I can't believe the price gauging going on, and the difficulty in contacting Clean Choice Energy - Please Help!CleanChoice Energy Inc

I am sorry to hear that your experience with our company has not been a positive one, as this is never the experience we wish for you to have. Our records indicate you had signed up for a variable rate program with us, which allowed your rate to fluctuate (up or down) with the market. We offer a variety of plans, both variable and fixed, to meet the different needs of our customers. While sometimes variable plans can offer a lower rate (which customers love), they do run the risk of rising as well. Reviewing you account, I do see you reached out to our Call Center on 3/21. We were able to offer a plan change from a variable to a fixed rate for 12 months with a lower rate for you. We receive new rates every month and were happy to assist you in finding a plan to better suit your needs. I am also a customer with a bad experience. Like others, my bill doubled compared to last year, and I am switching to a different provider that charges much less—going from 0.6 KWh to 0.14KWhCleanChoice Energy Inc

1 starDo not sign up to have CleanChoice Energy be your electric supplier. I made this mistake and it cost me an extra $2,990 this year for this simple reason: CleanChoice's rates are 3x to 4x higher than my public utility's. The public utilities must comply with more governmental regulation, and therefore supply much better and competetive rates, whereas CleanChoice is much less regulated and can increase your rates (and will) exponentially. For my latest bill, CleanChoice was charging me $ 0.392 per KW hour, while my utility would've charged $0.1125. Please learn from my experience and do not use this company.Review fromEnten E

Scam! Do not sign up. I cancelled my account last year. My kwh rate went up every month from 15 cent to 50 cents per kwh. I thought it was inflation/supply issues but it wasn't. This company takes advantage of climate concerned customers. I brought the price gouging to their attention. I was refunded almost $900 but still ended up overpaying by $1000.CleanChoice Energy Inc

My rate with CleanChoice went from a negligible premium to 58.1 cents per kwh. This compares with our current local aggregated rate of 15.97 cents. I wasn't paying much attention to my bill, assuming that the rates were a result of the war in Ukraine, until I received a bill for $1007.17 for one month!
I have now switched, and the bill at the new rate would have been $408.
This company's business model seems to be to lure you in with promises of environmental benefits and then gradually jack up your rate to an unconscionable level. BEWARE!!!CleanChoice Energy Inc

Our records indicate that your energy rate per kwh with us has been the same for each month you have been a CleanChoice customer, and that for the 2 months you had been with CleanChoice, that your monthly invoice has actually gone down. Your invoice for 12/2-1/5 was $415.27, and your invoice for 1/5-2/3 was $319.33. Your energy usage went down the second month which resulted in a decrease to your monthly bill.
