      The Edge Fitness in Norwalk has been my club for almost ten years. During that time have survived a renovation. However, one constant has been prevailing. The club has rules that it does not enforce, equipment breakdowns that take multiple weeks to repair, is totally understaffed with less than effective management, and this is currently manifested in the fact that the men's sauna has been out of action for over a week (and not for the first time) and currently the staff has no idea when it will be back. This is an example of another issue. The level of communication is barely evident. For this many of the members blame corporate. The Edge management is a non-existent entity at best, and ineffective at worst. Solutions to the state of affairs are neither difficult to implement nor expensive . Many of the issues have as a sub topic are risk to member health, or safety, or effective and/or enjoyable workouts.

      The cancellation process was very organized, with help from two on-site employees. (I had an issue canceling with their billing partner, ABC Fitness - That is my only complaint here).
      However, the on-site employee manager straightened that out once he understood my situation which the previous employee told him. (This was taken care of within 24 hours!) Thank you again for your prompt responses and for helping me cancel my membership - you both made it very easy and stress-free after dealing with ABC Fitness directly.

      Their "membership" is a trap contractor that they disguise as a monthly membership that is impossible to get out of!
      DO NOT sign up with this gym or any other partners of *** billing gyms!

      I have a membership with Edge fitness in ********* ****** ** for over a year and a half now. Went off to college at * ** * *** ***** and have been trying to cancel my account for months now with no response!
      I've been to the gym and they say I have to cancel online at customercareabcfitness.com.
      Sent numerous emails with on a confirm request of email and they still have not canceled my membership!
      Worst customer service ever! They make it impossible to cancel just to steal the monthly dues!

      This has been the worse and most stressful situation I have encountered with a business in my life. I now have to file a police report for the sales manager who fraudulently signed my name on documents on top of trying to get my money back due to them not cancelling out the request on the same day as I requested them to. This has been a nightmare but after reading all the comments from everyone else this is now a normal practice of the business and it is horrible that they are allowed to continue to commit this type of abuse towards people. I am going to go as high as I go to get a resolve to this situation. I am trying to see how many people would like to file a class law action suit against them.

      Besides the very difficult payment and cancellation practices, management is rude and non professional. The regular staff are friendly and nice but mgt is not.
      Music is way too loud at one location causing one to have to wear ear plugs. No one seems to know or refuses to turn it down. Area manager dismisses issue saying it’s the same at all locations. It is not.
      Wonder if it because of location and lack of care for clientele and staff. It’s so loud as in going to a concert or club. Not good to work in it all day nor work out for a few hours.

      I wish I could give them a lower rating. Everything that all these other reviewers are saying is 100% true. They are a big scam. I “cancelled “ my membership during Covid and now I’m getting the Threatening texts and emails saying I’m in collections. I called and talked to them and they said I owed 280$ but they will forgive it if I sign up for 45$. I told them I canceled. They asked if I had email proof. It was 2 years ago. Also my wife was on with me, but somehow she is off the plan.

      DO NOT go here. They sneak a $55 annual "equipment maintenance" fee that is buried in their year-long contract. They don't let you cancel unless you have a doctor's note or are military, and the staff at the front desk are either rude or unable to help. This is a poorly operated fitness club with even worse management. Their predatory sales tactics will fool anyone and they won't care to fix anything. Enter at your own risk.

      Signed up online, September1,2022,Greenwich location, took tour was shown the floor was told well this is it. No walk through one level tight packed with pople. Mind you, I have only step foot in there for the "tour" lst week.requested cancel, Email Correspondence is as follows

      I apologize, but at this time, you are only eligible to cancel under move or medical condition. Proof of relocation or medical condition is required for cancellation. I have listed the procedures below for verification of what is sufficient proof of relocation or medical condition:
      Cancellation due to MOVE or COLLEGE STUDENT:You must move your residence 15 miles or more from all club locations.
      You must provide sufficient proof that you are moving. Please send in one of the following:
      New lease agreement in the member’s name signed by member and lessor or closing papers on purchase of home (signed by all parties).
      New utility hook-up or utility bill in member’s name.
      Newly issued driver’s license.
      Car or house insurance papers showing new address.
      Current bank statement showing new address.
      College Students who cannot provide other proof of moving (lease agreement, utility bill or driver’s license) may submit a class schedule with the student’s name on university letter head as proof of moving.
      Out of the country: one-way ticket & green card (we will accept a visa or a passport in lieu of a green card).30-day written notice of cancellation. You will be responsible for any payments that fall within the 30-day period from the date vide other proof of moving (lease agreement, utility bill or driver’s license) Cancellation due to MEDICAL Cancellation is allowed for a permanent disability OR if member cannot work-out for 6 months or longer. Provide a letter from your physician stating you have a permanent disability, or you are unable to return to the gym/workout for 6 months or longer.Must be onletterhead of physician

      Please do not start a membership, this corporation is very money hungry & purposely make it difficult for you to quit so they can squeeze more money out of you.

      Terrible management. And the employees/management have a terrible communication service. I pay for a one month training session. I told my trainer I’d like to cancel & he told me to let the front desk know.
      The next Day I went to cancel they said he had already done it for me. Two months go by and my card is charge $456.
      I called and was told that I waited two month before I canceled it. I canceled in May but they charged me for May & June. I called and a manager said that i signed my signature in June. I then told her that my signature was forged because I canceled in May.
      Long story short she figured out that my trainer waited until June to put in my request to cancel and he signed the signature. So she told me that she’d only be able to refund me half because of their “Policy.” However it would have to come by check in the mail.
      It has been over a week and the $228 that I was supposed to receive has not arrived. I now have to get my lawyer involved.

      And on top of all this they’re refusing to allow me to cancel my membership.
