      What a scam! The people they have come to your door selling the “service” are dishonest and shady. After listening to their pitch, the “salesman” took my husbands phone and signed all of these agreements without our permission! We do not want or need Arcadia. And we do not intent to pay out electric bill through them. If they do not cancel the so called “service” that THEY signed us up for, we will take legal action.

      My bill was way higher and I ended up overpaying hundreds if not thousands of dollars over time. They are not transparent at all with their billing so it was hard to find this out.

      They kept saying "it just LOOKS like you are paying us more than your regular bill - we are actually saving you money from your regular bill." However, I did not see any discounts on my Ameren bill and I had to pay Arcadia around $90 monthly for the community farm. My bills through Arcadia were astronomical.

      Total ripoff.

      They closed my account as soon as I was "assigned" a solar farm, and supposedly to start saving money. Also, paid more to them than I would have directly to Xcel. They are a scam!

      I don’t have this company. However I have no solicitors on my door. They rang and asked to see my gas and electric bill. They are not my gas company I do not have solar and feel they had not right to see my personal information. The young man insisted. I had to impolitely ask him to leave. Which did not go well. That’s why I have no solicitors. I felt violated. I feel no stranger uninvited should ask to see my bill.

      So far, my experience with them has been great!

      I too am taken aback by the negative reviews, citing huge increases in cost. Not even sure how that would be possible. I have only ever paid them $5/month in exchange for the service they provide, which I am choosing to pay for because it's helping to create the changes necessary to drive renewable energy infrastructure.

      Haven't needed customer service often but my experience with them has been positive overall. No complaints here. I hope you'll give it a try. It's worth it.... in here ?? ??

      I've had Arcadia for three or four years now. It is true that it costs me slightly more than it would if I paid my local power company directly, but only to the tune of $5 or $10 per month. I'm bewildered by customer reviews citing costs of 3 or 4 times their normal power bill, as I have not experienced anything like that. My local power company has very high rates, which have recently gone up again, and we have to figure that in. Arcadia has not promised me anything that they did not deliver. The few times I have had to reach out to customer service they have handled my issue with speed and courtesy. This is my experience.

      After I moved in with my mother to care for her in her final days, I also assumed her energy bill with ComEd. Arcadia somehow assigned themselves to the new address with no authorization. Their customer Svc says they can’t transfer me to Sr support but they’ll call me back. They have not returned calls after 2 requests, probably because they have no valid proof to assign themselves to my new address and know they conducted a fraudulent act. I want my $97.03 refunded and this business reported for fraud.

      In the case that a new address was added to the utility profile linked to an Arcadia account, the new address would be automatically added to the Arcadia account with a confirmation email sent. Then, three days prior to any payment withdrawal, a statement email would have been sent for your review. The payment would have then managed the payment of the associated utility account.

      I am outraged. This company is a scam. I have been with this company for 6 months now. Before I joined the solar community, my monthly payments were normally between $100 and $120. This month I am being charged $256 even when my consumption has dropped. I called them, and we went in circles for over an hour. She explained that this is a credit system based on electricity production, not consumption. Being that as it may, why I have to pay whatever they want without any connection with my energy usage is beyond me. This is a scam. And, seeing all the complaints, I can see that I am not alone in thinking that.
      I want to cancel immediately, but the process takes 3 months. That is, three more months for them to squish more money out of my bank account. Outrageous.

      All members enrolled in Community Solar get to keep a certain portion of the savings generated by their portion of the solar projects. The remaining portion goes back to the Community Solar developer to maintain your project. In the case that the savings produced exceed your usage charges, any remaining credit balance with your utility provider would still ultimately be yours to keep to reduce future bills.
      This is the time it takes for the solar developer and utility company to fully process your un-enrollment from the Community Solar project. This timeline accounts for your account’s specific billing cycle, as well as the amount of time it actually takes for the utility to cease applying solar savings to your account. This cancellation timeline was presented in your Community Solar terms, agreed to at enrollment.
      Community Solar cancel periods are dependent on your state; our Support site has articles for each state’s Community Solar cancel period:

      They used to be good a couple years ago, but the last few years have been absolutely full of terrible customer service, surprise bills, additional bills,"Catch-Up" bills, you name it.

      They're not getting another penny from me, and I'd suggest no one ever sign up for them again. Find a way to support clean energy without Arcadia.

      Terrible company. They came to my house and said they would not affect Neighborhood Sun Solar which I have had for about 5 years. The person also said they had brought out Neighborhood Sun. They had NOT brought out Neighborhood Sun and found out it will affect Neighborhood Sun.
      When I mentioned the Legislation happening in Md. for Community Solar he let me think he was knowledgable about it and there was some connection with it. He actually knew nothing about it.
      I called later that day to the person who set this up and said I do not want their connection to my energy bills and they only took off my home where I live now and not other other home where my son lives. They said they could not take me off that billing for 90 days!
      I have paid that bill automatically for years with my bank and I got billed 2x for that bill (I have been credited by BGE). Arcadia says I need to call them before each new billing to make sure that doesn't happen for the 90 days. Means I have to stay on top of the billing timing for 3 months!
      It has taken so much time to find out what is happening and talking to various people.
      I do not recommend this company and will and have let others know.

      This 90 day cancellation is the time it takes for the solar developer and utility company to fully process your un-enrollment from the Community Solar project once enrolled.
