On 4-24-25 we parked in the LAZ Parking lot behind ******. To park, you get a ticket from a vending machine and then on the way out, pay the fee which in our case was marked $5 on the ticket. The machine accepts credit cards and 1, 5, 10, and $20 bills. I put in a $10 bill and only got back a $1. Clearly, the person who manages he machine, deliberately puts dollar bills in the 5 dollar slots in the machine, therby collecting the extra at the end of the day. On the ticket there is a number to call, and I get an answering machine, I left a message, and there is no call back. They owe me $4.00Initial Complaint

March 31st, 2025. Amount paid was $44.
I parked at ***** ***** Parking Garage in ******* to complete a shopper order for a local store. As is standard, I had my parking ticket validated by the store, which typically reduces or eliminates the parking fee. However, despite the validation, I was forced to pay $44 in order to exit the garage.
This amount was not clearly disclosed in advance, and there was no transparency about how validation works. When I spoke to the manager for assistance, I was simply told I should’ve “read the sign,” and no effort was made to resolve the issue. I believe this is a deceptive and unfair business practice.
As someone who works gig jobs and depends on fair parking policies, this unexpected charge severely undercut what I was earning for the task. I am requesting a refund of the $44 and a review of the garage’s validation signage and customer service policies.Initial Complaint

Laz Parking manages the parking spaces at my apartment building. There was scaffolding placed in and around multiple parking spaces at the property preventing me from accessing my rented space safely. I attempted to enter the space and damaged my vehicle, from that point until the scaffolding was removed I did not park in the space. Collection efforts are being made, my car (as well as others) have been broken into, I've been harassed via phone and email, my car was illegally booted. I am asking that my balance be adjusted to reflect the damages to my vehicle. I am also asking to not be charged for the time I could not use the space.Business Response

parked in a lot that was the same price for 12 hours I tried to extend the nine hour window. I selected to the 12 hours and kept an error message. Mind you the entirety of the parking was under $20. Afterward, I got a $72 ticket in the mail for not paying, when I have explicitly explained the error and pricing to them and now their collections department multiple times, with sending in proof of their own language in email that says you should be able to extend your time. it has taken them weeks to respond to me each and every time, and they sent me to collections two days after their last response- for money that I shouldn't owe to begin with!!Business Response

On 3-26-2025 I travel to ****** my childrens school event, my GPS had me pull in a side street entrance to a lot that was overseen by LAZ. At the entrance I used, there was no visible signage stating payment must be prepaid to park, or even how to pay. After my children and I park, we walked towards our destination, I saw a LAZ sign saying pay here, with a code to scan. We were running late for the event, so I got the info and planned to pay before leaving.
Upon returning to the vehicle, around 1 hr later. I paid the parking cost of $10, via my phone. (And I have the receipt.) After loading up in the car I notice a paper on my windshield. This stated that payment must be prepaid, and stating I owed $105. (This is not a gated or monitored lot....and the ONLY visible sign was at that 1 entrance/exit. It did NOT state one had to prepay either. Just stated "no free parking". I found out later there was a small second sign at the other entrance that was on a telephone pole, and blocked by an overgrown tree. It was NOT visible to anyone entering the lot, or driving around the lot.)
I have disputed the claim, to the email address at the bottom of the notice. I received a automated response that they would not adjust/forgive the fee. (I sent picture of the notice and receipt, showing I had paid, before leaving the lot.)
I wish for this to be dealt with, as I do not travel or use LAZ lots ever...and will not use them again in the future. It's ridiculous to charge someone 10 times the cost of parking, because of their lack of signs and clear instructions.Business Response

This company straight up lies about where you parked to give you a ticket. They claim I parked in a parking lot a mile away from where I actually parked and sent me a $92 ticket in the mail. When I disputed the claim, they denied me, but lowered the ticket to $15. I will not be paying for a parking lot that I did not park in, a mile away from my actual parking spot that I paid $26 dollars to park in.Business Response

I parked in the Yellow Garage LAZ Parking Garage in *** ******* ******* on 03/09/25 around 12:05pm EST. I lost my ticket and had to pay the lost ticket fee of $60 at 2:12pm EST. I called LAZ Customer Support at (###-###-####) and was advised if I had parked in the *** ****** I could be assisted since they have vehicle license tag tracking cameras in that garage. I was advised to call management Monday to Friday. I called Monday 3/10/25 to remedy the situation and was curtly told that since I lost my ticket I'm liable for the $60.
Providing good Customer Service is more than adherence to policy. It's making concessions/exceptions when appropriate. LAZ Parking Management did not afford me such courtesy.Business Response

Paid 16.90 for parking on 12/27/24 and got a $87 fine in the mail claiming I didn't pay for parking. was attending a funeral and this has not made the situation any better. Seems like this company tries to get away with fining customers with the hope they will just pay the fee and move on. DO NOT PARK IN THIS COMPANIES LOTS if you do i would expect a fine.Business Response

I emailed on 2/28/25 to cancel my parking subscription for the garage at *** ****** ** effective the same date, then I was charged $380.00 on 3/1/25 for an additional month of service. I reached out and Andrew B******* indicated there was a 30-day cancellation policy, but there had not been a contract, the invoice does not cite the cancellation policy either, and I had no use for additional parking access. The company rejected cancellation of the subscription and would not put in effect until 3/31/25. Reputable businesses typically respect and pro-rate immediate cancellations and to do so is solely in the company's interest to the detriment of the customer.Business Response

Thank you for
bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any confusion regarding
the cancellation policy for monthly parking at our *** ****** ****** location.
Our monthly parking subscriptions require a 30-day notice for cancellation, a policy
that is typically acknowledged by customers before finalizing their
subscription. However, we recognize that in this instance, you were able to
complete the sign-up process without expressly agreeing to this term. While our
standard policy requires a full billing cycle’s notice for cancellations, we
understand the concern and, as a goodwill gesture, we have reversed the March
charge. We appreciate your business and regret any inconvenience this may have
caused.Customer Answer

I have been parking at the ****** ** lot in ******** for the last year or so - I typically park in the lot once a week and have receipts dating back to 6/5/2024.
On 2/4/2025 I had left my car in the lot but ended up paying for my parking around 12:40 PM that same day. When I returned to the lot around 4:10 PM, I found that my car had been towed out of the lot despite the fact that I have paid for every use of the lot prior, never had been ticketed at the lot (which LaZ occasionally does), and have never been towed. Again, I have about 30 receipts from LaZ proving that I pay regardless of the level of enforcement.
I immediately called the number for support from the lot, and walked 8 minutes back to my place of work. After walking 8 minutes back to my work, I called the towing company "** **** * ******" to get additional information. I then went to the ***** ***** bank to gather the required cash and paid for an Uber.
In essence, I had spent $10.45 on parking itself, $162.93 for towing fees, and $14.95 to pay for the **** ride from ******** to **** ********.
Additionally, I would like to highlight the strange pricing model of the lot which may prove to be a snare to future customers - On 8/28/2024 I paid $10.45 for 12 hours of parking, whereas the previous day I paid that exact amount for 2 hours of parking. This inconsistency and lack of notice may prove to be a snare for future customers of the lot.
Ultimately, I am seeking "store credit" - or rather, parking credit, to cover the price and inconvenience of my car being unfairly towed.
If you need any of the receipts, please contact me at *******************************Business Response

Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our records show that the customer did not pay upon parking the car. When the tow
company patrolled the lot, the vehicle was not paid. They parked the car and
then proceeded to go to their place of business and eventually paid for
parking. It was not the tow company’s fault that the vehicle was towed.Customer Answer
