Purchased 8/12/2022. Realized after transaction that I was on a third party Ticket reseller. Thought I was in the venue site. Called ticket-center customer service within two hours of transaction. First call hung up on me, the second agent was very rude and told me they won’t refund because I should have known what site I was on and that filing a dispute with the bank will take 90 days. Tried to get me to let them resell my tickets for me but would not refund the purchase.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Independent resale tickets, prices may be above face value.”
Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Wicked, there they were able to see the tickets available, the Delivery Method and Expected Delivery Date (EAD). Once our customer selects the tickets they prefer, they were presented with the Delivery Method and directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $389.50 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $389.50 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.
Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

Thank you for responding, we appreciate the opportunity to further address our customer's concerns. Regardless of how the customer navigated to our website for their ticket purchase, all disclosures identifying our company as a secondary ticket marketplace unaffiliated with any artist or venue, as well as the fact that prices may be above face value, are clearly displayed at multiple points on our website. These disclosures are also made within our terms of use, which customers must indicate that they have read and agreed to prior to completing their order. Our "all sales are final" policy is also outlined within these terms.
In addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their credit card account regarding this order. We are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.

On February 11, 2022 I purchased tickets from Tickets-Center. My order #41225733. I paid $1014.95 for two tickets and never received them. I tried calling customer service multiple times and get no response. I get sent to a SMS chat session and they kept reassuring me my tickets would arrive. They never arrived and now they do not respond to my messages or emails. I would like a refund for the full amount of what I paid.Business Response

Due to the nature of the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center does own or generate any tickets and therefore does not set or control the ticket delivery date. Rather, the estimated ticket delivery date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation. In this case the customer's order was fulfilled on 8/9/2022. At that time tickets were transferred electronically to the email address entered by the customer at the time of purchase. Our records indicate that the customer has not contacted customer service since the fulfillment of their order to report any issues. Dear BBB I have purchased 8 tickets for the Gypsy Kings concert at the PNE in Vancouver for August 27, 2022. While I was under the impression that I was using the official ticket seller for the PNE, I was tricked (same look and feel on website) to use Tickets-Center.com, which I realized since is not a very reliable seller. Besides paying triple and not getting the tickets until the day before, I am really worried they will not send me the tickets at all based on some of your reviews. I would like to ask your help to contact the company and ensure that the 8 tickets I paid almost $1,200 for will arrive and I will be able to attend the event with my 7 friends. I contacted the PNE, they cannot confirm that these tickets are valid. I tried to contact Tickets-Center in various ways, but not getting any response besides invitation to fill in a survey. I hope you can help me with contacting them and asking them to honour my purchase or return my money. Thanks, AnikoBusiness Response

They sold me fake tickets and refused to issue any type of refund and told me that the only solution would be for me to resell those fake tickets. I have real tickets and the barcodes are not in a similar formatting at all and there is no way that the tickets that they sent are real tickets. I had to go through my bank to report them to receive a refund and I’m sure they must be committing fraud against tons of people and this business needs to get shut down. The whole way they’re running the business is super shady and illegal and all they do is say that they gave background checks to the vendors but take no action to actually verify that the tickets are real and this business should not be allowed to continue to steal money from people and give them trash in return. I’m including the conversation where they refuse a refund as well as pictures with the fake tickets and my real tickets from the Hollywood Bowl where I tried to partially write over the real barcodes so no one uses them. You can still see the barcodes are totally different from the fake tickets they sold me. I couldn’t get great pictures of the conversation because the technology makes it choppy and jump around when you try to scroll through the conversation. It’s also almost impossible to get any human response from them and no one ever answered any phone calls or emails.Business Response

On Friday July 29th, 2022 I placed an order for tickets to a show in November. I thought the price was a bit high but proceeded on. Once purchased, I was informed that I would not receive the tickets to my email, nor even the seat number, until two days before the event. I then went to a different site to look at tickets and realized that I was on a reseller site before and the price for similar tickets was a quarter of what I paid. Two days after placing the order I tried to cancel since I had not received what I paid for yet and was flat out refused any kind of refund. I don't have tickets yet, how can I not be issued a refund unless the show is cancelled? I went around in circles with a customer service representative to no avail. This company is doing nothing but price gouging and scalping tickets and the advice they gave me was to resell the tickets I don't want at an even higher price.Business Response

On Sunday, 7/24/2020 I attempted to order tickets to Eric Clapton for 9/16/2020 concert at TD Garden in Boston MA. I do not know what happened but I got an email from Ticketmaster advising that Ticket-Center.com was sending me tickets to Eric Clapton for 9/18/2020 in Madison Square Garden, NY. Ticketmaster was ready to help me but couldn't because Ticket-Center originated sale. I truly have no clue what happened and no one at Ticket-Center would help. I just wanted to exchange NY tickets for Boston MA tickets. Customer Service rep refused to help and refused to transfer me to anyone else within company. I understand I made an error when I clicked OK but I tried to rectify this within hours of purchasing these tickets. Any help or direction you can give me to resolve this issue would be extremely helpful.Business Response

I purchased a ticket to a concert from this site on 05/26/2022. However on the date of the concert, when I went to redeem my ticket that I had paid $72.73, I was given a notice that my ticket had been redeemed by a different email. In this case the customer's ticket transfer was delivered shortly after their order was confirmed on 5/26/2022. The ticket transfer email was sent to the email address entered by the customer at the time of purchase and contained a link the customer should follow to accept their tickets. A clear and detailed explanation of this process was provided in the email sent to the customer. In an effort to resolve the customer's concern the original ticket holder was contacted and proof that our customer had properly accepted their ticket transfer was obtained.
Once a ticket transfer is accepted it is under the sole possession and control of the customer rather than the original ticket holder or Tickets-Center. Provided this information, our customer's order was considered fulfilled in accordance with both our buyer guarantee and all agreed upon terms and conditions. As it presently stands, the customer's order does not qualify for compensation and we consider this matter closed. We appreciate the customer's understanding throughout this matter and if they have any further questions regarding their order we encourage them to contact our customer care team.

Thank you for responding. We appreciate the opportunity to further address the customer's concerns and clarify our policies. As previously stated, tickets for the customer's event were transferred electronically to the email address entered by the customer at the time of purchase. The documentation obtained confirmed the validity of the transfer and the acceptance of the transfer by our customer. While we understand the customer was unable to locate their accepted tickets, any issues experienced with the third-party transfer platform are outside the purview of Tickets-Center and would not qualify the order for compensation. Furthermore, in addition to this current claim, our customer filed a dispute with their credit card company regarding this order. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in the customer's favor. For this reason no further resolution may be provided. If our customer has any further questions regarding this dispute, we encourage them to reach out to the financial institution with which it was filed. At this time, we consider this matter closed.

Today (7/26/22) my daughter ordered tickets to an event on December 7, 2022 in Raleigh, NC. She immediately discovered that this is a scammer and called them within 5 minutes to cancel and they would not cancel the order. We paid over $750 for tickets and now I see that many people don’t even receive the overprice tickets. This company gouges customers and is a complete scam. If they were a legitimate business they would refund the money for order #45694084. We are seeking a resolution through legal avenues but also needed to alert the BBB to this scam.Business Response

Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $743.04 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $743.04 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
In addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their PayPal account regarding this order. We are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.

Thank you for responding. We appreciate the opportunity to further address our customer's concerns. All pertinent information including our role as a secondary ticket marketplace, the fact that listings reflect independent resale tickets, the fact that price may be above face value, and our all sales are final policy, is prominently displayed at several points during the ticket browsing, ticket selection, checkout, and order confirmation stages of navigating our website. All of this information can also be found in our terms of use, which all buyers must indicate that they have read and agreed to prior to making any purchase.
In addition to this current claim, our customer filed a dispute with their PayPal account regarding this order. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in Ms. Steelman's favor. If our customer has any further questions regarding this dispute, we encourage them to reach out to the financial institution with which it was filed. At this time, we consider this matter closed.

I was on the website for Merriwether Post Pavillion, and I clicked on buy tickets for an upcoming concert. I purchased 4 tickets to a concert on August 18 for $463.50. The tickets were not sent to me as indicated by the company. I looked back on the Merriwether site and realized that the tickets sold by Merriwether are $50 less per ticket. I called Tickets-Center and asked for a refund, they said that they do not ever provide refunds. This company is not with which I thought I was doing business; they are not clear about the fact that their tickets are so overpriced. I have contacted the MD Attorney General's office and filed a consumer complaint as well as my credit card company to dispute the charge. I was scammed, and I hope that something can be done to stop them from using dishonest business practices.Business Response

I was on the website of Merriwether Post Pavillion. I clicked on buy tickets on their site, and it took me to the Tickets-Center site. I purchased the tickets from what I thought was the original seller. Tickets-Center did not make it clear that they were not the seller sanctioned by Merriwether Post Pavillion. They did not make it clear that the prices of their tickets were twice as much as the tickets sold by Merriwether. This was clearly deceptive on Tickets-Center's part as no one would knowingly purchase tickets that are double the price. Tickets-Center is a ticket scalping scam. The only resolution that would be acceptable to me is for a refund for the difference between the cost for 4 tickets from Merriwether, $156 plus taxes and fees and the price of the scalped tickets which was $463.50. When reading more about this company, it is clear that they make most of their money from scamming unsuspecting people online. As a senior citizen, I hope that the BBB will facilitate this refund for me.

Thank you for responding. We appreciate the opportunity to further address our customer's concerns. As stated in our previous response, the top of every page during the event browsing, ticket selection, and checkout processes reads “Independent resale tickets, prices may be above face value.” Before placing an order, every customer is required to indicate that they have read our terms of service, which further outline our status as a secondary ticket marketplace which is unaffiliated with any artist, event organizer, or venue. Separate from our terms, an additional message is shown directly next to the box customers must check to confirm their purchase. This message includes the agreement " I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations." Tickets-Center has always done our due diligence in making sure that customers are making informed decisions by displaying these messages at every possible opportunity.
In addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their credit card regarding this order. We are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.
