      After my 3rd year of surprise bills that are 2 or 3 times the normal monthly bill, I have canceled. Absolutely horrible customer service that makes promises and doesn't follow up, and can't or won't explain things clearly. Rhode Island resident.

As a reminder, all members enrolled in Community Solar in Rhode Island get to keep 10% of the savings generated by their portion of the Community Solar project.       My new bill is another >$600 bill to arcadia, $692 this time. RI energy statement says $-661. This is an absolute mess, I'm very unhappy about $600+ electricity bills. yes, I've worked with your customer service team, and they have not reversed any billing issues and have not helped me understand or fix any issues. I canceled, and I'm told it takes 180 days to cancel! (6 Months) - this company is fraudulent.

      I have called customer service, they have not fixed any biliing issues and when i cancelled, they said this takes 180 days! totally unacceptable. My new bill is $692 to arcadia, where the energy company says my bill is -$661. Totally angry and frustrated.

      They bill you more than you would normally pay and claim they are saving you. They also promised me a $75 credit which they didn't follow through on. Here is the email they sent me.

      Thanks to the credit of -$83.35 applied to your ComEd bill, this helped to decrease your utility charges down to just $5.77.

      After your Arcadia statement was generated, the 10% discount from solar savings was applied which means instead of paying what your utility charges would have been without this credit ($89.12), you only have to pay the discounted amount ($75.02) saving you $14.10 in the process.

      Your account credit of $75 provided by our representative from last month, did cover your utility charges. However, the 90% credit portion placed on your ComEd bill ($83.35 - 10% = $75.02) is still owed to support and maintain the solar project that generated these credits for you.

      Without the account credit of $75 reducing your charges, the total Arcadia statement would have been $80.79.

      This is also a confirmation that we have begun the process of unenrolling you from Community Solar with Arcadia. This process takes 90 days and we will send a separate confirmation email once the process is complete.

      Until the process is complete, you will still receive a statement from Arcadia. Once you receive an email confirmation of your Arcadia cancellation, you will go back to paying your Commonwealth Edison bill directly.

      Rather than taking the time to see if I was contacted, you should take the time to address the reason while I filed the complaint.

      The Community Solar program is a bunch of malarkey. They have visited my home on multiple occasions and have sent very aggressive and disrespectful people door to door. I asked them to leave, as I live on a private street and they not only refused but stated they would wait outside my home until the police arrived, These individuals lack proper solicitation licenses from the state of Delaware. Their sales pitch is full of misleading and inaccurate information. I filed a complaint with Delmarva, as they represent themselves as directly representing Delmarva. This company violates Delaware laws and utility regulations by spinning false truths. They are ESG terrorists and should not be allowed to operate in the state of Delaware.

      Arcadia currently has active representatives on the ground in Delaware where homeowners are eligible for Community Solar. Each member that signs up with Arcadia in this area has the opportunity to receive savings on their monthly utility bill. There are no sign-up or cancellation fees. The process to receive savings on their monthly utility bill is as simple as signing up with Arcadia. Once their solar project starts producing power, the member starts receiving savings.

      I signed up for them a couple of years ago & for a while, it was ok. The past year though I noticed what they said my gas & electric company charged often differed greatly from what they actually charged according to their website/billing. I got sick of being cheated, so I emailed to cancel my membership. They tried telling me they were saving me money but that is clearly NOT the case. When I said I just want to unenroll, they said it'll take 90 days. Why is beyond me, unless they're trying to get even more money out of me before letting me go. I'm 60 days in & 90 days can't come soon enough!! I can't afford Arcadia's kind of "saving money" any longer!

In your Arcadia statements, we communicate that because you are enrolled in Community Solar, you get to keep 5% of the savings generated by your portion of the solar projects and that 95% goes back to the developer to maintain your project. This program is not an additional cost to you.
      You can cancel at any time for free, though cancellation will take a 90 day period that is outlined in the Community Solar agreement that members must sign to initiate Community Solar enrollment.

      We tried to end our service with Arcadia since we couldn't use utility assistance money on our bills. They told us there's a 6 month cancelation period before they'll stop billing us. The next month our power bill was about $800 when it should have been $80. No matter how many times I have them explain their billing system, it doesn't make sense. I asked for an itemized statement of how the charge got so large, and everything they sent showed that we had fully paid our bill.

      We will not pay for power or services that we haven't used, and we aren't at fault if they have been systematically undercharging us (which is the short version of their justification).

      Still trying to resolve things, but in the mean time I had my bank block any withdraws made by Arcadia. Next step: complaint with the Attorney General's office and speaking with a lawyer.

      Hi Harper, to clarify, you will not lose your assistance credits as part of the Community Solar program.
      You are more than welcome to take advantage of our Community Solar program while still participating in an assistance program. I do want to note that the assistance credit does apply a little differently when you’re receiving Community Solar credits.
      When your solar project is on and producing solar savings you get to keep 10% while the other 90% goes back to the developer. Your utility bill will show 100% of the solar savings. We’ll calculate the amount due to the solar developer and add it to your Arcadia statement.
      The amount due to the solar developer is not covered by the assistance credit so you may have a credit on your utility bill but still have a charge from Arcadia. Any remaining assistance credit would be carried over to the next month and be applied to the next month’s utility charges. This means that you will receive that full assistance credit over time instead.
      The 180 day period is the time it takes for the solar developer and utility company to fully process your un-enrollment from the Community Solar project. This timeline accounts for your account’s specific billing cycle, as well as the amount of time it actually takes for the utility to cease applying solar savings to your account. This cancellation timeline was presented in your Community Solar terms, agreed to at enrollment.

      If you have your own solar panels, they charge you for using your own panels!!! All credits we earn through our solar panels is kept by Arcadia regardless of the bill amount. E.g. Xcel energy bills us for $38 because we produced most of the energy for our household, but Arcadia charges our account $211 because that is how much energy we spent. OUR OWN ENERGY WE PRODUCED!!! Do yourself a favor and run as far as you can. Customer support is also awful and unhelpful. This has been happening for 10 months and it takes at least 3 months to cancel service.

      Hi Velibor, thank you for sharing your feedback. To clarify, with Xcel as your electric utility provider, you can have rooftop solar panels and Community Solar with Arcadia simultaneously without interference.
      Through Community Solar with Arcadia, you keep 5% of the production of your Community Solar subscription. This is separate from your rooftop solar panel production as we do not charge you in association with those rooftop solar panels.

      I enrolled in community solar through Arcadia 2.5 years ago (Aug 2020) and was told we were on the list for a solar farm spot. Last month I realized we STILL are not utilizing clean energy nor have we have seen a single solar credit to our account and was told I am slated to see credits in just a few months for a farm that started producing energy in July of 2022. No one could explain why this was taking so long and I was given a $10 discount on my February bill. I have signed up with another company. When I called my energy company to ask that they take away sign-in capabilities from Arcadia, the rep I talked to was not surprised as she stated they have a poor reputation. I found that the bill I paid to Xcel through Arcadia, was exactly what Xcel charged, but again, I never used solar so I can't speak to them overcharging. I would advise finding a different community solar company.

      Hi Barb, it’s true that some members experience a wait time to be added to a Community Solar project due to the development timelines in certain areas. This is characteristic of Community Solar project enrollment generally, not only through Arcadia.
      As you have noted, any utility bills managed through our Auto-Pay program prior to Community Solar enrollment are at no additional cost; we only charge for the total amount owed to your utility.

      Been with them about 1 year my bills didn't go down and about 2 or 3 months ago my bill was double so I called to cancel and they told me it is going to take 180 days to cancel my account I told them I'm not paying them for 6 more months we'll see what

      I am OVER ARCADIA. I have been a member since May 2021. I have been told over and over again that my solar impact would begin next month. Well it is February 2023 and still NO SOLAR usage or discount. It takes days for a reply but what has REALLY set me off and led me here today is that in my ConEd bill today it says my bill was not fully paid last month and I have a balance remaining. Why, I have no clue…I am on auto pay with Arcadia and this should not be an issue. I NEVER miss bill payments and I am livid at this. I do not understand the point of this company making promises that are not kept AND messing up my account standing with ConEd. I see multiple people are also fed up and I am now looking into options for a new green solar provider or service like Arcadia.
