    On 10/29/22, I went on-line seeking to buy tickets for the Irish Tenors Concert at the Hanover Theater, Worcester, MA on 12/7/22. I thought I navigated to the venue's web site where I had bought tickets on several prior occasions. I found out later, that I was somehow redirected to this companies unauthorized web site. Believing I was on the venue's web site, I proceeded with purchasing 3 tickets for the show. The website had the tickets listed for $114 each. I selected the tickets, entered my credit card information, and executed the transaction. It was only when I received the email "confirmation" that I realized that I had not been doing business with the venue. The "confirmation" looked suspicious in that it only included the total charge of $444.95 and was not itemized with ticket price, tax, and service fees. Moreover, not only was the total charge much more than one would normally expect with taxes and fees, there were no etickets attached to teh email as expected and there were no instructions on how to download them or obtain them. As it turns out, the company never actually had tickets to sell nor did they have the rights to any tickets. As of this date, tickets have not been delivered. I contacted the company and was denied a refund. I have further reported this matter to the Massachusetts Attorney General's consumer fraud unit as well as the Federal Trade Commission's consumer complaints division. In addition, I have reported this to my credit card company's (Citibank) fraud unit and have disputed the charge.

    Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Irish Tenors, there they were able to see the tickets available, the Delivery Method and Expected Delivery Date (EAD). Once our customer selects the tickets they prefer, they were presented with the Delivery Method and directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $444.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $444.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

    Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

    In addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their credit card account regarding this order. We are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.

    Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. **In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered. I received your email indicating you were closing my complaint for failure to respond according to your timeline.  Unfortunately, I did not see your 11/14/22 email requesting a response until this morning.  As such, I ask that you reopen this complaint as I reject the company’s response concerning my complaint.  First, the company’s website is not at all clear that they are not an authorized ticket seller for the venue or the promoter.  Second, it is nowhere stated on the website that they do not have the tickets available that they purport to sell.  Third, there is absolutely no indication on the website that the stated price is not equal to the face value of the tickets and there is no breakdown as to the service fees being charged.  In this case, I have discovered that the tickets were priced at more than double their face value.  This type of dishonest dealing should net be tolerated and if the company has any sense of legitimacy my money should be refunded with an apology for their misleading business practices.  Thank you. As stated in our previous response, disclosures are made at the top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value.” This is to ensure that customers are making informed decisions and recognize that we are not affiliated with the box office or venue. Part of the disclosures in the ticket selection process also show the expected availability date of the selected inventory, so that customers will know when their order is expected to be sent to them - in Mr. *****'s case, this was listed as December 6th, 2022. To address Mr. *****'s third point of contention, not only is the disclosure regarding face value outlined at the top of every ticket selection and checkout page, but is further detailed in our terms and conditions, which every customer must agree that they have read and understood prior to placing their order. If Mr. ***** has any additional questions regarding their order, we welcome them to contact our customer care team. At this time we consider this matter closed.

    I purchased a Blackpink concert ticket through Tickets-center.com. They are a scam and price tickets at 3 times the regular price. Even I to cancel immediately after buying but no one in the business respond and won't budge on their policy which is very misleading. Also, finally I received the ticket 1 day before the event, the seat is not the one I purchased. It even worse. I need the company return the price difference.

    The website that ticket center uses is intentionally made to look like Ticketmaster . I ordered tickets and when I checked my email I noticed that it was not Ticketmaster who I bought the tickets from. I called to get this corrected but the refused to refund my money. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD!!!

    I purchased tickets from this site by accident. I thought I was purchasing directly with the venue until I noticed the name of the ticket-center when I received my confirmation. The two tickets for these seats was $117 each plus service charges which made the total cost for the 2 tickets $306.95. When I realized what happened I re-checked the venue (Van Wezel Performing Arts center by calling and found out that the same tickets were $49 each plus $3.00 handling for a total of $101.00 . I tried to call the company but no one is answering. I spent almost 1 hour in two chats with the company to have them tell me there was nothing they could do, even though the charges have not yet been charged to my American Express account. (I found this out by calling American Express and trying to file a dispute, which I can't do until the charge has been posted to my account.) I want to get this order cancelled and my money refunded so that I can purchase tickets directly from the venue as I had intended.

This means the price is not based on the tickets' original price, or face value, and may be higher or lower than that original amount. As noted above, the customer placed their order fully aware that they were purchasing resale tickets and that the price paid may not be reflective of the price printed on their tickets.  

    Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.     I purchased 8 tickets to a Toby Mac Concert at the Bloomsburg Fair. Order #45252511. When I arrived for the show, our seats were already occupied by people that also were sold the same tickets from the same website. I have a picture documenting one of the seats from another individual and myself. I called them immediately and had no answer for me. They told me they would start a ticket and get back to me within 7 days and nothing. That was over a month ago. My credit card company was trying to help me and ticket-center keeps recharging my credit card. My family was unable to use the seats since they were double sold and had to get seats through the fair. It was EXTREMELY inconvenient and complete fraud that our seats were sold twice!

    I purchased these tickets on 19Oct2022. Once purchased, I believed there to be a window between order time and confirmation that I could cancel the order. After purchasing, I realized I had a calendar dispute, and could not make the event. I requested a refund, and was told sales are final after confirmation. Upon inspection, I believe this transaction to be fraudulent. I make this claim for the following reasons: 1) An assurance is given from the time of purchase that a sale may be canceled between purchase and confirmation. The time between purchase and confirmation is less than one minute (emails are provided). This gave no opportunity to cancel the purchase once I realized the error. Service is therefore offered in writing that is not given practically. 2) the business is selling a product (a ticket to a concert) that is not currently offered for sale (a picture of the release date for the ticket is provided). The seller is indicating the third party they are working with has this product in hand, and I am disputing this claim to be true. I contacted customer service noting the above statements and was told there is strict adherence to the "All sales are final" policy. As I see the above statements to be correct, I do not believe the business has an enforceable contract in this case and would prefer to have my money returned to me.

Once an order is placed the corresponding seller is notified. It is at the seller's discretion to confirm the order and as such the timeframe of this confirmation is dependent on the seller, not tickets-Center. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry

    With regard to our customer's concern surrounding ticket delivery, we have confirmed that tickets were delivered to the email address associated with the order on 10/21/2022. Mobile PDF tickets have been provided and are currently accessible to our customer. If the customer has been unable to locate the delivery email or access their tickets we recommend they contact customer service for further assistance. We maintain that all order details and relevant terms were sufficiently displayed prior to the customer placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed.

This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. As outlined above, our customer was aware of both any applicable fees and of their order total prior to placing their order. We maintain that all relevant terms were sufficiently displayed and agreed to by our customer. As such, we consider this matter closed.     I paid $1405.50 for 2 tickets to Elton John. After speaking with the wife, we decided that I purchased the wrong tickets. I called the buiness and asked for a refund. This was an hour after I purchased the tickets and I have no tickets yet. They told me they will not refund my money and my only option is to resell the tickets. Through another website. They can’t even resell them for me. This is a scam. I simply want a refund.

It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value.”

    Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Elton John, there they were able to see the tickets available, the Delivery Method and Expected Delivery Date (EAD). Once our customer selects the tickets they prefer, they were presented with the Delivery Method and directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $1,405.50 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $1,405.50 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

    Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

    Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns.     I was sold two tickets to see Marc Maron at the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater at Tobin Center in San Antonio, TX for Tuesday October 4, 2022. We went to the venue and not only did the event not happen but it was never scheduled. It seems Marc Maron performed at that venue exactly one year before on October 4, 2021. I’ve contacted tickets-center.com by phone twice in 2 weeks and still have not received a refund. The tickets were $312.79 and I have asked for a refund for 2 weeks now. I’ve been told twice over 2 weeks by their phone representatives that I would receive an email. I have not received any emails, phone calls or any correspondence at all. I understand there may be fees that are not refundable but I would like the price of the tickets refunded to me.

    On 10/13/2022 our customer completed a purchase for Fantasia Barrino in accordance with the following checkout process. Once our customer selected the tickets they preferred, they were presented with the delivery method as well as the expected delivery date, and were then directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side.
