I requested several times that AARP refund me my money back because the auto policy only existed from December 26. 2023 to January 2,2024. And AARP refused to comply.AARP

Made the mistake of buying a term life policy from a major insurance co. after receiving scam letter from AARP. Was told a premium which I thought would be the same month over month. I am not an expert in insurance. Time passed and all looked OK until I got a bill with the premium doubled. Called and was told I was told this would happen at some point. OK but they had it buried in an inches-thick fine print document you had to be a lawyer/insurance expert fo understand. I found this and called them abd got mumbo-jumbo. Spoke to 3 reps and none of them knew what they were talking about. Cancelled the policy, will not pay the ridiculously high premium which I am will go up and up for bogus reasons, This was just a cash grab by AARP. Throw out any life insurance pitches from them, As a matter of fact throw out everything from them. AARP is just another corporate monolith worshipping the dollar.AARP

Thank you for contacting AARP through the Better Business Bureau comment section. We have received your complaint and are sorry to hear about your experience with AARP Life Insurance provided by New York Life. Not all term policies are the same. If you have a yearly renewable term policy, your premium will increase each year. If you have a level premium term protection for 10, 15, or 20 years, premiums will increase annually after the level premium period ends. We apologize for the misunderstanding. Thank you for your valued AARP membership.James M.

Final comment (no responce required) I am sure all of that is true but please lay all that out much more clearly for customers like me who have no clue about insurance. That's advice. Thanks for the reply.Review fromMONICA K

I'm really irritated that AARP has apparently sold my email address to every right-winged political entity in the country. Before joining AARP I did not receive any political emails. Now, each week, I have to unsubscribe to more and more and they just keep coming. It is unacceptable how they are allowing these organizations to use their platform to try to shock and intimidate seniors. This is the demographic that will believe whatever they read. I just turned 50 and was excited to start being a part of AARP and the 'benefits' it came with. I had no idea that my cost to this membership was worth WAY more to them, than it is to me. I completed the form on the AARP website to unsubscribe and to request to be removed from everything. But it's still coming.
This is today's ridiculous propaganda. The least AARP could do is vet who they are selling our personal information to.
Biden 2024 now dead?
Will this finally end Biden’s 2024 dreams?
A humiliating video is very bad news for Calamity Joe.
In this video, new evidence links Biden to direct US military confrontation with Russia.
American lives are now at risk because of Biden’s blunder.
A Presentation was released by a patriotic former CIA and Pentagon advisor…

I have begged them to remove my elderly mom from their mailing list, and they continue to ask her for money. She is 90 with dementia, and they are preying on her!!!! The very company that claims to act in the best interest of seniors are actually exploiting them.AARP

I called yesterday 1/13/2024 requesting a quote on car insurance. After all of the information was given, they were still higher than my current insurrer, and when I mentioned that I was told oh! We're not always the cheapest, then the conversation switched to my cellphone and giving me a discount on that. My comment is, how are seniors supposed to afford car insurance and other coverages with B.S. companies out here claiming to have our backs. My membership WILL NOT!! be renewed. When you're Wall Street owned you do what you're told.AARP

Thank you for contacting AARP through the Better Business Bureau comment section. We have received your complaint and are sorry to hear of your experience. While competitive pricing is a major concern offering products to our members; value, service and availability are equally important in the development of our programs. We cannot unfortunately, guarantee rates in our programs will always be the lowest in every possible situation, but we are committed to making available benefits that are valuable in a variety of important ways to AARP members.Review fromColleen H

I unfortunately signed up again, I really wish I didn't...They sent my cards to the wrong place..It was a different City and State.
Trying to get a hold of AARP is almost a joke.
So now someone has my information..
Really make me mad.AARP

Dear Ms. H*******,
We thank you for your 19 years as an active AARP member and appreciate your recent renewal. I will be emailing you separately with some additional information. Rest assured, your AARP membership cards and premium item have been on their way to your home address. The incorrect address you saw was due to a USPS system error that was revealed to us on 1/16. The USPS tracking number used for your items was incorrectly re-assigned by USPS to another shipment. The other addressee will be receiving a package meant for them and will have nothing that was meant for you. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Sincerely,
Bruce

AARP is a SCAM organization that takes advantage of the elderly. My dad passed away two years ago and my mom is in her 80's. My mom did not know that both my parents were being charged monthly from their bank by AARP insurance. This is fraud. I am reporting them.AARP
