I signed up with credit repair services, and the transaction was done over the phone. I paid $199 and $395. After one hour, I emailed them because I found out that there was a monthly recurring fee of $99, which they did not disclose.
They said an account manager would call me after a couple of days. I called back, there was no manager available. The manager called later and said that they would not refund the $99, even after I cancelled the transaction within a hour, because they were not transparent with their fees. This is a total SCAM. There are loads of negative reviews on Trust Pilot and Reddit about them scamminf consumers. In their contract, there is no indication that they will not issue a refund for the setup fee of $199.Business Response

I cancelled the transaction one hour later I signed up, because I was not informed of the recurring fee.There is no indication that they will not refund the $199 set up fee.There was no work done, since, the transaction was cancelled one hour after sign up. Credit sage it a business that helps people with getting discrepancies off a persons credit report. They claim to help people get stuff off there credit report. They charged me numerous times and did nothing at all for me. Nothing has happened in the 3 months of them repeatedly charging g my debit card. Not one positive outcome came from this company. They have numerous complaints on google as well. They are a scam company. They need to be looked into. Today again 2/20/2025 they charged me again. They did not help me at all. They also refused to put me on the phone with a supervisor. They said I’ll get a call back In 24 to 48 hours by the supervisor. I was trying to speak to one of my debt collectors Caine & Weiner but the phone call was with credit sage. I was under the impression I was speak with the debt collector to resolve my debt. I was talked into all these other things they took my full social security number not just last four. They have a picture of my drivers license and my mailing address. I'm afraid they will commit identity theft / fraud and that i was scammed out of my money. I thought I was speaking to a creditor at Columbia debt about an update on the dispute I filed , I was told I filed the wrong dispute and i was misled there number is under Columbia debt and the credit repair person misled me I thought I was going to get an update on a previous dispute and she misled me into making a payment towards a disputed account that was proven I didn’t owe I feel like I was scammed I called back less than an hour to credit sage because I felt scammed. I paid for a service I didn’t need and I expressed that I had proof and I called equifax I told the representative all of this and she still charged me now they are saying the money went to other things in my credit but specifically called in for a update on a dispute I had already filed but was told by credit sage who I thought was Columbia debt the dispute I filed was wrong.Business Response

I was paying off credit card debt and somehow came into contact with credit sage through the credit karma app. Which I was using to identify my credit debts and the collectors who had bought them. While contacting one of the collectors I came into contact with credit sage. They sold me on the idea that my credit reportings had discrepancies between the three credit bureaus. They told me they had resolved much larger debts etc. I was suckered in. Fast forward 10 months. Nothing has changed with my debts. The only difference is I have now paid credit sage $1,368. I disputed a charge from my old apartment that went to a debt collector. Altho I had all my receipts to prove that I was paid in full and the charge is incorrect its still showing on credit score.. I called a credit dispute agency called Credit Sage to ask if they could help remove this charge from my credit score. They said it will take 30-60 days The contract says an initial fee of 199.00 is to be taken after the initial work is complete.Plus a 99.00 fee at the end of each month following after the work is done. Since 9-3-24 I have paid Credit Sage 499.. I was told they’ve contacted the debt collector each month but they are not respondimg. I have not been provided any form of communication attempts made by Credit Sage. Further more my case was closed but the debt remains on my credit score. From 9/3/24 to date I’ve paid Credit Sage 500 for zero results. I’ve not seen any documentation communication attempts made by Credit Sage in attempting to clear my scores ?!

I went through Credit Sage to get my credit better. After a few months I noticed that my credit didn't improve. January 2, 2025 I cancelled my account with Credit Sage, but January 1, 2025 they withdrew $99 for the month for the payment. I called them up January 7, 2025 and asked for a refund of $99 back to my account since I cancelled it. I was told that the refund will not be reimbursed because it starts a new month. I was told by the manager in charge that they just updated the payment and there will be no refund. No matter how I asked, I am not getting a refund. I tried calling them sooner, (last week) but they were already closed.Business Response

I am mainly upset about them taking $99 out of my account after I had cancelled. My bank statement told me they took the money out after I cancelled. They claim it was before. The money that was withdrawn was in pending mode. It didn't get out of pending mode until after I cancelled. I have asked the manager on duty about refunded my $99, but he refused to. I cancelled it out on January 2, 2025. Credit Sage withdrew the money out on January 3, 2025.

I was reviewing my credit report and call a 1-855 phone number listed for the credit agency that took over a small delinquent bill. Was told by representative that I could pay $278 and have it taken off. The money was never applied to bill. Turns out it was credit sage Mr Tyler Grimmett took the money over the phone to scam me into a service with a $99 a month billing fee. Three months later and money was never applied to any of my accounts. They closed there account with me so they stole $278 from me and now I’m in more debt then I was before. This company wouldn’t even reopen account so I could look at where the money went and refused a refund because they closed the account! Please don’t fall for this scam nonsense company and be careful when calling your debt collectors! I’m extremely upsetBusiness Response

I was manipulated into buying a service that I wasn’t aware of. I was trying to get in touch with a collections agency NCB management that I owed money to.
