I drove through the ****** parking lot in ******** ** to make a drop off. I occupied no spaces parking spaces. Within the next 2-3 weeks I received a demand letter stating I owed $92 for parking for 12 minutes beyond the "grace period." The signage in the lot is minimal, and there was nothing on the stipulating any time in the lot over the paid for time would be an automatic $92 penalty. They threatened to send my debt to collections and wreck my credit score, all over 12 minutes of parking. they also threatened to have my car towed. These practices are predatory, unfair, and unethical. I am sure all the businesses who operate out of ****** do not want their customers facing these inconveniences and baseless threats. The lot should have more clear signage, and cannot seriously expect to be able to charge these amounts with no proof of wrongdoing. I want the citation to be dismissed before my credit score is negatively impacted.

Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have investigated this issue and found the following. We have signage posted through the lot stating what the current
rate in effect is. Additionally, there is signage posted at the entry of the
lot stating that the lot is enforce 24/7, and to avoid a citation payment must
be made. Entering the lot and staying past the grace period without payment
      will result in a citation.

With that said, the grace period at this location should be set
for 20 minutes not 10 per the complaint. Per our records, he arrived with
license plate number *** **** on 2/1/2025 at 13:54. He departed the location on
2/1/2025 at 14:26, a total time spent on property of 32 minutes.

I am not inclined to void the citation and allow him to utilize
the facility for free. If he would like to sign in and pay the parking fee for
time spent at the lot, I would be happy to have the citation voided.

I received a parking citation on Sunday. I have never received a parking citation before and have been driving for many decades. I'd like to find out who to request specific signage at *** ***** **** ****** so that this does not happen to others. I back my vehicle into parking spaces as a rule as this has been proven to be the safest way to park, especially in areas where children are expected, so that upon departure one can safely leave their parking space with a clear visual departure. Apparently, backing into a parking space is not permitted? I'm very confused and all the more concerned. I paid the ticket to ensure that the cost did not increase, but I would like to issue a formal complaint about the process. I also did not see where to pay for parking. Where are the signs? Why are the signs that signal no backing in and that parking must be paid not easily visible to patrons? I have not been to *** **** ****** in several years (*Pre-Pandemic), so I would like to know the steps so that this can be avoided for myself and others. Here again, I am requesting additional signage so many other cards had this orange envelope on them, that it leads me to know that others are also unaware of these stipulations. I'd like to issue a formal complaint as well. I was also charged an additional $3.00 for processing the ticket.

I spoke with a representative yesterday who agreed to a settlement/refund regarding this complaint.

This complaint can now be closed as resolved.

I had a monthly parking subscription at ********* ****** (**** **** **., ************* **). I cancelled that subscription 1/22/2025. LAZ Parking unlawfully charged a card on file, 2 weeks after notice. LAZ Parking insists there is a 30-day cancellation period, but I was never made aware of such a policy, nor did I sign anything acknowledging such a policy. In fact, I never signed anything when initiating my parking pass. Merchant has been unresponsive. I've attached a copy of my correspondence regarding the cancellation and the most recent invoice (the same one that has been sent monthy) that also includes no notice of any kind of 30-day cancellation period.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Our Facilities Manager, Darnell, has informed the customer that within our terms and conditions that were agreed upon when signing up for a monthly parking subscription, we require a 30-day notice of cancellation, which was not provided by the customer which was the reason for the charge.

I am rejecting this response because: I never signed anything regarding this policy and was never made aware of it. Send me proof of notice of the policy. I was never given that or told that 3 years ago when I started parking here.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because I enclosed all invoices I received in initial complaint. I never clicked a button when paying. I added a card for payment one by website. Nowhere on that page does it notify of such a policy. Similarly, that policy is not on a single invoice I received during my 3 years at Edgement, nor is it on any email correspondence I ever received.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ****

I have cancelled a parking subscription at LAZ parking location ****** over 5 months ago. I have not used the facility since 31-August 2024. However LAZ parking continues to bill me for a monthly subscription and is threatening me with collections on a false bill of $1383.50. I have sent emails and talked to representative at LAZ parking without resolution and need the BBB to intervene.

On 8/27/24 a driver for the Laz Parking shuttle bus side swiped my car. I filed a claim through their commercial insurance. They claim they want to handle it in-house and not through their insurance and now is refusing to pay for claim even though they were at fault. The driver has admitted he was at fault and police report says it as well. The claim number for ******* ****** is #************ and for in house at Laz Parking is #******

We used the parking lot on ***** *** in ******* **. The rates stated $5 for the first hour and $2.50 for each additional half hour. We were only there for 1 hour and 20min. When we left the kiosk charged us $50 because we were driving a pick-up truck. We only took up one parking space. The attendant said we were oversized which refers to campers and RV's. I see many complaints online about this company overcharging. I've called the number on the receipt but had to leave a message and haven't been called back.

10/05 paid for parking for $8.41 using their app and QR code.

I paid for 2 hours and the app never informed me that my parking time expired.

I then get a 92 dollar fine in the mail for a parking overage.

This is disgraceful, egregious, apathetic to their customers, and they're lucky someone isn't going to sue them out of business.

We went to a concert at ********* ****** in ******* on 8.29.24. We tried to park at ********* ****** and we were told by parking attendant they were full. He said to “park across the street, they have event parking." Which in all other cases you pay the event parking fee and you are set for event. A month later a letter of non compliance was received at our secondary address. Which is not even where my car or DL are registered. So we are already past the 30 day limit they set with a fine of $92…on top of the ridiculous $50 fee. The letter also threatened to send me to collections, boot and/or tow my car which I would be responsible for. No jury, only arbitration...what?? There was no specification on the signage for Event Parking that there was a limit of 6 hours!
After reading reviews on Google, you can see this is a common issue and complaint. Each review said basically the same thing. We were fined $92.
They “negotiated” to $72. On top of the $50 already paid. $157 to park for a concert!!! There is a real scam going on here. My husband is a veteran, I am disabled, we are both senior citizens. We are law abiding and we were told after paying $50 to park for the Event, that we were over time allotted. The sign advertised Event parking, there was no time limitation stated on that sign. You can find the same situations and bogus fines with a 1 star review on ****** for this company for a good reason. We are requesting a refund of the charges in total of $157…to park…for a concert!

On 9/9, my car need a jump start. The employee who does a dozen jump starts a day according to him, placed the wrong plus minus clamps on the battery. This fried my batter and alternator.

Now, the company denied my claim saying there is no proof! The employee who fried my battery asked me where do the plus/minus clamps go and after he got it wrong, search it up on his phone!

My car's alternator was fried, it couldn't hold a charge. I wouldn't be able to drive my car to the airport with a fried alternator so no doubt that this parking company was responsible for the damage to my car. Now the company denied my claim with a few hours of receiving it, making me wonder if they even know the situation.

I haven't been able to get a hold of a live person even though this is an insurance claim. I need them to reimburse the cost of repairs and my tow. Also, would like a contact so I know who to take to small claims court in Sacramento.

      Business Response

      Date: 10/11/2024

Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have followed up with our local team and have found that our denial was legitimate as the customer signed a waiver before the service was performed. Our local team has reached out to the customer directly to answer any questions he may have.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 10/11/2024

So signing a waiver doesn't mean I am okay with negligent work being done.

Notice this company knows it did wrong and is hiding behind a waiver, which again doesn't cover negligent behavior.

Also, no one has ever contacted me from the company.  I had to look up their executive team online and call them directly before anyone would respond to me.

Absolutely no customer service from this company and again, negligent behavior is not covered by a waiver.

      See you in court

I used LAZ parking for parking near my apartment, paying $105 per month. Although their equipment frequently failed, they never had any issues collecting payment. At the start of July, I paid my $105 monthly charge for the month of July. I was not able to get in or out of the garage. Once I inquired at the front office, they explained that LAZ had sold the garage and it was now operated by a new company. I paid this new company $105 for the month of July, and they provided LAZ email addresses to contact to get a refund. I emailed on July 10 with my billing info to request a refund. I never received a response. In mid August I opened a dispute on my credit card, as the company charged me and did not provide a service. Conveniently, LAZ then responded to my email (a month and a half later) offering to send me a refund check. They then provided my credit card issuer their Terms of Service that say cancellation of a monthly permit requires 30 days notice. This is a COMPLETE fraud, as they are the ones who sold the garage. You can't require a 30 day cancellation notice when you are the company ceasing your business operations in this location. This is deceptive and fraudulent and has cost me hours of wasted time, not to mention I am still out $105. Disgusting business, I will never park in an LAZ lot again no matter how convenient it is.
