Good Day.
Pitney Bowes has continued to contact me regarding payment of a service I NEVER used. This has been an ongoing issue for several months now and I have contacted them on 3 different occasions regarding the same issue. All 3 times they have recognized and acknowledged that I have never used their service and that they will get this account removed however, month after month this company continues to present me with a bill for there service. I would like Pitney Bowes to please stop requesting payment for their service that I do not and have never ever used. During all 3 calls I was informed that the calls were being recorded so I know they have data collected from all 3 of my requests to remove this and them saying that it will be done. The account number shown for my account on this bill in my hand is ******************* if this helps in finding more information. Every time I spoke to a rep I tell them over and over I never used their machine or their purchase power.Business Response

Pitney Bowes run shady business. First of all their equipment never works right, always off line, cartridges always leaking. Then they make it next impossible to fix the rising issues making the equipment useless. We had to get rid of that boat anchor while it was sitting for 6 months all the while they never forgot to send leasing charges. Final straw was when after returning their brick back to them they kept on billing us for canceled account, ignoring the fact that everything was returned! Now they have a goal to send us a letter from some collection agency with outrageous amounts ?? no way I’m going to pay you! If anything, you owe me money for your useless equipment and inability to pick up a phone!Business Response

We returned their junk machine after the lease. Requested a refund for postage balance. Once Pitney Bowes replied stating they would refund the $50.2. Not sure what happend, but someone reactivated the automatic ACH withdrawal and withdrew $350.00 for postage on 03.14.2024 and again on 03.21.2024. The account was closed 02.28.2024. I filed a request for a refund of $350.00 on 03.14.2024 and again 03.21.2024. Received an email stating Pitney Bowes rejected request because the account number was invalid and a phone number was given to contact Customer Care Center at ###-###-####. I contacted the phone number and is disconnected. REALLY? So I tried callin* ************* and it is totally automated and references you go their website.
I am leary of even posting this because BBB rates them as an A+. I don't know about anyone else filing, but I have always known A+ to be a zero miss! Pitney Bowes has 888 and counting.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: First off it is $700.00 not $350.00. Pitney Bowes did two ACH payments for $350.00 (03.14.2024 and 03.21.2024). This was turned on after our account was closed by an employee at Pitney Bowes; therefore, Pitney Bowes should have the "COURTESY" to correct their mistake and automatically refund the customer. I attempted to request a refund, but the refund request wants an account that does NOT exist on our closed account. The number that was provided to me via an email is a phone number that is not longer in service and when you call the main phone number it is all voice automated. NICE CUSTOMER SERVICE! TAKE THE INITIATIVE AND REFUND THE MONEY...IT WAS PITNEY BOWES MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!

I chose to retire from my medical practice after 49 years. Pitney Bowes supplied a postage meter machine that is no longer needed. I contacted Pitney Bowes for the method of terminating use and returning the meter. I was given a quote of $2,831.51 required for return shipping instructions. They refuse to send me either an address for shipping OR any container. We recently received a notice from them that the machine no longer met ******* **** requirements and that the meter needed replacement. Since I was retiring and no longer required the machine, I did not instruct them to replace the office machine.
My office manager and I spent hours attempting to resolve the issues only to be placed in chat rooms with Bots and agents unable to act beyond transferring from desk to desk. (I retained the texts of my chats today.) The advice from one agent was to find someone else to take over the lease rather than settle. I was also told that the equipment was still "not obsolete".
Pitney Bowes customer service is awful but their price gouging of a retiree is atrocious. They refuse to accept their "not obsolete" (but suboptimal for **** standards) and they refuse to offer me a method to ship this meter. I get "Case numbers" for reference but no true efforts at resolution beyond sending an unreasonable charge for nothing.
Time and money have been demanded by Pitney Bowes without honest or good faith attempts to end this, except for thousands of dollars demanded.Business Response

Pitney Bowes is charging a $53.00 equipment return fee for the return of my postal meter, which I have leased for approximately 25 years. Their messages to me state:
"Per the terms and conditions of your contract, there is an equipment return fee due in the amount of $53.00."
However, the lease/contract that they have sent to me contains no such terms. I have repeatedly requested that Pitney Bowes send me a copy of a signed contract that includes such terms. Instead, they have summarily closed my dispute case without responding to my request.
As it stands now, I am seeking the dismissal of these charges, which I do not believe were ever agreed to in a signed contract. However, if Pitney Bowes can show me evidence of a signed contract that includes such terms, I am perfectly willing to pay the bill.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Pitney Bowes has sent a copy of signed lease from 2018 which makes no reference to a $53 equipment return fee. The lease agreement provided makes reference to a previous 'existing' lease, but mention of an 'equipment return fee'.
I request a copy of an earlier lease with my signature that references an 'equipment return fee'.

We ended our lease of the Pitney Bowes meter on 2/19/2024. I've spoken to multiple service and technical support team members to schedule pick up of the old, outdated meter. No one is helping me to get this meter picked up. I've been put on critical action, expedited, fast-tracked, and escalated. Yet, no one knows when the meter will be picked up. I was given a scheduled date on 3/13/2024 that they were finally going to pick it up on 3/14/2024, and when I called today to confirm, no one had even actually scheduled for the meter to be picked up.Business Response

My lease is expiring on a postage machine I have had in lease with Pitney Bowes. I have given proper notice several times dictated by contract. I have used their website to do so as instructed. I started this process December. The lease end March 31st. They have not processed my request over and over. I have met my requirements and owe them $0 . I called several times and keep getting sent to the sales dept. Yesterday after numerous calls and transfers I got client relations. Chris told me she had submitted the cancellation and I would get a confirmation email with 48 hours. I did not. They also erased some of my cancellation cases in the online records and the one where she told me it would show the closing notes does not and now I can't get in it. They are playing games and not doing what they should .Business Response
