    VERY DECEIPTFUL.
    - Sends us BS "Important Notice Action" via Postal Mail every month.
    - Mailer wants us to pay almost 18 Cents per kW (nearly 3 times our current rate).
    - Their Web Site rate is 15.7 - they want to RIP OFF Consumers for an extra 12.5 % if they use the "urgent mailer"!
Think on that last one carefully! Imagine a UTILITY COMPANY THAT HAS NO INTEGRITY OR TRANSPARENCY and has DIFFERENT RATES online vs their mailer vs the official PA Power Switch site!
Be VERY CAREFUL if you get any mail or communication from them.
Your State will have an OFFICIAL site with every option for your choice in electric - in PA it is www.papowerswitch.com.
We FINALLY get someone on the phone after a long time to try to get removed from their list.
Their agent had the gall to tell us that "it can take up to 90 DAYS TO GET REMOVED".
WHAT? Utility companies are REGULATED - they are mandated to comply with X days (likely 7, 10 or 14) to ACT on any consumer request.

Thank you for your feedback. First, we’d like to apologize for any frustration or confusion with the mail you’re receiving. Our goal is to make sure consumers know they have the option to switch to a clean energy provider in their state, and we do not make claims that our service will cost less than the utility. We take customer satisfaction seriously and are glad to hear from you and will pass it along to the Marketing team to help improve our service.
We can confirm that you've been removed from our mailing list. Contact our customer care team at ***************************** or **************, 8am-8pm Monday through Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday Eastern Time for any further questions or concerns.

I was without doubt tricked into signing CleanChoice Energy'S community solar program contract. The salesperson with whom I spoke did not give me several key pieces of information about this program. I was told I would not have a separate bill. I was told that I would not need to pay any additional fees. I was told that the solar credits received would appear on my electric bill. All of these claims were false. The salesperson claimed her name was Rochelle, and I spoke with her on 2020-08-27.
When I told CleanChoice Energy that my solar credits were not appearing on my electric bill, the agent outrageously instructed me to contact the electric company. See "BillImage_20220309.pdf" attached for proof. Eventually, after several phone calls and emails, CleanChoice Energy agreed to wave the early termination fee. I was warned that I would need to participate in the program for 90 days. I agreed. When 90 days arrived, I was told by an agent that once I made the final payment, my account would be fully settled and cancelled and that I would not get any more bills. The agent claimed her name was Debbie, and I spoke with her on 2022-07-20.
The next month, when another bill arrived, I called again. By chance, I reached the same agent. She initially denied speaking with me. Only because I wrote detailed notes was I able to catch her lying and force her to confess the truth. This agent outrageously then asked if I wanted to make a payment now.
I was persistent. Only by corresponding with a supervisor, she eventually agreed to my reasonable terms, which were accept that I owe nothing, never send me another bill again, and send an email stating such. Despite this saga, I received yet another bill: see "2022-09-16 email from CCE.pdf" attached. Also see "2022-08-17 1718 email from CCE [no more bills].pdf" attached for the email agreeing to my terms. I seek that CleanChoice Energy accept that I owe nothing and never send me another bill again.

Until yesterday I had been a Clean Choice customer for approximately 3 years. However, since June my electric bills have been astronomical ($100 - $160 per month more than the same period last year). I called Pepco to find out what the problem was, and they informed me that Clean Choice is charging approximately 4 times the cost of electricity provided by Pepco per kilowatt hour. I terminated my Clean Choice account immediately. I'm on a fixed income, and I can't afford to be gouged by Clean Choice. I'm in favor of clean energy, and Clean Choice can charge whatever they want for their power. However, if Clean Choice is going to raise their rates so significantly, they owe their customers advance notice.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! I was a customer of Clean Choice Energy since 2019 and canceled my account this week. I started with them at 8 cents per kilowatt and now I am being charged 27.9 cents per KWH. ( 75% INCREASE). Their rate more than doubled from July 2021 to July 2022. My previous supplier, Delmarva Power, charges 7 cents per kilowatt. Yes, I should have checked all the details of my bill monthly but I thought the AC was increasing my bill. When I called, A rep told me that she could give me their introductory rate of 17 cents per KWH, still 10 cents more than Delmarva Power. She also said all Electric supplier rates are increasing, NO THEY ARE NOT, Delmarva Power has increased their kilowatt rate 1.4 cent in 2 years. From May 2022 - July 2022, I have paid over $700 more in electric than if I had stayed with Delmarva Power. This is so wrong and unjust, this company should be ashamed of themselves. As a retiree on Social Security, I hope I can warn others of this company. I will go further to the Attorney General with this matter.

I signed up, after reading reviews I sent a note to cancel. I hope to receive a letter saying I've been cancelled from receiving their service. Appears clean energy is not a not good if rates are not affordable.

We are sorry to hear that you've canceled your Community Solar subscription with us. We want to share that Community Solar is different than our Clean Electricity supply service. When you sign up for community solar, you receive credits on your utility bill for your “share” of the electricity produced by the farm. Since the credits are generally worth more than you pay for them, the average member can expect to save on electricity costs. Please give us a call at ************** and our team can answer any questions that you have about our service.

Biggest scam. I keep records of my electric bills for years now and saw how high my bill was getting when I was barely here a couple months. I contacted PECO and they broke down my bill explaining that Clean Energy charges are higher than what they would have charged. My one bill was 100 higher than PECO would have charged if I just used them. I calculated paying, overall, hundreds of dollars more because I had Clean Energy. They’re a rip off. Stay away. Research better and see what your local provider offers instead.

FRAUDULANT, SCANDALOUS AND DECPETIVE PRACTICES! An independent representative interrupted my day at a zoo to tell me about a "solar farm" that will essentially save me 10% off my utility bill. The rep stated that all I had to do was take a SURVEY and be placed on a waiting list and in 90 days, I would get a call to see if I would like to save 10% off my bill. It was hot and I was certainly gullible. AT NO POINT was I told that my credit would be ran or I'm actually signing up for a complete conversion to clean choice energy. The rep LIED on multiple levels and was purely uneducated and completely scandalous. I was utterly floored when I received an email with a contract with my current utility vendor, account number on it and language to check my credit. Shameful practices! I called yesterday to remove my name from this shit show but my information didn't populate. Today, I received confirmation that my credit was checked and Clean Choice Energy is working with my current utility company. I called Clean Choice Energy again today and requested to be removed and cancel any thing associated with my name. I was provided a cancellation confirmation number. Never again. Please train your goons and advertise/promote your shit show respectfully.

We sincerely regret to hear about this experience, and we will have our sales team review your sales experience. A supervisor from our team will be reaching out to you as well.
By subscribing to a Community Solar farm, customers receive credits on their utility bill for their “share” of the electricity produced by the Community Solar farm. We work closely with your utility company, who continues to deliver electricity to your home. The community solar billing process requires two bills, one from the utility company and one from CleanChoice Energy. Bill credits from the subscription are applied to and reduce the amount of the utility bill, while CleanChoice separately invoices for the community solar subscription.
We do want to note that by signing up for Community Solar, customers share their account number with the sales agent and other details to be able to successfully enroll a customer. This is not information that our team has access to.
Our team is here to help, and we can be reached at 1-800-218-0113 from 8 am to 8 pm EST Monday through Friday and on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm EST.

I was intentionally lied to, my bills doubled and I feel manipulated in ways I can’t believe are legal here in D.C. what a tremendous set back to the vital work being done in renewable energy.
I’ll be sure everyone In my church and community understands your predatory business model.
    Shame.

CleanChoice Energy, Inc. is the biggest scam and theft happening to DC residents. My bills double in one months time and that has happened NO WHERE in the country. Turn them off as your supplier ASAP. Your bills will go back to reasonable without lining the pockets of this scam company.

We apologize that you did not have an excellent experience. We are also upset with the market price of electricity, and we can assure you were are not a scam. We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We also want to point out that the PEPCO residential supply rate in DC has also gone up 28% from last year, and most electricity suppliers in our area and across the country our raising prices because of market conditions. We will have a supervisor reach out to try resolve your concerns.

Used them as a clean energy source for my electricity for the last three years. This month my bill was $519 so I looked into it more - $398 of that went to Clean Energy Choice - a 75% mark up! Unbelievable.
