      We cosigned for our oldest daughter on three loans with them. The third being fall semester 2022, approved and even tried to give us $5,000 more than we needed. 10 minutes later I cosigned for my youngest daughter's freshman 1st semester. Denied. They won't even talk to me. I still get emails telling me I'm a preferred customer. Customer service was great the first time around, this time terrible. Amazing they get an A+ BBB rating even after loosing a lawsuit for predatory lending. If I knew that I would have never considered them.

      Had my loan discharged from my college because I had dropped out to help my mother with a transplant only to be told by Sallie Mae that I'll need to pay any interest occurred, even though they're getting their money back. Sallie Mae is a scam, DO NOT USE.

      I had auto pay set up at least a couple of months prior to the first payment on a loan coming due. I increased the amount for the autopay in June for a late July (18) payment date and still got a late charge of $25 because they said that it takes at least a month of billing cycle to have autopay actually work. Unbelievable. We were forced to take this loan because the school my daughter went to refused to work with us after she needed to change a class during COVID and now SallieMae does this. They send me mail every single day wanting to provide more lending or more loans. I will NEVER take another loan from them or from the school my daughter attended. CORRUPT! I pay all my bills on time!

      I have never applied for, or used their service. Nor do I want to. I receive 4+ letters in the mail each month asking if I want to use their services. I send back every single one, with big "RETURN TO SENDER - REMOVE FROM MAILING LIST" in bright red Sharpie. Only to find another the next week. They've followed me to 2 different addresses. I'm pretty sure this counts as either unsolicited mail or harrassment, or both at this point.

      They honestly deserve zero stars. Please don’t EVER take a loan out with SM. My God, they don’t even care if you’re about to be out in the streets they just want their money. They have zero options to help you if you are in a bind, even though they say they do. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY
