1 starI have similar problems to those listed on his site:
1. I paid my bill on time, to the correct address
2. Think Energy can't find my payment
3. Think Energy crams a $2.49 late fee
4. Think Energy sends me a Disconnection Notice and crams a $10.00 fee
5. After dealing with their "Customer Service", I've had enough. I switch to another provider.
6. It cost me $175 in Early Termination Fees to get rid of these clowns.
7. I have started a complaint with the ****** ******* **********
Looking at the web, it seems that this is happening to quite a few people. Is anyone aware of a Class Action Suit against Think Energy? I am interested in joining.
I can't give them zero stars, so I gave them 1 star. Whatever you do, don't use Think Energy.Think Energy

1 starThink Energy is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I unfortunately enrolled with them October 2022 and they cannot get any payments straight. I have a problem with them every single month. It is hard to understand why they have not been charged with fraud.Think Energy

Hello,
In November of 2022 Energywell/Mothership DBA Think Energy took over Engie DBA Think Energy. Correspondence to the effect was sent via email and mail to all customers notifying them of the change, as well as what they needed to do to ensure payments were posted correctly.
The correct address to send payment to is in the remittance portion of your bill and the address is P.O. Box 5344 Sioux Falls SD 57117. It appears that you are still sending payments to P.O. Box 841568 Dallas TX 75284. If payments are made through your bank, updating the payment address with them will ensure that the payments go to the correct address.

I have had Think Energy as my electricity provider since 2016 or so, no problems, decent customer service. In November of 2022 something changed and it is terrible.. Since November, Think has lost the electronic payment my bank has sent then 4 out of 6 months. Currently my payment made on 5/12/2023 is still lost, my bank has called 3 times to prove it has been paid and nobody at Think Energy cares. Now Think is threatening to turn my power of over their error. I have called 3/4 times but customer service is a joke. I am considering paying their $250 cancellation, just so I no longer have to deal with them. My contract is up in September, but I cant do another 4 months of this. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! NOT EVEN A ONE STAR COMPANY!Think Energy

I have been sending my payments to the correct address. How can you blame the consumer, when you can’t even find the payment.? Proof that the payment was sent to the correct address was mailed to your company from Bank of America, but you can’t find that either.Review fromJohn S

5 starsI sign up for think and I saved 34% on my bill in ** , I saw they have a free energy program.
I referred 12 people I know. This will save me 40% more. Very excited. I signed up for
36 month plan. With no cancellation fee.
I think this is a great offer. I can’t see a thing wrong. I was concerned about what happens at the end of the plan and will I go into veritable plan. I was told they will be in contact with me many months in advance to protect. I see bad reviews but I was told the company was sold and the complaints
Came out off ****** I have not seen anything from this company other than savings.Review fromTerry B

5 starsI signed up for Think Energy after meeting the new leadership team who acquired Think Energy in Feb 2023. The reviews almost scared me away but after understanding that Think Energy is under new management with years of renewable energy experience, I decided to make the change. The process is simple and seamless. My utility company continues to bill me, deliver the electricity and handle any outages as needed. Think Energy is merely my "supplier" which shows on my existing utility bill. No disruption in service, no billing issues, just savings! No enrollment fee, monthly fee or termination fee = no risk!Review fromJacquelyn D

1 starI signed up with Think Energy on 2/28/19. This was a 24-month plan and my rate was 10.8 cents per kWh through 2/28/21. They never sent me a notification acknowledging that my plan had expired. My rate remained the same, so I continued to keep Think Energy as my Supplier.
I look at my bill carefully every month and for 2 years beyond my plan expiring my rate remained 10.8 cents/kWh. But when I received my March, '23 bill, the rate had skyrocketed to 32 cents per kWh! That's a 300% increase!! Think Energy never notified me that the rate was changing, and I had no reason to expect that it would! I would've expected a 30-day heads-up at least!
I called customer service and all they would say was my "plan expired 2/28/21 and after that the rate becomes variable." So after 2 years without a contract, Think Energy makes a HUGE change in my cost and never even notified me?! Horrible!Think Energy

Energy has gone through quite a few changes in the recent months. One of the
major changes is that we are under the new ownership of Energywell. Since being
under new ownership, we have more than doubled the number of customer care
representatives, increasing our emphasis on empathy across our Help Center
communications and in our Support team training, and have created a more
refreshed, straightforward customer portal.Review fromEd K

5 starsI was hesitant to sign up because of the reviews but a good friend of mine (who just purchased Think Energy) is a solid human being and ask me to enroll my homes. I did and I am very happy. I am actually turning others on to Think energy to be in the Free Energy Club. It’s a solid company and I am a happy camper.Think Energy

5 starsIt was super easy and seamless. I am extremely happy that I have a fixed rate. I don’t have to worry about the variability of the rates going up I would definitely share this with my family and friends.Think Energy

Thank you so much for your review, Robert! Please do share with your family and friends to help them not only get a wonderful, fixed rate, but to help them, and yourself, earn free energy as well!Review fromSamuel C

1 starAfter signing up with them just as instructed and being told I would experience no disruption in service I spent a day without power and making a number of phone calls to them got me nowhere. I signed up with another provider and got electricity within two hours. Then I cancelled with think energy and 5 days later got an email from them saying they were switching on my power, so I called again and was assured that it was all cancelled. The next day I got an email from my current provider saying that I was switching over to a new provider. So I called again a third time to insure that my think didn’t have me as a customer. Either their customer service is doing absolutely nothing.Think Energy

1 starI contacted ThinkEnergy today to transfer my service. I built a new home and requested new service as I hoped to continue my service with ThinkEnergy. The agent I spoke with identified himself as German yelled at me as he didn't seem to understand I need service to continue in my current residence until the end of the month on February 28th. Essentially I need service at both homes while I am in the process of moving.
No more than 30 minutes after my discussion with German my power goes out in my current residence. I call ThinkEnergy again, wait for 30 minutes and German answers the line. He tells me it's not possible for me to have service in two places and I will need to find another service provider for my new home. He also tells me it will take up to 4 hours to restore power to my current home. I work from home, it is 30 degrees outside and now I am unable to work until power is restored
If ThinkEnergy cannot provide cross over service during a customer's move than I definitely need to find another provider.Think Energy
