooked that they perform these “audits” without providing me proof of said audit or without even sharing the audit results. Trying to discuss the matter with anyone over the phone is virtually impossible, as I had to wait on hold for 22 minutes for a representative to pickup. The result of that call was the representative emailed paperwork to fill out and re-submit, but the paperwork requests information that doesn’t exist for a time frame that I wasn’t even in business. How this company has not been investigated for misleading practices is a complete surprise. I’m typing out this response as I’m on hold to hopefully once again speak with a representative.

      Don't buy insurance. I've been a pedestrian my whole life. The fateful day came after 23 years of walking. They've: followed me around, made me pay them back every penny after Long Term Disability wage insurance you can just go to public disability insurers like workers comp or social security for, essentially just gave me a ** ********* settlement loan in payments, denied my claim 4 times in 5 months and always just give me more money as if they're trying to force me to visit doctors for the third party they are attempting to collect from but they don't easily approve your benefits so they're entirely out for themselves, cycled through every representative for the ****** claim team which im not kidding comprises like 12 people (they actually have only 2 or 3 men on the team, talk about CT) so you know people walk off from accidents, they live multiple lives, lied consistently about the policy, obtained every driver in the intersections' information and sold it to the at fault which included a police officer and the witnesses testifying for me, managed to find my lawyer who was not disclosed but they found him anyway causing me to drop him who agreed to pay out of his own pocket for tens of thousands in surgeries due to severity. I'm genuinely upset and will be posting a Dropbox link for anyone to listen to my conversations or read my letters or communications with them. They leach from the other insurers like a parasite. I promise you they are not a company you should be giving your money to. This is what you support if you do.

      Worst company ever to work with. Don’t walk but run away do not ever do business with this company. I filed a claim in dec of 2023 it’s now 1/31 and they’re still “requesting paperwork”. Thank God I can’t actually go inside of this place because it wouldn’t be pretty. They are playing with people’s time patience and money! I can’t wait until this company get a law suit against them for the lack of business effort and professionalism!

      Hartford contacted me by phone to give an auto quote. Upon accepting Hartford told me it was necessary to SOFT PULL my credit report assuring me over and over it would have no impact to my credit report/score. Later, by mail, I discovered it was actually a HARD PULL which did, indeed, negatively impact my credit score. I was not happy. I telephoned the company expressing my distress at being deceived by their solicitor only to soon realize my call had been put on "mute"; the associate wasn't even listening! Hartford has lost my business for life. They don't come close to ******* quote (with no credit pull), either! Shame on Hartford!

      Terrible communication with representatives. Not a company willing to take the time to listen to your dilemma. They do not use licensed adjusters, the use a company called **** **** who are lay people. The young kid they sent to inspect our roof that was pretty damaged accuses our roofers of creating the damage, This info was passed to my roofer by the desk adjuster. Pretty sad,that they try to malign a good reputable company to get out of replacing an original 18 yr roof that has been through hurricanes, and severe wind damage. Stay away from Hartford, as they will go above and beyond to not pay your claim. Stay away as they will not pay

      I filed a short term disability claim in July of 2023. It is now January of 2024 and they have not processed my claim, despite having all of the paperwork they asked for. I have been calling and emailing for months and no one has returned my call to give me any idea when my claim will be completed. They've been filing paperwork extensions with the government "due to matters outside of their control" even though I provided all requested paperwork. I have asked for my case to be escalated and filed a complaint, but they still have not yet responded to me.
